beauty is my talent. one can say that I was born a natural beauty and other pretty women were just making way for my appearance.
I had been born as an only child to my father. my mother was killed by the devils in a secret ambush when she was travelling to go meet a friend of hers. turns out her friend had become a fallen angel and had betrayed my mother...
since then father has taken care of me by himself and has never let me down. he taught me to be a proud woman and to never let myself surrender to beings lower than myself. on my seventeenth birthday in the light plane of existence strange incident happened.
I gained an ability that nobody in my family had heard of before.
-elemental order-
that's the name I gave my new ability. We were all surprised when we learnt about my ability. with it, I was able to control all five basic elements with equal affinity. something generally unheard of. it seems I was born with beauty and talent when coming into this world. I had thought of using my powers to help bring peace in all the planes of existences. a child's dream if you will.
then the war began. my family as servants of God decided to help the battle angel army fight against the devil swarm. we had given our all and managed to survive until this point. if anything our family gained newfound power and the blood of angels within us evolved further. something that was never calculated to be possible.
in short, my family had gone through a strong change and we had to abandon several customs none of which I'm under any obligation to share.
power...this is all that matters when it comes down to things. God has power, the devils have power and even the ancient families that had lived since the birth of this world had the power to survive. a war ensued because of the jealousy of another's power. none of us wanted this but what could we do? shout self-righteous slogans about how evil the powerful are?
such unrealism can't be shared within the different races. it's either wins or lose, death is just a gift package that comes on the side.
I was taught this and decided to take the initiative and get stronger. I intended to practise with my elemental order at first but I was suddenly called out by God.
he gave me a mission and with the support of my family I have come to the base plane of existence to fulfill that mission.
********
after the bright light subsided Alyssa Kerian stood next to Herald's seat with her arms by her sides. she had blonde long hair reaching her waist and light blue eyes. she had a physique of a grown woman. she wore a white robe that seemed to sweep the floor but wasn't dirty. her eyes looked to the man standing before and searched for anything unique about him. her efforts were wasted on the wrong person.
Marv stood staring directly at her with his different coloured eyes widened with a look of disdain on his face. his physique was muscular and he had short curly black hair.
his clothes were simple and nothing too unique to peak her interest.
{he will be the grand hero of our world?}
it was only natural for Alyssa to come to such thinking. after all Marv let off vibes belonging to that of a village farmer and nothing was impressive other than his muscular physique.
she tilted her head in curiosity as if that would probably fix what she was looking at.
nothing changed.
suddenly Marv's eyes regained their composure as he looked at Alyssa slightly tilting her head. Marv wondered what she was looking at him so intently for but decided to not ask.
"umm...hello. my name is Marvin Rheede. it's a pleasure to meet you family heir to the Kerian family."
Marv bowed with his head low similar to how he watched princes in movies bow to princesses. his actions didn't go unnoticed and Alyssa snapped back to her senses.
"oh um-yes! it's nice to meet you Mr Marvin Rheede. please don't call me by formal titles as we will be in the same party hence forth. just call me Alyssa and that will be fine."
her voice was polite and respectful as she also bowed. Marv was curious as to what she would be doing as a member of his party and thought of a novel he read where a princess joined the knights on their city rounds, getting herself kidnapped and putting the whole kingdom on the line. he didn't like such scenarios and wondered what he should do with her.
as he was thinking to himself Herald let out a cough to get their attention and slowly stood from his seat. with the book in his hand he climbed down from his seat and walked towards the door behind Marv. after passing Marv and reaching the door he turned around and told them something.
"ill leave this order dimension and it should remain intact for a remaining hour. you two can get familiar with each other as much as you please then. there will be no one to put pressure on your tone of speech Lady Alyssa and no one to criticize your behaviour towards Lady Alyssa Mr Marv. goodday."
with that Herald left the room and closed the door behind him. silence claimed the room for a few seconds before Alyssa initiated a topic of conversation.
"ok so I guess your probably thinking of me as nothing more than dead weight right?"
Marv felt a slight tinge of guilt as she had hit the nail right on the head however he gained his composure and looked her dead in the eyes.
"frankly speaking...yes I do. i have met several women in my lifetime and ill be straight with you I seriously don't want unnecessary drama rising within my party. you catch my drift?"
although Marv's tone of speech was rude Alyssa nodded her head in understanding, after all Marv was going to be the party leader and it wouldn't be right if he didn't make his thoughts clear to rest of the party. in all honesty the reason she even agreed to become part of his party was because it coincided with her mission.
she absolutely would not let this opportunity slip through her fingers.
"very well...if you wish how about a fight to prove my worth in magic?"
