{oh no! where could they have gone?}
Masha ran through the city streets in wonder as she looked for Marv and Alyssa. she knew that Alyssa probably hadn't forgiven her since that incident. she was acting cautiously and trying to not overstep into Alyssa's boundaries. she deliberately said that she was going to the knight outpost to avoid offending Alyssa with her presence.
she was now running around asking different people if they had seen Marv and Alyssa. by a stroke of luck, she met a man saying he had seen a blonde woman in a white robe with a muscular man over at 'Mary's bed and breakfast.' she immediately thought it was them and got directions from the man to the inn. after turning several corners and streets she had reached the inn.
the smell of strong alcohol hung in the air and some drunk men stumbled out of the inn. when they saw Masha a smartass stepped forward with an obvious lustful glint in his eyes. he tried to casually start a conversation with Masha while slowly trying to wrap his hand around her waist.
unfortunately for said dumbass. a sword appeared out of thin air and swiftly cut the air above him. he stumbled back in shock and saw Masha holding a fencing sword in her hand. she looked down on him in obvious disgust and turned around to enter the inn. she wanted to leave this area as fast as possible.

I have never felt so satisfied before in my life nor have I ever slept this peacefully. I felt movement under me and immediately thought that maybe Marvin had woken up. I still wanted to continue sleeping so I cuddled closer to his chest. with my order settled, I wouldn't have to deal with this again...however, I just genuinely wanted to remain like this. I know I only met the man for less than a day I also know that we couldn't be considered friends in any way but rather teammates. but I just wanted to remain there for a bit longer. although it was my first time the pleasure I got was unforgettable.
"Alyssa?...umm do you mind getting off of me."
"no."
"umm...why not?"
"Because this is my property now and I'm not having you run away to some unknown place."
"really? well at least let me get up... I feel uncomfortable with your weight on my belly."
while with an obvious pout, I decided to let him get up with his back on the wall. but when he got comfortable I immediately sat on his laps and refused to budge. I placed my hands on his chest and formally thanked him for the wonderful feeling.
with a slight blush, he looked away. I then asked him the question that had been bothering me since I had a dream last night.
"What is the system?"
"What?..."
"I asked what is the system? last night after everything I had a dream where a green floating board appeared before me and asked me whether I'm willing to form a partner connection with you. I responded yes and it started displaying weird messages."
I looked at him curiously and saw his shocked face. I then asked him once more while smiling. he let out a sigh and responded to my demands.
"the system...is what I use to...well it's hard to explain what the system is used for exactly...but I generally use it to check out my stats or as people in this world would say...attributes."
he then asked me to think of the word status screen in my head and I did so. a green semi-transparent floating board appeared before me once again and I stared at it in wonder and read the words written on it.

I was in shock as I read the information before me.
{whats this?!?!...why is my name displayed and what are those numbers that are following...surely this 'system' couldn't be meaning that those numbers represent my attributes right.}
I curiously played around the screen and tapped the last option on the floating board.

oh! this is interesting... I inquired from Marvin and told him what my skills said. after hearing everything he explained to me what his system had done to him uptil this point in time. I understood what the system was now and also inquired if he knew why God made it at all. when he heard this I could see a burning fire rage in his eyes. he clearly wanted to know as well.
after we talked about the situation a bit we both decided to keep the system a secret until we found out what it really meant. i got up from his laps and stretched my body. I sat on the bed and realized for the first time...the room had a bed.
i avoided thinking about it too much and picked up my underwear and white robe. Marv picked up his clothes and wore them as well. Although it was the first time I had seen Marvin naked I realized how dissatisfied I felt when I saw him putting on his clothes.
I let him know that from henceforth he was my property...and if he dares stray from me I would hunt him for the rest of his life. looking at his face, he seemed to be amused by my threat and smiled saying he wouldn't stray from me if I don't stray from him. he took it as a joke, but I was clearly not joking.
