Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 16 : Life Flashes in front of your eyes like a Movie

The Tower was falling on you.

You close your eyes tight, ready for the pain and impact.

But...

All you heard was a familiar tune.

You open your eyes.

Confused, glancing around you realised, you were at your old dance studio, A young Hobi danced in front of you.

He went on until the music stopped, out of breath, he sat down on the floor. You clapped, cheering for him like you always did whenever he danced, and walked over, sitting next to him, completely ignoring the fact, you had gone back in time.

"That was really amazing, oppa!"

You exclaim, pulling a hand out to grab on his shoulder, but...

It goes through him.

Your eyes grow wide, frightened.

He stretches out of exaustment, sweating, before standing up and walking out of the room as if you weren't even there.

You quickly get up, wanting to follow him but a teen Jimin bursts into the room, dragging a baby Jungkook along with him.

"YAHHH! JUNGKOOK-AH! PLEASE ONE LAST TIME!"

"Hyung, I'm tired..."

"PLEASE! I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT PERFECT!"

"V hyung can do it..."

"HE WOULDN'T!"

Your mind recalls this. This was the time, before debut, Jimin was feeling insecure about his dance, afraid that he wouldn't match the others level, so he kept asking the members to either practice with him or watch him do it, to catch any mistakes. If you remembered correctly, after begging Jungkook, he came to you and pleaded, so you listened to him and you guys trained all night long.

Jimin pouts at the younger one not obeying him. None of the two noticed you standing there. Because.. Maybe you weren't...?

You walk out of the room and end up in a meeting room. The place where you first met the guys. They all were there with Bang PD nim having a conversation while you just stood there admiring the fact how much improved, this same meeting room, now was. All you heard was the word "debut" before you somehow ended up in your first music video location of your debut song "No More Dream".

Seeing all the members dressed like that, now, was weird but cute. You found it funny how you could just walk through them without them even glimpsing.

You trip, stumbling back, on a basketball on the floor, just like you did all those years ago and Jin and Yoongi made so much fun of you. Taking a deep breath in, you were glad, this time you were basically invisible.

You lift your head back up, frowing. Now you were on a stage. One of your first proper concerts, actually. The members danced on the song as the fans hyped them up. You remembered this day, years ago. When Jungkook and Taehyung cried on your shoulder, dumbfound by how many people actually came to see the performance.

You step back at the sudden bright light, blinding you. But then... Everything goes dark. A door creaks open and someone turns the light switch on. There, at the door were all the members, coming inside, what looked like, your old, very first apartment. They all looked exceptionally weary. Your eyes widen as they literally just took their shirts off, throwing them around.

But they would never do that. Not when you were thereโ€”

But you noticed one thing.

You weren't there.

You weren't anywhere in these memories.

These memories that once completed with you.

You were no where to be find in them.

As if, you weren't even part of the band.

As if, BTS only had 7 members, to begin with.

As if, you didn't even exist.

Your gaze shifts from side to side in search in for you as the youthful boys settle in the cramped room.

You run out of the small apartment and come out in an area, you recognized. The back of Jungkook's dance academy, where you once caught him getting beaten up. The reason? Because he was too perfect. Yet, he was still the shyest guy you would have ever met.

And just like you had thought back to it, there he was, on the ground, bruised. Those same guys kicking him on the ribs.

"S-STOP!"

You scream out, standing in front of him, in attempt to defend him, but it doesn't make any difference. For them, you weren't even there. You hear Jungkook choke, looking down to him, you saw blood, he was weakly coughing blood. You quickly kneel down reaching a hand out for him. But again, it just goes through while he groans in pain.

By now, you should've been there, chased the guys off and helped Jungkook up. But. Apparently, now you didn't even exist in their lives and was just an unreal, mere watcher.ย

"K-KOOKIE! OPEN YOUR EYES!"

You cry out, but obviously, he gave out no response, laying there helplessly.

You stand up, yelling for anyone's support. Still, everyone continues with their lives, your shrieks hitting them like air.

