John and Rexar scour the back alleys through the city until they reach the center tower. John pulses a wave of stars to see what was around until he finally finds what he was looking for. The Gemini stone at the top of the center tower. But the insignia was missing. He pulses again and finds it on the other side in the darker side of the city.
John: alright. Can you get those for me, Rex?
Rexar shakes his head.
John: let me guess you can touch others stones?
Rexar nods and sits as stars gather from him to John. John links his own with them and takes his cat like form. His ear and nails grow to a point and his tail returns in full size. John jumps on to a support pillar and begins climbing. At the top, he waits for the guards to pass and slips behind a few barrels then takes the chance to scale the other side. He hears a bunch of guard laughing to themselves.
John didn't have a choice but to take the time to listen as he waits for them to pass by. It sounded like they were causing trouble somewhere. Once they passed, he dashes across the yard and does his best to stay in the shadows.
John:*whisper* think you can give me a path to follow, Rex?
Rexar climbs to the top of what looks like a small mansion and follows the boarding that connects each building in a circle around the bell tower. This made John nervous just thinking of how the structure would hold under his weight, but knowing he would stay hidden in the shadows from preying eyes kept him composed. He follows Rexar's path around the boarding and over the rooftops to the other side.
John: *nervous whisper* okay. So how am I getting down?
Rexar shrugs and sits.
John: really? Guess that's what I get for asking for short cuts. Here I go.
John looks around to check his surroundings and drops into a tree, careful not to break a branch on his way across. Now he needs to figure out how to get to Gen without a problem.
He sees a path in the shadows leading to the other side of the tower. He remembered the map showing that direction led to the darker side of the city. An area overrun by gangs and criminals. Well, at least he'll blend in. He follows the path to until he heard a voice before the wall that blocked his path.
Arnwall: where are you going?
Arnwall stood before one of the house servants under a window directly headed to the dark side of the city.
Servant: General A-Arnwall, Sir!! I- I was just heading to the masters office! He... Urgh...
Arnwall: alright. Then be sure to go home soon after. Its too late for the servers to be out like this.
Servant: r-right. Thank you sir.
They go their separate paths. John looks to Arnwall and sees him go to a group of guards and follow them around the corner. He then looks to the servant who walks behind one of the support pillars and disappears. Curious John follows the servant through the window and sees he was heading to the shadow district. John follows him.
The servant continues deeper through the maze of worn down buildings and tattered streets under dim lanterns that barely lit the alleys he passed through. John was close behind him, careful not to be noticed. He chased after him until they make it to an opening lit only by the moon. The servant knocks on one of the storage buildings door. John climbs on to a stack of boxes by the window of the building and peeks inside.
Gen was inside the storage building caring for a sick person in underarmor. John tries to get a better look at what was going on. Gen sends one of the surrounding people to the door. They open it to let in the servant.
The servant sits by Gen and pulls a small pocket of medicine from under his shirt. Gen takes it and begins to apply the medicine. Once he was done, gen helps him get comfortable.
Gen: you won't die from this much but you should stay rested here for a while. You said you were Casper?
Casper: yes. Casper Hale. From...
White shirt1: a Camus royal!?
Casper: not anymore. I need to find someone and warn them that they are being hunted. The Phoenix princess, my cousin, is coming to kill him because he's... Not normal.
John: that I am not, obviously. So they sent Sicily to kill me? Jesus. How dangerous can I be?
Gen: and the guy you're looking for looks an awful lot like me?
Casper: exactly like you... The only difference I see is the way you dress. Probably.
Rexar jumps through the window and hops from one person to the other and stands in between Casper and Gen. All eyes were on the random cat in the middle of the room. Gen sees the leo mark on Rexars shoulder and rubs his mark on his neck.
Gen: what the...??
Casper: R-Rexar!! Where's John!? Did you warn him.
Rexar: mya~w.
Rexar takes the satchel gen took from John and leaves out the front door. Gen chases after him. John had left from the spot at the window and remained hidden behind the boxes.
Gen felt a twinge in his chest and stops chasing Rexar. Rexar stops before a collapsed building near the wall and waits. John runs to Rexar and takes the satchel, then pulls the leo stone from it. The mark on the stone glistens and Rexar grows to his lion form. Gen looks to them unable to believe what he was seeing.
