Mikado doesn't take long to get ready. Throw on the wig, put on some girly clothes, wear jewellery and voila, the perfect girl is there however, this time, she had a dilemma. 'Should I show them what I really look like or my dollhouse face'?
As you know from the previous chapters, Mikado is not herself to other people, to the public and never has been. At home, she's not even completely herself, acting like the perfect girl for no reason.
Going to the Starbucks in front of King's Academy was a bad idea and she was kicking herself for not suggesting a more discreet place. Now, she'll need to look as fake as ever and she detested the very idea of it. But maybe, it's not such a bad idea. What if they really do want to kidnap her? Then, it's a good thing they don't know what she really looks like. Otherwise, they might call the press and that perfect delusion her family has created will be turned to ashes and she would need to pay the price for it. That idea didn't seem so appealing, so she decided to look like she always has in public, a plastic Barbie doll.
In the car ride to the Starbucks, she looked in the mirror and checked she looked absolutely perfect. Wig, check. Lipstick, check. Eye shadow, check. Blush, check. Jewellery, check. Dress form a designer store, check. High heels, check. Designer handbag, check. A little miss perfect is who she is and will be for the next few minutes, hours, days.
As the car started rolling to a stop, she started to panic, shake and tremble from anxiety. 'No screw ups. No mistakes. Just don't be me and everything will be fine.'she thought as she took in a deep breath to steady her racing heart. 'Everything is fine. They won't realise, won't be able to look past my disguise.'she thought one last time before stepping out of the car to possibly meet her end or a new beginning.
The Starbucks was slightly bigger than most, many tables and then also sofa window sets and even private booths. A Starbucks special made for the richer more well off people. Afterall, most of the people that go there are rich kids from King's Academy, the best high school in America.
With quivering hands, she pulled out her phone and typed in the group chat "I'm here". Not a second later, one of them replied, the username:La-Blanc Champagne.
"You'll see a guy that is waving crazily, that's where we'll be sitting". Mikado hesitantly looked up and what La-Balnc said was true. There was this boy with fluffy blonde hair, dyed orange at the tips with deep pools of ocean blue colour for eyes. However, he looked extremely childish, waving like a little kid and a big cheery smile in his face, 'wow. I guess that's Adrian due to the fact he's so...immature.'she thought as she walked diver to the table, her heels clicking loudly on the wooden floor.
As she walked over, she surveyed all of them in turn, scanning them like a machine as she judged them in their looks. First impressions count, a lot on what a person thinks about somebody else.
~Mikado's Point of View~
When I saw all three of them, I couldn't but think 'dang. They're all pretty good looking'. I'm a teenage girl with hormones just like other girls my age so it's not name thinking that.
The one waving at me is probably Adrian and the user La-Blanc Champagne. It wouldn't surprise me. He looks medium sized, even though he is sitting down but his eyes seem to hold deep secrets that aren't easily unlocked. He looks all smiles yet there is something about him that makes me shudder at thought of him being truly angry,
The one sitting next to the window is probably...Bennett, username:Snowboy. Not a surprise since his hair is literally stark white like fresh snow. I've only seen it a few times in my life but I love it. He looks pretty tall and lanky, not at all muscular and his face seems strangely pale. Probably an albino then but his eyes are this strange purple blue, periwinkle I think it's called. Im general though, it makes him look very mysterious and wise. Like the three-eyed raven from Game of Thrones.
I guess the one trying to subdue Adiran's maniacal waving is Noah, aka: elfboy. His eyes are this mesmerising green, like the leaves of a forest and his skin looks really smooth, like an elf. His build is quite muscular though he also looks quite tall, something that might make him look more...graceful? His ears seem slightly more pointy than a normal humans so maybe that's why?
All in all, those three have this jolly aura yet each and every one of them seems to make me shudder one way or another. They have this aura that implies 'don't make me angry'. They all have this mysterious vibe, like they're hiding something, something big.
