I cursed myself for blushing so hard, but which was more frustrating was that I didn't even knew why I was blushing. I went upto the person to reassure myself that I was probably hallucinating, but to my utter surprise it was really Ahana. She was in my class.
But I was confused as to why I didn't notice her yesterday. Then I felt like slapping myself at that stupid thought, because I was actually so scared yesterday that it was pretty obvious that I didn't notice anyone moreover she sat in the farthest corner of the class which is not even visible from the first row.
"Hey, Ahana" I said as I sat beside her, expecting her again to avoid me as usual.
"Did you just..." I snapped to see her eyes wide open in shock nd confusion at me.
"Wow, finally someone responded" I said finding myself a little more confident after her response.
"How do you know my name?" she asked in an angry voice to hide her fear behind it.
"Hey, please dont be scared, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable " I said feeling a bit guilty at her state. She was visibly shaken and I could feel that even if she was trying her level best to hide that.
"How did you know my name?" she asked again almost gritting her teeth, ignoring my comforting words, probably caz she didn't trust me.
"umm.....I met your brother and he-" I was cut short by her pulling me out of the classroom.
I looked around and saw admonished eyes of boys and jelous eyes of girls on us as she kept pulling me out of the class and through the hallways. I do not know why I did not protested at her actions but I was just looking her walk before me holding my hand. She was much shorter than me but damn boy, was she strong.
She was wearing a baggie full sleeve shirt, with a pair of sweat pants and oviously that bucket hat and mask. Our outfit styles matched a lot, caz I also wear a baggie shirt and bucket hat and mask and sweat pants or loose pair of jeans.
She stopped only after we entered the library and was in front of the table she was sitting yesterday. "Sit down" she said in an angry tone trying her best to hide her horror stricken voice. I again didn't protest and did as I was told.
"Where did you met him?" she asked sitting on the other side of the desk.
"Well I work at a departmental store and he came in the morning to buy stuff" I replied feeling a bit intimidated by the look she was giving me.
"How exactly did you know that it was my brother?"
"We were having a conversation and he told your name for the bill and also on the context of our conversation " I said as briefly as I could, as I was pretty sure she was growing impatient and more scared by each passing moment.
"So you saw all the things he bought under my bill right?" she asked with a much lower and calm tone now, looking down at her hands as her fingers played depicting her nervous state.
"Yes, everything" I said being a little confused as there was nothing that suspicious that a girl cannot buy except the ridiculous amount of lace, although for a girl like her I was even surprised a little that she actually used that amount of hair care and skin care products.
"Even the.....laces?" she asked l, which was almost a whisper but I was able to hear it.
"Yes" i replied feeling a little uncomfortable at the awkward atmosphere around us.
