Heavy rain continued to pour down, lighting bolts were evident from the dark sky, the sound of the thunder roared through the now gloomy and lonely streets of Great Missenden. People must've took shelter already because of this heavy rain seeming like a storm waiting to blow but that wasn't the case for Amanda Clarke.
She proceeded to make her way around the place, trying to find a very specific house after apparating there. The wound on her left cheek and leg felt a bit more painful from the cold touch of the rain, but discarded that feeling along with the coldness she felt as she was drenched and focused to protecting her little ray of sunshine.
❛❛Mum..❜❜ Jennievieve Mae Clarke, mumbled through her slumber. Her child must've felt the cold wind or perhaps the water that it shivered for a moment.
Glancing at the sleeping child, Amanda couldn't help but feel more emotional as she bit her lower lip preventing her mouth from releasing any sorts of sound that might wake the seventeen month old child in her arms.
Hearing the sound of the doorbell, Amellea Leighton wondered who could possibly be at their doorstep at this kind of weather but went to open the door nonetheless.
Amellea gasped in surprise, seeing one of her closest friends standing outside drenched from the rain ❛❛Merlin's mushrooms, what—❜❜
The Ravenclaw mother couldn't finish her sentence when her Hufflepuff friend silently hushed her, as eyes then traveled down to whatever was wrapped in cloth in the arms of Amanda. It was a child, Amanda's to be exact.
❛❛Come inside then❜❜
❛❛No.❜❜
Amellea raised a curious yet also furious brow ❛❛What do you mean "no", Amanda? It's freezing cold out here! besides you seemed to be inju—❜❜
Interrupted again by the Hufflepuff ❛❛If I stay, you might get killed too❜❜ she cried
❛❛No..❜❜ Amellea gasped in realization. the prophecy must've started.
A descendant of Trelawney, who comes with the name Winnie was reported to be the one got the prophecy through her dreams; they said it was a dream that kept repeating rolling to Winnie's mind like a broken DVD player for two months, continuously. Although everyone seemed to be convinced back then that it was Trelawney who figured the prophecy out.
The prophecy announced almost eighty years ago was something about the child of Zues being born in late August and being entitled as the Olympian wizard or witch who will either lead another chaos or peace from the Gods and Goddesses after finally coming to the right age to start a new history.
❛❛Is everything alright—❜❜ Jonathan, the husband of Amellea came to sight but was shot a 'shush it' look by both of the shorter females
while the child in Jonathan's arms smiled seeing her beloved auntie ❛❛Auntie puff!❜❜ he smiled, yawning afterwards as the feeling of being tired finally came to him.
The Hufflepuff mother smiled bitterly ❛❛Please take Evie!❜❜ she pleaded, tears running down to her cheeks making her wince at the pain she felt the moment her tear came to her open wound.
Amellea looked at her best friend in disbelief but took the child nonetheless ❛❛Promise me you'll be alright❜❜ she told Amanda
❛❛What's going on?❜❜ the oblivious man asked, trying his best not to sound loud for the sleeping children.
Amanda sniffed and chuckled bitterly ❛❛I'm not really sure but okay.. could you promise me something too?❜❜
the couple looked at each other hesitantly but still answered her a questioning ❛❛sure?❜❜
❛❛Promise me, you'll take care of her and treat her like as if she's also your child. Promise me, you won't tell her and your son a word about me and her father, let her keep your last name and just let time pass by— let her be the one to find out about it❜❜
❛❛But—❜❜
❛❛Promise me.❜❜ Amanda interrupted which the couple gave in and nodded their heads ❛❛and when time finally comes, give her this, it will help her guide herself❜❜ she told the two as she handed Amellea her necklace.
The necklace that had a lighting bolt as it pendant. though the lighting bolt seemed a bit more up straight weird as streaks of electricity were seen if looked closer. Though it was something she made just for her child.
Sooner or later those people of whoever god or goddess sent them will be here to terminate her and her child. The must go now or things might end up way more worse
The thunder roared through place causing them to wince a little in surprise as she silently obliviated the kids without the couple's consent ❛❛I must go now❜❜ Amanda claimed before turning her back on them.
She couldn't stay any longer here, if she would, she'd probably be the reason of the death of her beloved dear friends who had been like a family to her just like her adopted family. She'd rather lose herself than them, they were more than just a treasure to her.
Tears streamed down to her cheeks along with the pouring rain as she finally disappeared from their doorstep.
Before the Ravenclaw mother could even protest or say a word about it, a sound came right after she looked up from the baby girl in her arms, indicating them that the Hufflepuff mother had already apparatted to somewhere far from here.
❛❛Please be safe❜❜ Amellea mumbled underneath her breath, finally giving in and letting her tears drop and sobbed.