~3rd person point of view~
People heard her and then immediately paused what they were doing, watching the scene unfold. Nobody wears high heels in Starbucks unless they are a business woman. Otherwise, nobody does. It's unnatural but this girl does and is wearing all sorts of expensive things. 'Mikado Shibuya.'the people hummed, their voices coming together and sounding like they were praying. Afterall, being the child of the one richest family means you're bound to be quite famous.
When she reached the table where the three were sitting, people then suddenly gasped and began whispering. "It's Bennett Nakamoto Genovese, Adrian La-Blanc, Noah Ronan Lynch and Mikado Shibuya"! 'Speculate all you want but you wouldn't be if you knew the real me.'all four of them thought, annoyed by the stares they were given. It's like they are some rare animals in a zoo that people ogle and stare at.
"How about we go somewhere more discreet."Mikado offered and all three agreed, standing up and walking out behind her, leaving behind a stunned 'audience'.
"I suddenly feel much better.'Noah said with a sigh as he relaxed when he entered Mikado's car. His body could be visibly seen becoming less tense. "Don't they have anything else to do instead of stare at us like we are animals?"wondered Adrian out loud, his words hanging heavy in the air. "Like it or not, we can't do anything about this. Afterall, we can't choose our families."stated Mikado sourly, signalling to the driver to go to a certain place on the map. "However, we can choose our friends."continued Bennet with a smirk that Adrian and Noah matched in turn, their eyes glowing wickedly however, Mikado remained quiet and stared out of the window.
'Can I trust them?'she wondered. 'Will they also break my trust, my heart? Or will they make my life better'?

A/N-it's a long one today, sorry! 😐
So this chapter I guess isn't so important. She meets them, they meet her and there's the ongoing theme of being fake. However, this chapter highlights other things that you might not have realised.
Earlier, I wrote something about them , the four of them, being ogled at like they are some rare animals in a zoo. It is true though. It's another annoying thing of being an idol or celebrity, if you want to go out like a normal person, you need to wear a disguise and stuff. Like, you need to hide your face or cover some part of it so people don't recognise them and suddenly yell 'Oh my God it's…."and then people start crowding around said idol/celebrity/famous person.
That's why, if you see a famous person, leave them be. Don't scream out their name or take a picture of them, let them do what they were doing.
Jimin from BTS was on holiday somewhere, I think in France. He was just walking down a street and somebody saw his face. Another person took a picture and posted it on social media. In the end, Jimin had to leave France I think or go to places 'undercover' because people were now looking for him for fan signs, interviews and selfies. I myself am a fan of BTS and many other Kpop groups but I would never do such a thing. Why? I respect people's privacy, the right to live a life outside of their job. "People don't live to work. People work to live"is a famous saying and one my father told me yesterday evening at 23:30.
I'm not sure but do you know the term sasaengs? It's a Korean word that almost every Kpop fan knows. It's a term used for the very extreme fans, like very extreme. They stalk the idols on social media, illegally book flight tickets next to the idols or something. Take pictures of them on the plane when they're sleeping. I know of this girl that took a picture of one of the BTS members when he exited the toilet. She even went inside the men's toilet and licked the toilet seat. Another sasaeng girl sent a pad filled with her...menstruation blood with a message written in blood to the idol Taecyeon from 2PM . Heechul is and idol from the Kpop group Super Junior. A girl hid in his bathroom and when he was in his toilets, she popped out and cried out Oppa. He also got in a car accident trying to get away from sasaengs and now, he stopped being an idol altogether because of the car accident. Trust me, these are true stories.
I'm not trying to discriminate against people that love their idols, or greatly admire them and stuff. Just, be respectful of your idol's, personal space and such. If they do a fan meet, ask for a selfie and a signature or something but don't stalk them online or on purposely go to the place they go to on holiday. Would you like it if you were said famous person and continuously on edge because of very extreme fans? I know I wouldn't.
So, before you do anything when you see a famous person, put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself, do I want to be noticed? Do I want people to crowd around me, stare at me like some rare specimen? They are all just humans just like you and me and they also have a life that they want to live as normally as possible. It's not nice to always be chased around, even though said famous person says fans are their inspiration, their motivation. Just think before you act in general.
See you soon!☺️☺️☺️😅
