He had panicked and yanked her hard unintentionally, and the force of his pull had pushed her into him. He heard her sharp intake of breath as their bodies collided, his brain freezing again at the close contact.
But he had to speak this time. He knew he had to, and he swallowed hard as she regained her balance and raised her head to look him in the eyes.
"Let me go." She ground out through clenched teeth, her rage radiating off of her body like steam, but he wouldn't listen to her.
He couldn't let her go. Not this time, not again.
He brought a hand up to her face on impulse, still mute and ignoring the fact that her eyes were currently filled with venom and murder, and everything else that didn't bode well for him in the least bit, and she thrust a hand out to block him before his fingers could reach her face.
"Don't you fucking dare."
