Gracelyn managed to escape the bedroom to find Laila who seemed to be having a round off fighting men. She came rushing to me with urgency in her eyes.
"We have to get back to Evigon this world isn't safe and these men are greed of sex." Laila said out of breath.
"Can't your father grant you your wings to get us out of here?" Gracelyn asked.
"It's possible but I have no way of letting him know that I need them temporarily." Laila replied out loud as they held steady to one another.
The ship rocked back and forth across the sea. Neither of them wanted to lose their lives being on a dangerous ship. Gracelyn wanted to be free of her parent's rulings but now she wishes they could turn back. Before she could keep hold of Laila she heard a deep growl behind them. Gracelyn and Laila both slowly turned around to see Korin mad at them both.
"Princess, you are supposed to be in my cabin awaiting the storm. You are supposed to be working on deck no matter what the men say or do." Korin said in anger.
"Korin, sir, Laila is my guardian can she stay with me. I need her to be by my side." Gracelyn asked gracefully.
"Sir? You are a Princess and address me as sir? As for your friend, no, we need a female to mend the ship too. Their is more than just her that is a woman on this ship." Korin replied in a demanding voice.
"Really? And where are they located?" Gracelyn asked with annoyance in her voice.
Gracelyn watched as he headed toward the end of the ship and both of them followed. Gracelyn knew trouble was going to happen when she couldn't see Laila much. After walking a few feet to the back deck, sure enough their was a few women who seemed happy to see a new face especially one that looked like Tessa and Lacey, wait...
Lacey came over like a bull in charge that looked at Laila like death.
"Where is my sister? Where is Lucy?" Lacey demanded.
Laila looked at her with a look that told her she knew this was going to happen.
"She is back at Evigon, I made her stay behind because Laila is my guardian and well, now back to Tessa's too." Gracelyn replied, biting her lip.
"You took her future wife from her. Gracelyn, you are one selfish person. Tessa at least knew to bring me along and not leave me behind. Laila you should have fought to stay with Lucy." Lacey yelled as the water splashed onto them.
"Gracelyn you are supposed to be ahead of the throne, why the hell did you leave?" Tessa screamed at her.
"I wanted freedom, I wanted to see the world, and I thought you two were ruling her Kingdom?" Gracelyn replied, fighting tears.
"What we do is none of your concern. You are only seventeen and shouldn't be leaving the Kingdom." Tessa responded with anger.
"You left the Kingdom with Lacey at seventeen, why can't I? You even married her to prove to our parents that we didn't have to be with a man. Why can't I be like you?" Gracelyn replied in a complaining voice.
"I am lesbian, Gracelyn. I am in love with Lacey. You are in love with Larkin last I heard." Tessa responded through more crashing waves.
"What is a lesbian? And I thought in these times their was no terms." Gracelyn replied as she got closer to her sister.
"A lesbian is a woman who likes the same sex. I love Lacey and ran off with her for a reason. I didn't want to marry Larkin anyhow no matter how close I was to him. Laila is for Lucy, they love each other. You stole Laila for no reason." Tessa explained gently as the waves calmed down.
"You three ladies need to get back to work. Princess, you need to come with me!" Korin said, interrupting any progress between them.
Lacey, Tessa, and Laila all took their assigned jobs in one spot of the ship to talk more as Gracelyn felt her world crashing around her seeing that her sister was now a pirate. Korin took Gracelyn back to his cabin as he sat on his bed and looked at her with a smile that wasn't of her interest.
"Come sit and we can discuss those other two as you know them too." Korin said in a soft gentle voice.
"The woman I was talking to is my sister and that is her wife. I didn't know they were pirates." Gracelyn replied pacing back and forth.
"Wait, I have one princess and two queen's on my ship?" Korin responded by touching his unshaven beard.
"Yes, sir. Laila is our guardian that is what I have been trying to tell you and I left her fiance back at Evigon." Gracelyn replied, still pacing the room.
"This will look good at my next location, we have to move this ship across to England fast so you can meet another fellow Princess that I know. You will like her, she is sweet and very attractive, unfortunately she is into women as well from what Tessa explained." Korin responded by now standing and looking out the window.
Gracelyn felt more like her connection to Korin meant that she might be able to get Laila back to Evigon to be with Lucy again and she can maybe convince her parents to let her marry him or this fellow Princess. Gracelyn felt stuck for the most part on where she is going with who she will decide but their is so many people in the world that she may never have to settle. Korin left the room to demand higher speeds then brought back with him Laila, Tessa, and Lacey.
"All four of you can have my room, I will bunk with my men downstairs, and thank you for coming aboard. We will make this trip go as smoothly as possible and enjoy your time with us. I won't be so mean anymore. Gracelyn, thank you for teaching me that their is more to the world including all three here." Korin said as he left them in silence.
They all four ended up sleeping in the captain's king size bed and slept until the afternoon. Gracelyn had no idea that the ship would become a home in the days ahead.
