I was gaping at him, my mouth opened and closed, my brain searched for something to say. I finally nodded,
"I-I would love to." I managed to whisper out. He had this warm smile on his face when I spoke. For some reason this man made me feel safe, I was comfortable with him. I took a step forward on shaky legs, I don't remember when I had last been out of this room other than to shower. I stepped out of the door and immediately cringed back in, the light hurt my eyes. The man halted noticing me hesitantly stepping back into the light. We continued walking, up stairs, down a long hallway. I froze when we entered a large room, standing in the middle was Alpha O'Brien and the male from before. My legs began to tremble, fear racing back into my bones. This was a joke, a sick, horrible joke. Tears filled my eyes, threatening to fall. I took a step back and pressed against the wall, my breathing grew ragged and my vision blurred. I slid down the wall and curled into a ball. I felt a strong hand wrap around me, I failed my arms panic begging to raise it's head.
"Shhh, it's okay Eliza. It's just me, Jhon." Whispered the man from before. He lifted me bridal style as I calmed, I tensed as we walked past Alpha O'Brien. I heard him snicker,
"Once a w***e always a w***e." He said, I heard a loud growl as a vibration rumbled from Jhon. We continued out the door, I buried my face into Jhon's neck due to the light.
~ Three Hours Later {Head Alpha's Home} ~
I stepped out of the car, my arms crossed around my body in a form of protection. The large doors of the mansion opened and a woman came running out, she flung her arms around Jhon and started kissing him. I cringed away and looked at my feet feeling awkward about their interaction.
"I missed you! You've been gone for Seven hours!" She said once Jhon broke the kiss, he smiled and kissed her hair,
"I know, I gave a surprise visit to O'Brien." He said into her hair. She pulled away and looked up at him with wide eyes, "It was horrible there, pack houses were shabby, all the money he earned went to his house. I also found Eliza." He said gesturing back to me. The woman's eyes landed upon me, I froze and hugged myself tighter. She smiled warmly and walked over to me, she reached out and I flinched away.
"Oh, Jhon. What happened to her?" She asked worriedly once she noticed my discomfort at her closeness. She reached out again, I took a step back, I didn't like being touched.
"Amy, Eliza's had a very...tough ten years." Jhon said. The woman, Amy, looked back at me with sad eyes.
"Hey sweetie." She said quietly, "Would you like me to show you to your room?"
"I bit my lip, my gaze flickered over to Jhon, he was nodding with a warm smile. I looked back at Amy and nodded. Sucking my bottom lip into my mouth as I tentatively followed Amy into the large house. Tears blurred my eyes as I noticed others watching us, some glared while others just watched. I slouched and pulled my shoulders closer to my core, making myself as small as possible. One female stepped into my path, her nostrils flared as she stared at me.
"What are you doing here, Rogue?" She spat, I whimpered and pulled back tears slipped from my eyes as I looked at the blonde haired blue eyed girl. "Well? Does the little rogue b***h not speak? Huh?" She taunted, I stepped backward and sniffled.
"Blaire, leave Eliza alone." Amy snapped. The girl, Blaire, snarled then walked away with a flick of her hair. I whipped the tears from my face and stuck close to Amy's side as she continued to walk.
We soon arrived at a large room on the top floor, it had a cream colored carpet, a large bed with white sheets. The room was completed with various dressers, a large walk in closet, and a large bathroom. Tears filled my eyes, not sad, or angry, or fearful tears. Happy tears, joyful tears.
"Awe" Amy said and opened her arms to hug me. I flinched at the movement but smiled at the elder woman. "Well, I guess I'll leave you to it. We'll have some clothes for you in the morning, as of tonight you can borrow." She said with a wide smile. I nodded and sucked my bottom lip back into my mouth as she left the room. I looked around the room before deciding to shower. I tentatively walked into the bathroom and looked around, slipping off Jhon's jacket I walked to the large shower. I messed with the knobs and I couldn't seem to make it work properly. I felt tears stream down my cheeks, I was being a baby, or dramatic, or both. It's crazy how one little thing could bring forth all the emotions of your past. The pain, the fear, the anxiety all came rushing back. I muffled my sobs with the cold water hitting the tiles. I started shivering after a while, I was still sitting underneath the gentle stream of too cold water. Tears had stopped coming about an hour ago, but I was still trembling.
When I finally got out of the shower, I looked at the clothes that were left on the bed. I hadn't worn clothes in forever, they made me feel constricted and uncomfortable so I decided not to. It was 1:34 in the morning. I was exhausted, I grabbed the four pillows and laid them in the corner. Then grabbing a blanket I curled up and slept my first full night of sleep since I was fourteen.