Your head turns back to him and the full environment changes. You were now standing in front of a road, on a street. Further away, you saw Yoongi walking towards your direction, on a call. He was close to crossing the road when you you saw a car in a distance.

Oh.. You remember this. This was a long time ago, when you and Yoongi were walking back to dorm and he was on call with Namjoon. You stopped only for a second, he didn't realise, so he continued crossing the road without you. You turned back to face him when he was on the middle of the road, distracted, there was a car driving, showing no signs of stopping where Yoongi was. You sprinted, pushing the older member out of the way, and just in time, the car raced past you. Later on, you discovered the driver was drunkโ€”

๐˜ฐ๐˜ฉ ๐˜ง*๐˜ค๐˜ฌ

"YOONGI!"

๏ผฃ๏ผฒ๏ผก๏ผณ๏ผจ

You fall on your knees, a hand covering your mouth, shaking.

Tears roll down your cheeks as your surroundings turn black.

"Guys... Do you think we'll be able to make it without Yoongi Hyung...?"

You hear the leader say from behind you. His voice sounded just as sore as it did after Taehyung's death. Just a lot more afraid... Which made sense, since he was a lot younger.

They all sat in a dim room, with each others comfort and ease. Only, there was no comfort and ease at all. How could there be? Yoongi wasn't there. Neither were you, to at least try and give them hope and solace.

You slowly got up, shivering, turning around, where you found Jin, who was still new into adulthood, alone, throwing things around in drunkness. The place was a big mess. He stops, kneeling down, holding onto his head, looking disheartened, frustrated.

"I'm not wired for this...ย  I'm not wired for this BTS... I'm not wired for this world..."

He mumbled.

"why didn't you take me with you, Yoongi-ssi...?"

You never thought about Jin having this type of thoughts. He always looked so.. Cheered up, happy, going around, showering joy on everyone. This was so much different from the Jin you know. What you didn't realize was that the Jin you know, was built by the impact of you being in his life.

You hear panting from behind to which you spin back. A worn out Jimin, laying on the floor, is the only thing you see. He looked so pale, his bones were popping out as if he hadn't eaten for days.

You step forward, but a grunt, catches your attention. You move your head your to your side where Namjoon sat on a chair and desk, seemingly, trying to come up with lyrics. He scribles on the paper, rips it off, scrunches it and throws it away.

It rolls away like a ball, stopping a few inches from touching someone's feet. You gape up, finding Hoseok, staring at himself in a mirror before looking away, as if, disappointed, sickened.

You hear light sobs. You follow the sound, wanting to find the source of it. There sat Jungkook, weeping in the corner, wiping his tears by himself. By now you were crying even worse than him. Because it was painful. It clenched your heart to see the people so dear to you, go through all this. You strolled to Jungkook, sitting next to him as he cried, by himself.

"Don't cry..."

You mutter, as if he could actually hear you.

Taehyung comes over, out of nowhere, and kneels down in front of Jungkook, before pulling him into a hug.

You couldn't help but stare at Tae, you had been missing these cute little features of his that he had before he grew up to have manly structure.

Leaning in closer, you placed a hand under your chin, your eyes filled with admiration for his adorable teen self. "Well, at least they have each other" you thought, sadly smiling before slowly getting up.

"Hyung- I- I don't even want to live- I can't do this"

"you know what...? Why not... Why not.. die together, then..?"

Your eyes grow wide as you glare at them in disbelief. What was this idiot teaching his younger brother?? They slowly start to fade away.

"nonoNoNoNO!!"

You glimpse around trying to stop this. This is not how it's meant to go. They can't just be defeated like this. You groan loud, holding your head, struggling to think. Nothing was reaching to your head.

Because that was it.

There was nothing you could do.

You didn't even exist.

"Do you think... We should consider disbanding...?"

Your hear Jin's voice echo.

"UGH NO!"

You yell out, crouching down.

"STOP THIS! GUYS GET IT TOGETHER! PLEASE!"

Tears uncontrollably twirl down your cheeks as you shake your head like a psycho.

"DON'T LOSE HOPE! please..."

You mumble the last bit, your voice cracking down. You sob, hugging your own knees.
