Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

I turned to my right side when Quuen poked me.

"What?"

She pointed the door using her mouth.

An unfamiliar man is standing there. His wearing the school's uniform. And..he's kinda taller than me. I'm 5'8 and I think he's 6 flat.

"Kein Castillo," she whispered.

"Handsome," I mumbled and prepare my notes when I saw our professor outside our room.

I saw in my peripheral vision that the transferee walked in and went straight to the last row.

"Told ya'," she chuckles.

"It won't change a fact that he wouldn't be yours." My attention is in front—where the professor is talking. She snorted and focus her self in listening to the professor.

Now that we are in 3rd year college, we have to deal with the discussions seriously. Each year, the subjects became harder. If you lose your focus then you'll prolly fail.

"Ms. Sangco," a sudden call from our professor got me out of my reverie for the last minute of his time.

"Sir." I formally answered.

"Can you lend Mr. Castillo all your notes for this quarter?"

My classmates made a disappointing sound when we heard the professor's concern. It's really unfair to think that a transferee get a chance to copy a notes from others—but since he's a transferee so I think it's understandable. It would be hard for him to catch-up if we would not cut him some slacks for now. He's a transferee so he's basically exempted.

"Okay, Sir." We said goodbye to him before he could get out of the room.

I gathered and put my things inside my bag and stand up to deal with the transferee.

He looked up when he saw me standing in front of him. His lazy eyes bore at me. He's undeniably handsome but his demeanor told me that he's cold and not approachable.

I hand him the flash drive that I got from my bag—it's my customized flash drive.

"I made a PDF of my notes. It's all in here—it's accessible."

"Thanks," he flatly said and took it from my hands. He's voice is kinda cold but warm. I don't know what's best to describe it but it's like that.

"Midterm next week, you should catch up." I reminded him and then left the room, never minding his 'I-don't-care' look.

I'm in the car and I'm going home but I still couldn't forget what happened inside the classroom. I keep on asking myself why did I bother to inform him of the midterm? It's not like I care for him! All I have to do is give him my notes but why did I reminded him of things that he already know? Maybe it's just my random caring side?

I realized that I'm already in the entrance of our house, mindlessly facing the door—when Dhaley took me out of my reverie.

"Are you in Mars already?"

My brows furrowed, trying to understand what he just said.

I rolled my eyes at him when I get what he meant and continue my walk inside the house.

"Yeah, I caged you there. Why are you here?" I lazily answered him. He followed me inside the living room and put his things on the sofa.

"And that's funny?" He said with a smirk on his face. He get himself a juice that was prepared here in the living room.

"It depends on how you perceived it." I saw that he's annoyed by what I said. That wasn't a big deal, why would he be annoyed? Such a baby.

"Call me when the dinner is ready." I instead told him as I ascended into the classy stairs.

"I'm not your maid, ate Pacey!" And just like that I am annoyed again by what he said. This brat!

"Dhale, your mouth! It's offensive!" I irritably said. He mouthed upon seeing me irritated by what he has done.

I don't really like it when he's being like this. I don't like people belittling the maids. It pisses me off. And he knew that thing about me already.

Maids are there to assist us in household chores but we should not take advantage of their purpose. We should learn to do the easy things ourselves and not always rely on them.

They are also human. They have their own feelings and life!

"Sorry.." he said in a lower voice. I don't really like to argue more so instead of nagging at him, I continued walking upstairs. I'm still irritated.

"Don't call me if it burden you." I coldly said.

A message from my phone shrouded my room. I took it out from my bag to see who is it. Quuen texted me.

"Are you okay? You seemed out of the earth after you talked with Castillo." That's what the text said.

"I'm okay, just a little bit of daydreaming." It wasn't really a big deal. I always overthink.

I throw my phone into my bed and instead of standing up to change my clothes—I chose to lay down the bed.

"Stop overthinking, please." She replied in the text. I turned off my phone and just close my eyes to take a nap. She really knows me.
