Chapter 3 - 1.3

If you think about it once again.

This world was similar to a story I once read online.

Not really but a little same, there were guardians in here.

The Capital in the centre was ruled by Jade Emperor, they said the army rode Qilin; the name rang a bell since it was a famous creature from Chinese folktales.

The East ruled by the Azure Dragon, where dragon clan originally lived.

The South by the Great Phoenix, where the bird clan lived.

The West protected by the White Tiger, near my place.

While the North had the Black Turtle as their protector.

The world was wider than my explanation but they were one of the famous ones.

They were so many clans of mystical creatures and spirits, though I couldn't believe human was now one of them and lived together.

Elder Wu was happy when I asked about this in my break time, asking me if I was interested in going to the capital and maybe work for the government.

The government here was the same as in my previous world, Elder Wu said Jade Emperor wasn't the King who took care of the empire's business.

I was confused, so we the system was the same as my old world but only we lived together with spirits; mystical beasts.

It wasn't gods but we called them guardians, the strongest, the rulers. Controlling territory but still respecting the government's rules created by the Jade Emperor directly, bring benefits for everyone.

Jade Emperor was like the last boss, all guardians listened to him. He was also the one who brought peace between us.

We human was the kings who worked for them and since they lived so long, they were considered to be gods; immortals.

So human was larger in number but weaker so instead of starting a war like millenniums ago, we asked for protection and work for those immortals who had stronger power of magic.

Based on history, the human was an outsider in here.

The world was originally owned by immortals but then our ancestor came and lived in here.

Typical of human, I thought as I listened.

No wonder why even though we lived together, there was still a transparent wall between human and other creatures.

Though there were some of the hybrid, child of human and spirit in the school.

"Seo Joon," elder Wu called my name, his white bread was making my hand itched to pull it down since there were only several inches before it reaches the ground.

"Yes, teacher?" I replied, closing my small notebook and putting my pencil inside it.

The old man gave a thin smile, making me remember the old man in my previous life of the strange book store.

My teacher shook his head, "don't forget to do the work from Miss Yue or you will get a heavy scolding from her," I grinned and nodded before leaving the classroom for my next class.

The school for a young kid like me was almost the same in the previous world, manner; singing; learning difficult words and history.

I learned so many things, gaping like a fish as words creeping to my head.

The more I listened the more I believed this was a fantasy world in the books I often read on my holiday as an actor.

Could you believe that the human who invaded this place ever tried to fight a great dragon and thought they could win?

Idiots.

Fortunately, there were intellectuals too that tried and succeeded to make a peace and finally, we could live in harmony.

To put it simply, immortals were nobles and royals in here, some human also considered to be them but not much.

I could guess the lucky human were love-child of immortals with the human.

A low spirit lived with humans, like one of my friend Yang Yang

I had my lunch together with Hwan and Yang Yang after school ended, it was exactly six days after I regained my memories.

My life was quite simple and aside from my ridiculous dream as an actor, I also thought becoming a healer like my father since my healing magic was good.

I also interested in herbs, medicine from plants or animal.

Right! Animals, they were the same as the other world but they had extra like unicorns.

Or even Pegasus, but they were rare and expensive.

There even old Pegasus who could take a human form, they only let human who had a contract with them to ride them in their horse's form.

"Yang Yang, what kind of spirit are you?" I asked my friend, blinked and hummed while thinking.

Luckily this kind of question didn't consider to be rude, to some people, like how you asked what your nationality was.

"I think my father is a fire spirit, but because our magic is a little dangerous my mother only let me lit a fire like this," Yang Yang pointed out his forefinger and lit a small fire like a lighter.

I smiled and clapped my hand, "cool!" Hwan added.

Yang Yang let out a shy laughed, munching his ham-sandwiches.

I leaned back and stared at the bright sky, "this world is extraordinary," I mumbled.

Hwan and Yang Yang ended up playing hide and seek while I used a typical excuse, saying my head hurt a little to make them leave me alone.

In here I didn't need to work my ass off to get money, we did need money but not urgent. More peaceful and calm, money from my father's medicine store was enough for us.

I closed my eyes and let out a tired yawn.

Yeah, I would live my life peacefully this time.

"The oracle," one of the servants bowed when the head priest waved his hand.

The white-haired man looked to the bright sky, "Is that so," he mumbled.

It had been one thousand years since the Jade Emperor sent an oracle to him, been hundreds of years since the famous guardians visit their place.

The priest shed a tear, "finally we get another chance to meet them again; our Lords, we're so lucky to have this chance in our generations."

It had been decided, nature had spoken to the Jade Emperor and the Great One sent the message from the to us all.

Years after the last wife of the Great Phoenix, finally nature decided to give the one of the high god a couple.

"We went to the border between Lord Byakko's territory and Lord Chaska's territory to pick up Lord Huo Hai's fiancé."
