Chapter 3 - Chapter Three/Mr. Kim's Assistant

-=Taehyung=-

I mentally slap myself when my dick salutes the chick before me. Yes, the one from the morning. The fuck.

"Excuse you?!"

She shrieks.

"Are you deaf or what?"

I reply, whipping my head towards her.

"This isn't what I taught you Tae! I don't get paid enough for this!"

Hee accuses me.

I jerk my head towards her

"What is she doing here?! I never knew that we hired pests!"

"Pests?! You apparently are one. I wouldn't be surprised if you hire more of your kind."

The chick said with a smirk.

I was fuming with anger by now.

"Get her out! Now!"

I roared.

"I'll excuse myself Mrs. Chan. I probably have tons of places to be at rather than here."

She turns on her heels just to be interrupted by Hee. Dammit.

"Oh Lauren. Please stay. I assure you that this lad doesn't always act like a brat."

She turns to me.

"Manners Mr. Kim. She is your temp whether you like it or not. And now, if you don't mind...I'd like to show her around here. I hope that you get along well. Let's go, my dear."

She rushes...Lauren(?), out and slams the door.

Why me?

I slump in the chair, defeated.

-=LAUREN=-

Mrs. Chan is a lovely lady in contrast to my oh-so-dissapointing boss who is apparently an asshole. She is lively for her age much to my surprise. My working area seems to be just outside the Asshat's cabin.

It takes us an hour and a half to just take a tour through the office building. The people here are very friendly except a few hard shells.

Mrs. Chan tells me that the building is just only half of their work complex and has a more couple of floors for trainees to stay and practice.

I was all processed and polished by 12.45 PM.

"You'd need to report to Mr. Kim about our little tour and get started asap. Good luck sweetie, I have high hopes for you!"

Mrs. Hee buzzes.

I give her a small smile and hurry to my desk.

I'm equipped with my PC, a laptop and all essentials.

I get my personal belongings settled at the desk and make my way to my 'Boss's' cabin.

I lightly knock at the door and here a grunt from the other side. I take that as an affirmation.

"Mrs. Chan made me familiar with the work area. I'd need you to brief me about my work when you're free. When will we start."

He looked at me with irritation in his eyes.

I had my pokerface pulled on and refused to be looked down upon just because he was my boss.

Cheers to that Lauren.

"Hasn't Hee told you bout that?"

Well of course not. Why do you think would I be asking you about it? Lame.

"I'm afraid, not Mr. Kim."

He raised his left eyebrow.

"You'll have to check in slightly before 8.00 am. You are supposed to fix and maintain my schedule, manage my emails. Forward me those that are important and personal and reply to those that you can. Isn't it what an assistant does?"

I was just going to interject when he started speaking again. So I let him.

"You can leave at 7.30 in the evening but you would have to stay if needed. And you have to arrange my meals, guests, meetings and transportation however I mostly prefer using my own car."

I looked at him, clearly annoyed.

"Pardon me Mr. Kim but the prospectus clearly says that I could be off by 7.30 pm. Nothing's excused."

"You are my assistant and you are being paid to get my schedule in order. To your slight dismay that's what you are supposed to do irrespective of what the lame book says."

I give him a smartass smirk.

"You must be mistaken Mr. Kim but I am paid for working from 8.00 to 7.30 and not otherwise. I have a child to take care of course. I hope that I have made myself clear. Now, if you don't mind...I would busy myself with work."

Without waiting for his reply I was on my heels.

I closed the door behind me, making myself comfortable at the desk and started browsing through his emails.

Being the CEO wasn't a child's play and it wasn't suprising that his mail box was flooded with emails.

I started by organizing them alphabetically and tossing the ones out that were spam. I forwarded him his personal emails and those that were important.

I then continued to arrange his tasks accordingly. And I swear that he's a busybody.

I was now working as Mr. Kim Taehyung's personal secretary.
