Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

I straightened my uniform when I saw that we are near the school gate.

It's early in the morning yet many students are here already. It's because hell week is coming, if you're always late the week before the hell week then it will be your loss.

Teachers here in BIS are strict as our parents. They said that it is their main purpose for being hired here.

Their goal is to make us competent and independent. That's why even the distribution of notes is not on their list. You take notes on your own, if not, then console yourself in exam days. You would be lucky if you have some friends that could give you some.

This school is so cruel that you would be force to be not lazy in class. That's why students with family business are here because of the school's way of teaching. Parents want their children to do well in school in exchange of their children's leisure.

"Pacey!" Quuen is running towards me.

She became my friend since day one of our first year here in BIS. We are in the same course and she's friendly that's why we clicked.

I'm really a silent type of person, so what happened was, she approached me and talked to me endless. She's fun to be with—as the time passes I realized that. Every time I looked at her, I can feel that she's loved by her family—that's what makes her a well grown woman.

"You might lose your balance again. Stop running—," I couldn't finish my lecture because she definitely lost her balance.

Stupid! How many times did this happen? She only wears 2 inches shoes yet she can't handle it properly!

Thankfully a man catch her. She'd be the topic of the students for this morning if that happened.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as she said thank you to the man. I saw how she was embarrassed about it.

Even before I could say anything more, she already dragged me away from there.

"Aren't you hurt?" I asked again because she doesn't looked hurt and like it was not a big deal that she nearly throw herself unto the floor. She's busy getting away from the man.

"No! Embarrassment is what I'm feeling right now, P! Why did it have to be a handsome man?!"

I chuckles upon hearing her complaints, because that's her. She's so carefree that you wouldn't think that she values what people think of her. Most girls here are so concious of their physical look and movements but Quuen is just different.

She's tall, but I'm taller. Her skin is pale but so smooth like a newborn baby. She's got naturally brown hair just until her shoulders.

She's also beautiful, if you just take time to look at her. Her small face are complimenting her deep eyes. Looking at her, you can see an angelic face with her narrow nose and thin lips.

"It's not like it's your first time to lost your balance, wearing that 2 inches heels," I teased her more. She rolled her eyes at me.

"That was different from the other times!"

"What made it different? It was the usual, the man today was just handsome." I innocently said.

"Exactly!" She exaggeratedly said.

"Then why did you run?"

"I was just excited to see you! The hell week's coming and it's so stressful to think about it!" She complains.

Whatever!

As we are walking in the hallway, we can see the students showing off their riches just by looking at their branded outfits.

If you're new to this school you would thought that they're just spoiled people that know nothing about studying. But, mind you, even the spoiled riches here is doing their best to survive and pass each semesters. They are afraid of losing their fancy life.

And as for me, I didn't study hard to pleased my parents, well partly? I study so well to provide myself a good future. I have my dreams too, and one of those is to buy the things that I like with my own money.

Yes, we are one of those rich family, but a person's life isn't permanent. I have seen so many rich people who got bankrupt and now living with no money like they used to have.

That's why I thought, as long as we have the money then I would not be lazy in educating my self. I should make use of it to see a brighter future.

Sometimes, I thanked my parents for the pressures that they injected to us, because somehow it helps me being on track with my dreams.

We went straight to the bench where we always kill our time. We still have 1 hour before the class starts.

"I heard there's a transferee. A boy," Quuen said when we're seated already.

"And?"

"You know what? Can you just have a care? It's boys!" She irritatingly said.

Growing up, I didn't get to have a fair share of boys. I just can't feel something for anyone. That's why I always disappointed Quuen whenever we talk about boys.

"You know that we can't have all the boys out there right? Even if I find boys attractive, I also knew that we can only have the boy that's meant for us." I seriously told her.

"Okay, stop taking! I don't wanna hear some lessons from you today!" She rolled her eyes at me and get her notes to maybe review some lessons for todays class and the previous ones.

It became a part of our life as a student—to study before the class starts. Be prepared for unexpected events than earn zero points—is what our motto is.

Quuen would ask me something she didn't understand and I would explain it to her in easy way. That's what we only did until the time of our first subject came.

When we reach the room, we went straight to our desired seat which was in front. The room is crowded already since class will be starting 5 minutes from now.
