The clerk nodded and asked Kajus " what can I do for you ?"
" Well I need armor, I've been using leather armor but the armor immodestly got worn and it now looks brittle,I want sturdy armor!"
"Sturdy armor huh?" The clerk laughed
"What do you need the armor for?"
"Orcs and other unknown threats, I am part of a battle clan"
" I see"
The clerk nodded and walked towards one of the silver armours' that was on display, it looked nice but it also looked common.
'I am not really short on money, and I've fallen quite in love with enchanted items so getting an enchanted armor would be amazing'
"This armour is a sturdy but heavy armour, I was thinking that you were a big guy and you seem strong so I believe that heavy armor suits you well rather than light armour."
"I guess so, I am yet of the knight rank though but I will become one soon, will that be a problem?"
"well... maybe, we do have some more expensive wares that are enchanted are you interested in those, and let me remind you they are VERY expensive"
"Yes, please show me the wares"
The clerk sighed thinking that he was wasting his time showing off their expensive wares but he knew that the client's father was a close friend to his master so he did it anyway. Olaf only smiled, knowing that his son was filthy rich.
The clerk walked away behind the counter and only came back 1 minute later, he held a chest plate and nothing else.
"This chestplate is enchanted with a mix of fire magic and cold magic making this chest plate the right one in all environments, it adapts to your surroundings and adjusts the temperature accordingly, It's a little pricey, worth around 1 gold. How about it are you interested"
Kajus pondered and looked at the chestplate.
'well it does sound good but he didn't say anything about the protection it offers and it doesn't look very sturdy'
The clerk sighed " I know 1 gold is a lot so let's stick to the ones on display here on the first floor" he said as he prepared to take away the chestplate he had brought out.
"Don't get me wrong, my budget is around 100 gold, I want an enchanted armour that can protect me, this is the last time I am telling you this, now I don't want anything ordinary, if you can't find me a suit of armour for 100 gold I will need to look elsewhere" Kajus said in a annoyed tone.
The clerk froze and gazed at Kajus with a glare. "100 gold? you? I know your family, your dad visits us a lot so I thought I would be nice and play your games and bring out an enchanted armour but know you are going to far son of Olaf"
Olaf laughed "hey kid, bring out your master, this transaction is to hard for you to handle"
"I said my master is busy, now scram"
Kajus looked over to the pompous clerk and sighed, he looked over to Olaf with an annoyed look.
"I guess ill have to bring Igor out myself" Olaf said
Olaf took large strides towards the counter but he was stopped by the clerk. "I said my master is bu-" Olaf punched him in the gut making the clerk fall to his knees while holding his stomach.
Then a deep laugh was heard from behind the counter from the source of the heat that Kajus felt.
"please forgive my employee" he said in a nonchalant tone before laughing "he is still young and arrogant"
"no worries old friend" Olaf laughed and walked to greet the man.
The man in question was called Igor and it was him that Olaf knows, the man was tall at about 1.90 and he had a big red beard, his body was sweaty and burly.
After they greeted each other Igor looked over to Kajus, "you must be Olafs son, I heard 100 gold and came running" Igor laughed
" I am and I do have 100 gold on me" Kajus responded
"Let's get down to business, follow me to the second floor, that's where all the enchanted stuff is"
The clerk had an ugly face as he glared at Kajus.
Kajus ignored the clerk and nodded to Igor, Kajus followed Igor to the second floor, when he arrived atop the staircase he was shocked by the scene.
In Front of him were 10 armours all radiating a pressure that felt suffocating, they all glowed with different colours, like a rainbow.
"these are either rare armours that I've bought or had enchanted, they all are premium and will guarantee your life on the battlefield"
"I see, well please guide me since I feel a little overwhelmed, I am just searching for something that will keep me protected"
Igor pondered and walked up to a yellow armour
"this one had increased protection and can not be penetrated by mere swords or arrows. There is a protection magic around this plate armour, I have crafted the armour myself and on my travels had it enchanted."
"I see" Kajus pondered
'This is getting difficult, I shouldn't buy the first best thing'
"what about that one over there?" Kajus pointed towards an armour with a green glow.
"good eye, I bought this armour in the capital, it has not only increased protection but it's also lightweight! Its protection ability might not be as good as the other one but the same rules apply to it, it can only be pierced by enchanted blades or arrows, or someone of the stalwart rank ofc."
Kajus pondered 'It does sound good, I really like the lightweight part'
Igor took the initiative to present another armour.
"this one is dual enchanted by both runes and magic, my disciple was the one putting on the runes actually, he is a genius and you won't ever be disappointed by his work, its not the clerk downstairs that enchanted it but my actual disciple" he laughed
'runes? yes its the same kind of runes as the arrow i bought!'
"what does it do?"
"Well the runes made it tougher and the magic is a special kind of magic, a friend of mine who is a wizard enchanter has enchanted this armour and it not only makes it lightweight but it also makes one stronger!"
Kajus eyes glowed when he heard that a wizard had enchanted the armour and to top it off he knew that the runes were the real deal. He knew the kind of strength a wizard could wield so he was really motivated to get this armour.
"how much is this set?"
"98 gold" Igor said
"I'll take it!"
