"Y-y-you are h-h-here," I say, pointing at him. Tyler looks at me and smirks. "So, you're still alive." Suddenly my fear disappears into anger.
"Yeah, no thanks to you." I snap. With that, I run upstairs to my room. I immediately break down, tears streaming down my cheeks, hiccups coming from my mouth.
I stay like that for a while until I decide that I'm done with crying. I look around the, I mean my room, and see my bags in front of the bed. I open my bags and walk to the closet. I open the closet and look around confused.
How the heck is my clothes supposed to fill the whole closet? I only own a few shirts, jeans and shoes. I fold my shirts and jeans and put them in on the shelves.
I also throw my shoes on the floor. I don't own anything that needs hanging up, except one dress that I brought with my own allowance. I gently hang my dress up and watch it in admiration. I wore this dress on my cousin's wedding.
She is my favourite cousin, because she was the only one that actually accepted me for who I am. Riiing. I come out of the closet and see my phone ringing on my bed.
I pick it up to see my cousin ringing. I quickly pick it and put it to my ear. "Hello."
"Lily! How are you?" Renya asks.
"I'm good. You?"
"Same."
"How' your daughter?" The door slams open, "Rayla, I can explain." Paul looks at me, "Who are you talking too."
"My cousin." He narrows his eyes, "YOU ARE DOING WHAT!!!"
"Talking to my cousin?" I say confused. He suddenly snatches my phone from my hand. "Hey! Get me back my phone."
"No."
"Why?"
"Because you aren't allowed to communicate to your old family." He emphasises on the old.
"Why?"
"Because it's the law." With that he goes out of my room, taking my phone with him, shutting the door. I could still hear Reyna's voice shouting out of my room. I collapse on my bed and black out.

The moon is shining as I trudge with my parents in the parking lot to our car. Leaves rustle in the wind and I see a shadow walking through the trees.
I press closer to Papa, scared that something will jump out at me. A growl vibrates through the clearing. I whimper but when I look and see that Mama and Papa haven't even stopped like nothing happened.
I look in front of them and see our car a few feet in front of us. How long does it take to get to a car? Someone jumps in front of us. "Well, well ,well. What do we have here?" My father quickly steps in front of my mother.
"Who are you?" he asks dominance in his voice. "You don't what to know."
Suddenly I see a flash of silver and the last thing I hear is my mother's scream and my attracters' face memorised in my mind.
*************************************************************
I wake up in a sweat. This is the first time in one year that I had that nightmare. I look at the alarm clock beside my bed to see is one o'clock in the morning. Huh, I have spelt for more than 12 hours.
I look around the room and see that its all dark. Someone turned the lights off. I get off the bed and out of my bedroom. I quietly go across the hall and listen for any noises downstairs. I don't want to get shouted at again and jeopardise my stay here.
When I hear no sounds from the living room, I gently climb down the stairs, making sure not to make a sound. Creak! I immediately stop. Holding my breath, I wait for someone to come out of there rooms and start screaming their heads off.
I know I'm mental, but my old father was a light sleep and whenever I used to walk to loudly at night, he will come outside and start screaming at me. He did that to all of my siblings, even to my mother.
Stop thinking like that. This is your family now forget about the old family. I wait for two more minutes and quietly continue my journey again.
When I make it to the living room without waking anyone up, I do a little celebratory dance in my head. I gently walk towards the kitchen to get a glass of water I stop.
"Paul, it's not right." I walk to a door on my right where the voices are coming from and put my ear on the door. I shake my head. I shouldn't be listening to them. It their private matter.
"I know, Matilda, but what choice do we have. He chose her a reason."
Her? Are they talking about me? That's when I start listening. "But why her? She just arrived here and then we find out that Tyler almost killed her and now he wants to make her t-that devil?"
Ok. Now I know they are talking about me, but I don't get the devil part. "Look, Matilda, why don't we just go to sleep and have this talk with him in the morning, hum? What about that?"
She must have agreed, because I hear Paul and Matilda coming up the stairs. I quickly run up the stairs and into my bedroom trying to calm my pumping heart. I hear someone opening my door and quickly close my eyes.
When are gone, I take out the breath I didn't know I was keeping in. What did they mean they will have to make me a devil? And train me?
I should ask them in the morning. With those thoughts I let darkness consume me again.
