with the douchebag taken care of the group moved to another table to talk about their mission. Marv explained the mission as best he could. it was a magic request from a person out in the outskirts of the Consolia region. they were requesting for somebody to help them fight a group of ice elemental spirits that have been terrorizing a village quite recently. the request was from someone with a reward of forty silver coins. he chose this quest because Alyssa held absolute authority over the spirits of the five basic elements or at least that's how it should be.
Alyssa gave her nod of approval for the quest and asked a few questions at the information desk for better details. once she was happy with her information she returned to the group and asked whether they knew of any carriages leading to Paiman village. Masha said she knew of a place to rent carriages and they could take that to get to the village. they talked about a few things and once they were ready to leave the guild building, responsibilities had been handed out.
Masha was in charge of renting the carriage that could get them to Paiman village the safest. Marv was given ten silver coins to go and buy food to keep them at least for a week if something happened. Alyssa was in charge of...well nothing.
with things settled the group split up to prepare but when they split up Alyssa decided to follow Masha to see the carriages for herself.
with Marv alone, he asked around for a few directions to get to the city market. he was directed by a group of ladies carrying groceries and heading home. he soon found himself at the city market and stalls were set up everywhere. Marv walked down the street and looked at the stuff being sold.
there were a few people selling food and drinks and an occasional street performer was gathering crowds. Marv found a stall that had an old man sitting behind his food that was on display. there were cabbages, tomatoes and all sorts of ingredients. Marv was fairly confident in his cooking ability. the old man looked at Marv before filling out Marv's requests for specific ingredients. when settled the total bill came to four silver coins and ten copper coins.
Marv paid with five silver coins and was given ten copper coins in return. once settled the food was placed in two baskets by the side of the stall.
Marv had an idea and called for his inventory. it was still empty other than his 3d body wearing his armour in the corner of the screen.
Marv touched the baskets and thought of his inventory. but to his surprise instead of the baskets appearing in his inventory, the food was filling all his 100 slots of inventory. he handed the baskets back to the old man who widened his eyes in surprise when looking at the empty baskets. but before he could inquire Marv had left the area.
he left the city market with a smile on his face and headed to the hotel to wait for the other two.

I followed Masha is going to the horse carriage area. I kept glancing around at the buildings in wonder. these buildings were quite similar to the ones back at home but at a much smaller size...or maybe that was because I lived as a noble...
anyways following Masha we eventually got to the horse carriage area and there was the occasional yell here and there. the carriages were organized in lines with drivers sitting down at a separate building. The horses had a stable not too far. the carriages were all in different sizes with different types of styles. there were carriages for nobles and simpler carriages all in the same place. Masha headed to a building built in a separate area and I followed closely. we entered the building and immediately registered a carriage. I left all the negotiations to Masha and headed back outside the building. I walked over to a carriage not too far and inspected the interior out of curiosity.
there wasn't much to it other than seats and a curtain separating the driver and passengers. I stopped inspecting the carriage and decided to go back for Masha. she had finished the deal and was heading my way saying that she had booked a carriage to take us to Paiman village. I was satisfied with her report and we both headed back to the hotel.
however, on the way back I felt a presence was following us and I looked at Masha. it seemed she to may have sensed it and was acting cautiously by sticking closer to me. we continued walking down the route back to the hotel but took a right turn into an alleyway.
I pretended to be surprised and even cursed aloud to improve my performance. Masha feigned surprise as well and tried to calm me down. we turned around to see the exit out of the alleyway blocked by three women.
I knew them all as I had seen them before. they were three of the five women standing behind that douchebag back at the adventurers guild. their eyes were shining a crimson red radiance and they had different weapons.
"death to any who oppose lord, Ragnal..."
the lady who spoke had auburn hair tied in a bun with two strands of her hair were lose and hang till her shoulders.
she had a large chain wrapped around her right arm and was swinging the end constantly. the women behind her nodded slightly while they spread out completely blocking all routes of escape. but I had other ideas.
"really? why should I be killed though? is he not the idiot who flirted with me...I froze him but didn't bring him any form of pain but you guys are bringing unnecessary drama into this."
I was commanding the air element in the alley to quietly form a ball around Masha and me. they hadn't noticed and were still having expressionless faces. when the ball of air was formed I simply smiled at the three women and bid them goodbye.
perplexed by me saying goodbye the three women looked at each other and when they did so I commanded the ball of air to rise quickly. we were lifted off the ground and landed on one of the roofs of the buildings forming the alley. the second we landed Masha and I ran away quickly jumping over three alleys before a shuriken came from above us landing right before us on the edge of the fourth rooftop we were about to jump off.
this time two women landed before us at the same time with kunai in both their hands. they had the same crimson red eyes.
"escaping is equal to denying your deserved punishment. we shall kill you in the most painful way we can now."
