Xavier watched the road, Xavier was just given his G2 license, he was to nervous to travel anywheres far but Xavier still did it for his Mom anyways. he listened closely to the sounds of sniffling from his Mom when she didn't want to cry, like usual Xavier was her rock.
Xavier looked quickly at the dash, he slightly turned up the music and continued his way down the road, he thought to himself has he sung the lyrics to his Mom. Xavier always loved to sing since he was able to understand how to talk, the fondest memories made Xavier feel warm, happy and content. as Xavier drifted into his thoughts, a little smile crept up on him. The feeling of grass tickling his toes, and the sweet sound of his Fathers voice echoed through his ears, he could almost hear his voice. Xavier shed a tear intill his Mom snapped him out of his thoughts, her shaky hand gripped his knee and she held her other hand on her chest, gasping for air.
Xavier pulled onto the side of the road, taking off his seat belt so he could comfort his Mother. "Mom, just breathe." he wrapped her into his arms . "Remember one, two, three," he said calmly as he started to inhale, Xavier felt his mother shake, but he also felt her chest rise. "exhale four, five, six" Xavier whispered into his Mothers ear, as he swayed her side to side. "thank you Bubs," she exhaled and sat back up, still regulating her breathing. "I'm sorry," she tried to apologize, but her Son, Xavier hushed her. "Mom, you can't be sorry for having these reactions. you can't control them yet-" Xavier was soon cut off by his Mom. "no, Xavier. I'm a terrible mother!" she held her chest, holding back her tears. "I should be taking care of you." she paused to take a breath "you were in that accident aswell." she looked guilty, and it drove Xavier crazy.
Xavier shut off the car, and took the keys out from the ignition. "you can't blame yourself, Mom." he had crossed his arms, Xavier wanted her to know how he felt, she was going to do the listening for once. "why not?" she asked, like a smartass. "if I didn't get distracted yelling at you, Piper and Dad wouldn't be dead." she still had tears rolling from her face, her bottom lip quivered as she held her emotions in, ready to explode. Xavier was tired, he rubbed his face. "so, it's my fault?" he asked sternly, he turned and looked his Mother in the eyes. "you need to grow the hell up, mom. it was neither of us, the driver was drunk." Xavier started to raise his voice, watching his Mom break even more. "since spring mom!" Xavier exclaimed to her, Xavier was so angry. infuriated, even. Xavier shook his head. "since spring, you've been teaching me to better, but I just want to be me, Xavier." she leaned into him, and whispered "I'm more then a man you'll ever be, alright?" she growled slowly at Xavier.
