Cindy looked out the window gloomily as Alex drove through the busy road. She kept thinking about everything that happened and didn't engage in any small talk with Alex. Alex glanced at Cindy from the corner of his eyes, 'Why was she holding a knife to her throat like that?' Soon they reached Cindy's apartment. Cindy was going to get out of the car when Alex called out, "Wait". Cindy stopped and looked at him, "What?"
She feared he will ask her about today.
Alex: When you get home, tell mom I'm waiting for her in the car.
Cindy: Oh...
'He stopped me to say this? It's good for me but...'
Cindy: Aren't you gonna go upstairs?
Alex sighed, "I'll pass, I feel a bit sick".
Cindy paused for a moment, "Alright". Cindy got out of the car and walked toward her apartment. She murmured, "you went out on a date, why do you feel sick anyway?"

The doorbell rang, Owen hurried to open the door.
Owen: Welcome back Mom!
Cindy: Hey champ! Where's your grandma?
Cindy closed the door behind her.
Carla: Whomst has summoned the grandma!
Olivia and Owen giggled.
Cindy cleared her throat, "I have summoned thou! Thy son is waiting for thou downstairs".
Carla laughed out, "Thank god Shakespeare isn't alive to see us butchering his english".
The room got filled with laughter and giggles.
After a moment, Carla suddenly stopped and looked at Cindy, with a serious tone she said, "I've decided I'll come everyday to your place to take care of my grandchildren. You won't have to hire a nanny".
Cindy: But—
Carla: No buts. Alex will drop me off and you'll go to work with him that way you won't have to worry about the bus.
Cindy looked down and replied, "It will be too awkward for both of us..."
Carla looked down and sighed, "Cindy, I don't know why he did that 8 years ago, it wasn't something he would do, but I know he is very sorry for it. You won't have to give him a chance but at least give him a chance to rectify his mistakes maybe?"
Cindy didn't reply anything, she stared quietly at the floor.
Carla smiled and patted her head, "I'm gonna leave now. See you all tomorrow!"
Owen and Olivia hugged Carla, "Yaayy, we're gonna see grandma everyday!!"
Cindy smiled looking at their jolly faces and got emotional.
Carla gave her a tight hug, "Things are gonna be different now,so get used to it".
Cindy nodded.
Carla wiped Cindy's eyes and kissed her on the forehead.
Owen: I want a kiss too!!
Olivia: Me too!!
Carla chuckled, "ok ok come here!!"

Next morning, Melissa put a brown envelope in her bag and got in the taxi. Once again, she wore a weird disguise which caught everyone's attention.
Melissa: M&A, Burton streets.
She had her fingers crossed hoping it works out.
