Chapter 3 - remembering piper

xavier pulled into the driveway of their new, large home. xavier put the car in park as his mother clapped her hands together. xaviers mother finally had light in her eyes, a slim of hope.

xaviers mother squealed, grabbing onto xaviers arm and shaking him. "it's so beautiful! and look at that window!" she turned her gaze to the bay window, xavier nodded, he couldn't stop thinking about the fight that happened earlier. "yes mom, its beautiful." he paused, "piper would have loved it here." he replied to his mother, xavier unbuckled his seat belt and unlocked the car doors. xaviers mother unbuckled her seat belt aswell opening her door to step out, xavier could feel the mood brighten, he could feel the excitement in the air. "this is for you, piper." he had whispered under his breath. xavier listened to the sound of the trunk being popped open. xavier pulled the keys out after putting the car in park, he opened the driver side door to help his mother carry in boxes. when xavier walked around the corner his mother had a big box in her hand, labelled 'pipers belongings.' xavier sighed, and pulled out his box of belongings. xaviers mother started to walk up to the house, xavier followed. once the two got up to the front door, xaviers mother set down the box and opened the door, it slowly crept open. "here's the beauty." xaviers mom bent over, picking up the box to bring inside, Xavier walked into the echoed halls, he scanned through the large, expensive rooms. "you bought it with the furniture?" xavier asked his mom. xaviers mom nodded with a sigh "it costed more, of course." she paused as she set the box on the dining room table. "but it looks nice, right?" she smiled. xavier nodded and headed up the stairs "it looks great mom." once xavier got to the top, he adventures his way around, eventually finding the room with the bay window. xavier set his box on the new dresser, before he walked over to the large window, xavier stood there and watched as his mother grabbed afew more boxes. suddenly, out the corner of xaviers eye, the neighbors house caught his attention. there was a girl, looking at him through the window, xavier smiled and waved at the girl, her hair was blonde. xavier shrugged it off at first but he noticed a blue and purple patch that surrounded the girls eye.

xaviers attention was taken away when he heard his name being called, so he rushed down the stairs to help his mother unpack the boxes. xavier started off by setting their books on the white, floor to ceiling book shelf, that sat next to the nice television and leather sofas. as he individually set the books in it's place, xavier picked up a picture frame, that had a picture of the four of them. xavier ran his thumb across the frame, feeling each of the grooves. the memories fondly appeared like a movie film in his head, the running feet of their old golden retriever, rex. xavier could see a blurred girl sitting under the tree reading a book, he walked up and sat next to the girl, piper. piper flashed a smile and held up the book she was reading, the shiny white teeth of piper almost blinded xavier, piper was perfect. piper was xaviers world, and his guardian angel. xavier soon became teary eyed.
