It's now morning. John sneaks through the waterways to the other side to get to Caya's inn while Mirage followed from above. As soon as they reach the other side, they notice a crowd gathered by the execution post in front of the main entrance to the center wall. A spear held a head on display with a sign posted underneath it.
A thief in his own right.
A guard that failed his duties and lost his rights.
Sir Michael Hensley has been found guilty of treason against the people and the treasury and thus beheaded on sight.
It was horrid. Gen saw this from atop the roof of the center tower. He jumps back down to the other side and vanishes in the fog. John goes into the hole and covers his mouth and tears heavily fall from his face.
Back at the inn later that afternoon Sicily cleaning off her armor in her room. She was wearing a simple gown and her hair was down today.
Outside John was in the tunnel talking to Maini and the others as they give him more information on the town. He's still a little down from earlier that morning.
On the other side, gen sets himself up for the run the servant boy gave him. He takes a deep breath and black smoke coats him. He cringes at the cold feeling. He releases it and the smoke fades away and him along with it. He heads to the tower and waits for the sun to hit the horizon.
Inside the tower at the far end, Zao speaks to the treasurer who servant boy, Basell, stands at her side as nervous as always. The conversation is done. And they all leave the room. The treasurer and Basell head to her chamber farther down. Other servants stand at the door waiting for them. They sneak peeks at him as if expecting something. He doesn't meet their gaze. He must stay composed. The others see this as a bad sign and the air grows heavy. Inside, the room the treasure opens her secret room and jesters Basell inside. Once inside she closes the door. Immediately after the door opens again and Basell runs for his life. The treasurer is throwing just about anything she can get her hands on as she flails in rage and panic. Basell tumbles out the front door and curls up against the opposite wall, scaring the other servants. As they back away from the room.
Treasurer: WHERE ARE THEY?!! WHERE ARE MY GEMS?! WHERE?! WHERE?! WHERE ARE THEY?!!!!
The others are shocked beyond belief. Basell is too terrified as he stays in the corner panicking. Mirage sits on a far off building. The echoes of her screaming was heard from the far end of the center as expected. Mirage holds the lingerie in the air as if it were a sick prize. The fact that the plan worked made him smile uncontrollably. He heads to the middle class side and finishes off the plan with the final touch. He remembers the head displayed from earlier and instead hangs it on the front wall on a flag pole.
