As Stella reached for a bag of snacks, a hand came forward and blocked her path.
Stella looked up, cause she usually had to look up to talk to most people, to see a girl a little older than her blocking her path.
"Umm, can I help you?" Stella was uncertain. What did this woman want?
"You're the one who is shopping for Den, right?" The girl said in a harsh tone.
"More like he was shopping for me." Stella thought to herself as she said, "Den Sharp? Yeah I am."
The girl: "Who is he to you?"
Stella placed a finger under her chin. This was a rather difficult question to answer. What was their relationship? After a while, she said, "Why do you ask me this?"
The girl looked at Stella up and down and scoffed, "You must be some acquaintance. I don't believe that his standards would sink so low as to be with a girl like you."
Stella shrugged and the girl walked away.
She followed her movement with her eyes and found out that the girl was the daughter of the owner of the store.
"No wonder the owner is letting me shop for free. His daughter seemed to like Sharp. Well, can't say I really blame her. With all the good looks of these vampires." Stella mumbled to herself as she completed the rest of her shopping.
After doing that, Stella walked out of the store. She really wanted to get some clothes, but she had no money. "I guess I'll have to do with June's clothes for now. Until I get a job anyway." She mumbled to herself as Stella began her long walk back to the cottage.
As Stella was halfway to the cottage, she suddenly stopped in her tracks and strained her ears. She could swear that she had heard something. "God I hope some wild animal is not coming here." Stella mumbled to herself as she quickened her pace. But after about a metre or two, her fears were realised.
It was not some predator, that much was a relief. Out of the nearby bushes came a wild boar charging straight towards Stella.
She shrieked and started running in the opposite direction with all her might.
Stella kept running without any regard to where she was going. She cut herself on many low hanging branches, but had no time to stop as the boar continued to chase her.
Just as Stella thought that she had left him behind and turned her head to check, she suddenly lost her footing and came tumbling down what seemed like a grassy slope.
When finally Stella stopped, her clothes torn here and there, she herself a mess of mud and sweat and a little blood, Stella turned around and let out her breath as she saw no sign of the boar.
Stella got up and winced due to the sharp pain in her left leg. Stella pulled up the dress to see that she had cut her thigh somewhere and a lot of blood was coming out. Stella limped as she picked up whatever of her shopping she could find, then looked around.
Her heart sunk upon realising that she had come to some unknown part of the wood.
