Simon seemed a little dazed upon seeing Stella's bright smile. He said, "Good morning."
"Good mo...Owww!!" Stella winced as she tried to get up.
Simon helped her sit up and propped up pillows. Stella pouted, "I suspected as much. You did give me medicines yesterday."
Simon put up his hands, "Guilty as charged. How are you feeling?"
Stella scrunched up her nose for a minute before she said, "Everything hurts. But other than that, perfectly fine."
Simon chuckled, "I'm relieved hearing everything's fine. How about some breakfast?"
Stella's eyes brightened up at the thought of food, "You brought something?"
Simon patted her head, "I'm not letting my patient eat junk food anymore. Think you can move?"
Stella tried moving a little and nodded, "Nothing compared to the first time I saw you."
Simon: "Okay then. Freshen up. I'll be back in half an hour."
Stella opened her mouth and began, "Where....
Oh what's the use. Damn these vampires and their speed." She said to herself as Stella pulled herself up and headed towards the bathroom.
After half an hour, Stella was struggling with her hair wearing one of June's brown mini-skirt, which covered three fourth of Stella's thighs, and a yellow long sleeved blouse. She suddenly heard a roar and hurried to her window and saw a very big mountain jeep parked a few yards from the house.
Just as Stella was wondering who the owner was, she heard someone laughing behind her.
Stella turned to see Simon leaning on the wall just beside the door, looking at her.
As Stella raised an eyebrow, Simon said, "Your hair looks like a jungle. Why don't you cut them a bit shorter."
Stella's eyes widened in horror and she hugged her long hair, shaking her head.
Simon was surprised, "You love your hair that much?"
Stella: "Yeah. It's the only thing I got from my dad."
Simon: "Really? So you look exactly like your mom? Except for the hair?"
Stella shrugged, "I don't really know. She died a few days after my birth. But dad always said I'm like a small copy of her. Well, save the hair."
Simon sat on the bed, "Do you miss her?"
Stella: "Who? Mom? Not really. I never knew her. I miss dad though."
Simon: "Your dad is dead too!?!?"
Hearing the surprise in his voice, Stella turned around, "Sharp didn't tell you?"
Simon ruffled his mud coloured hair, "Well he told me your story after you ran away from your home."
Stella turned back to the mirror as she said, "Figures. Because that is the part that matters to you all."
Simon hurriedly explained, "No no. I would love to hear about your childhood."
Stella put the brush on the dressing table ans said, "I'm afraid it would be a very dull story. But I think you owe me a story."
Simon tilted his head in confusion, "Huh?"
Stella rolled her eyes, "You guys can eat food!!!!"
"Oh that!!!" Realisation dawned on Simon's face as he chuckled, "How about I tell you about it on the way?"
Stella was excited, "Where are we going?"
Simon dangled the keys in front of her eyes, "Breakfast of course."
Stella smiled and then slowly walked with Simon to his jeep.
