Birdie got up in a better mood today. She felt more confident and rested. She got ready to go to work and dressed in a blue and white striped suit that fitted her perfectly. As she was doing her makeup, Jason ran in her room scaring her.
"You're not going to believe what one of the papers said" he was breathing heavily from going up the stairs, "All of the papers published great reviews, they all loved it, but there's this one that apart from giving us a good review also caught a photo of you kissing with someone which even though you can only see his back, to me he looks awfully familiar" Jason knew who he was but still wanted Birdie to confess she kissed with Asher.
"What !?" Birdie could not believe this was happening to her, she was so careful that no one was left in the venue where the party happened last night. Seeing the kiss in the photo made her go back to the exact moment it happened, and all the emotions that she felt, and that she tried to forget unsuccessfully.
As she was in her own mind thinking about how yummy were Asher's lips Jason was looking between her and the article. He still couldn't believe she kissed with him. To confirm it he tried to break her day dreaming and shook her to wake her.
Birdie wa shocked when she started shaking and stopped dreaming about their kiss. "What, what, what, I'm awake, I'm awake !" she shouted. She looked at Jason with widened eyes in a silent question as to why did he do that.
"Will you explain ?" Jason asked with false kindness. He wanted an explanation and it better be a good one. "Well, he came to the party because he found out that we were here because of the news in the television all across the globe. And I told him that the event was really important and that if he wanted to talk he could after the event", Birdie paused to take air.
"And when i met him outside we started arguing and he pushed me against the wall and kissed me senseless. He is a great kisser i must admit that.. But it took me by surprise and when I realised what I was doing I pushed him and ran to my car. He chased me through the streets in his car and then I lost him and got home".
Jason stood there not really knowing what to do, he was speechless at he rant and what happened. "Anyway now I have to solve this, I'll just call the paper and tell them to claim its false and that they are sorry or something like that" Birdie was determined to make the matter go away.
Meanwhile, in HQ Asher was having breakfast with some of his old friends, Mason, Nadine, Justin and Izaro. He was telling them about his assignment and of how wonderful Birdie was. He didn't know that right now a big population of the world was looking for him as the man that kissed Birdie Conde.
"Sooooo, you like her right ?" asked Nadine knowing that he more than like her, after all she was a girl. "I don't know, I think I like her more than just like her" Asher said knowing full well that if he said loved he would be mocked for the rest of his like by his friends.
"You're so whipped man" Said Justin laughing hard. He had never seen his friend so touched by a girl. actually never since Asher never really dated anyone. "So when do we get to meet her ?" asked Izaro, he was really excited to meet her. After all you don't get to meet girl that can catch the heart of one of the toughest people in the world.
"When I get her, I'm going to her work today to see if I can talk her into this. And maybe asked her out, Which reminds me that I have to get going, I'll see you later guys ?" he asked, "Yeah, sure" they all answered at the same time which made everyone laugh. Asher got up and went to his car to go find his girl.
When Birdie got to the office she was greeted by her employees congratulating her about the party, but she could tell that they wanted to know who this mysterious person that was kissing her yesterday was. After all she was a really intelligent and beautiful woman. All the male employees in the office had a crush on her and even some girls too, which wasn't so surprising, since she really was amazingly pretty. Also this aura of power she had around her even though she was adorable being so tiny, and that made her more appealing.
Birdie got to her office only to find a gift seated in her chair. "What the hell do you think you're doing here !?" she asked Asher, she was trained to never be vulnerable but when she was with him she suddenly became powerless and couldn't think properly. Asher smiled when he realised he had an effect on her. At least she wasn't emotionless towards him.
"I'm here to see you of course" he answered like the most normal thing in the world. "Did someone see you entering the building ?" Birdie was worried someone did and discovered he was the mysterious guy, like he was being called right now.
"Nope, but why are you so worried ? It's not like I'm important so no one would notice me" he said with a confused face as to why she was so worried someone saw him. "Didn't you see the paper ?" she asked a bit incredulous, "They got a photo of us kissing yesterday, you have to go, right now. I can't see you again, please go" she begged him. She didn't want any trouble.
"No can do little bird,no can do, I have to talk to you" he said standing up and getting closer to her. Seeing this Birdie started backing up till she hit the wall behind her, and then she knew she had no way out. She would have to listen, after all she was trapped in her own office.
"Fine, I'll listen to you, but you have to leave space between us or I can't concentrate" she said without noticing she said this. As she did though she took her hands to her mouth to cover it "I d-din't mean that" she tried to defend herself, but Asher already heard, and he had a big attractive smile on her face that made her weak in the knees.
"No worries, you distract me too when I'm near you, that doesnt mean though that I don't like it so I'm just going to stay here. What do you think ?" he asked teasing her.
"I also want another thing apart from you to hear me out, I also want a good morning kiss" he said, and with that he leaned to her and kissed her passionately.
