Later that afternoon, Caya sat in her inn behind the counter when she hears a sound upstairs. Sicily clatters down in her armor with her hair untied.
Caya: good afternoon, madam Hale. Your hair is quite lovely when its down.
Sicily: huh? Oh. Thank you. I'm not use to it being down often. I couldn't get anything out of anyone yesterday since most of them don't even exist anymore. Met a few nasty guards here and there, but it was okay. A little too quiet if you ask me, though.
Caya: I'm very sorry you feel that way, but I'm afraid that can't be helped.
Sicily: Yeah. One of the good guards, Arnwall I think? He told me the same thing. Saying most of the residents was getting shut down and kicked out of town because of taxes. Honestly, I got more out of him than any of the others left here.
Caya: I see.
Sicily: though, to tell you the truth, I find him to be the scariest so far.
Caya: (giggle) don't worry he may look like that, but he is actually a big softy when it comes to women especially.
Sicily: Pfft! No wonder he creeps me out. I'm not use to guys like him.
Caya: if I may, what kind of man would you like as your partner?
Sicily: Eh?! I've never been asked that before. So I'm not really sure. Why, do you have one?
Caya: I do, actually. He's very tall and manly. Though he's very strict about his work, he is very kind and thoughtful of others. If you'd like, you could meet him later. He'll be over later tonight.
Sicily: wow. Okay. I didn't really expect that.
Caya: and he is one of those guards like Arnwall, just so you know.
Sicily: uwah~.... How romantic!
Caya: (giggle)
Sicily and Caya continue to talk until late night.
Meanwhile
Arnwall and general Zao are walking the corridors of the central tower.
Arnwall: God, I told that fucker not to fuck up. And look what he does. Stealing from the town.
Zao: You didn't notice?
Arnwall: No. And shame on me for it. I only ever see him harassing some of the female guests at the shops and inns. Hm?
He sees Rexar looking around then run off to a building next to the wall.
Arnwall: What the...?
Zao: what's wrong?
Arnwall: That cat. You didn't see it?
Zao: cat? The only one I've ever seen here was at madam Caya's inn. It had an odd patch on its shoulder.
Arnwall: that! That's the one! It just went to that building just now!
Zao: Why are you hung up on a cat?
Arnwall: I met it's gaze once and it sent chills down my spine, like it saw something in my soul.
Zao: Don't go hallucinating on me, Arnwall.
Arnwall: .... But, general...!
Zao: go home. You probably need rest.
Arnwall: .... Yeah you're probably right. You have a good night, sir.
Zao: stay well.
