Chapter 5 - her angelic voice

Xavier arrived at the school pretty drained of his energy, he had to walk for thirty minutes, he missed his bus this morning and his mom refused to drive him.

Xavier walked up to the principals office and signed in, shortly a tall, skinny, well kept male walked out of the office. Principal Wallace. xavier smiled and held out his hand, he had a firm shake with his new principal.

"So I assume you're Mr. Murphy, correct?" his deep voice echoed through the empty room, Xavier nodded and replied to his principal "guilty, sorry I'm late. my mom and I had a car issue," Xavier laughed nervously, but the principal read him like a book. "I'm sure you did, Xavier. we have afew kids from your grade to show you around, meet Monica, Martin, and Clyde." the principal introduced Xavier to the two well and mannered dressed males, and the 'preppy' girl. Xavier smiled even brighter at Martin and Clyde, because they were holding hands openly infront of the staff. Xavier walked over to the group of helpers as he pulled his bag closer to his chest, he let of a big sigh and just as Xavier was about to ask 'what first', Monica spoke. Her voice was higher pitched, but also angelic at the same time. Resulting in Xavier to feel his heart sink to his feet. That feeling, was the feeling he had when Piper and dad would sing to him. He lost his train of thought, But suddenly Clyde snapped in his face. "Boy, I'll slap you silly. Stop drolling over my baby sister when she asked you a question-" Clyde looked into Xavier's lost eyes. Xavier looked at Monica "right, sorry- what was the question again?-" Xavier asked politely. Monica crossed her arms, shaking her head. "I said-" she said this in a sassy, cute tone. She made it clear she was definitely to be listened to. "We can start of with the location of your locker, and then you can find ways around to your classes." She ended her sentence with a sweet smile, Xavier loved her smile, her dimples. The way her cheeks blushed pink with her dirty blonde hair. Xavier nodded "that's perfect." Xavier chuckled as they already starting walking about, Clyde went on about his math teacher, and Martin just swooned over him. Xavier looked at Monica, the way she walked down the hall confidently made him feel like he was seeing Piper again. Piper would have loved Monica, Xavier held onto his backpack "so, Monica, where is English? its A21." He added. Monica smiled and she paused "here" she spoke as she searched her pockets "I swore I had it somewhere." She giggled nervously.

Xavier watched her pull out a sheet of paper, he looked over it, a map. "a map of the school?" he asked. "yes, and this will help you find your way around! our school is big." she winked at Xavier before walking off, with a cheery skip to every step. Xavier shook his head and laughed, he felt different about Monica.
