He grinned up at me from his point still pinned on the floor, Noah shifted to his human form. He was standing tall and proud in all his naked glory, I looked away feeling embarrassed. Noah kept his eyes locked on the man while he bent down and whispered in my ear for me to shift. I looked up at him with big, pleading, eyes. He sighed but still gestured for me to shift, I whimpered but did as I was told. I used Noah's body as a shield, hiding myself from prying eyes.
"Oh Marie, Maire, Marie. It's been too long, my beautiful mate. Why don't you come here, away from that man?" Said the crazed male, "Marie? Please! Come to me, come to your Steven! Marie!" He started shouting, interrupting himself with crazed laughs. "Marie? M-marie?" He said his lip began to tremble, when he looked at me again his eyes sparked with intelligence. "You're not Marie! Y-You killed her! Just for tricking me I will make sure that not another male will ever want you!" He screamed, spittle flying every which way. "You will never have a mate! You selfish, lying, b***h!" He screamed only being held upright by Noah now. "Even if you get away now, I will find you. I will. Mark my words girl, no one will ever want you, ever." He growled out. I whimpered and took a step back, "It was nice. Being with you in that room." He whispered, a sick look on his face. "Can't wait to do it again."
"Stop it" I whispered,
"I'll make you feel every bit of me." He hissed out
"Be quiet" I said again, tears coming to my silver grey eyes.
"You'll be in so much bliss you won't even notice when I start cutting you."
"Shut up" I shouted, tears running down my face.
"It'll be so much fun, watching you scream in pleasu-" He didn't get to finish due to the fact that Noah just completely punched him in the face. I sniffled and looked up at him through tear filled eyes. I gave him a small broken smile as he cupped my face with his calloused hand, wiping my tears away with his thumb.
We didn't have to wait long before two men showed up to take Steven away, he fought but didn't say a word. His eyes never left mine except to travel down my body. I flinched when he licked his lips and shielded myself with Noah.
"Alright guys. Thanks for getting him. Were gonna stay out here for a couple more days." Noah said to the older males who pulled Steven away. He turned to me and smiled running a hand through his unruly hair.
"Lovely first day, am I right?" He asked with a laugh, I grinned and rolled my eyes elbowing him gently in the side.
"What's your story with him?" He asked me quietly, I looked down at the floor and cleared my throat.
"He visited me for the first time when I was F-Fifteen. He was c-convinced that I was his mate, M-Maria. He told me how much he loved me, and how he m-missed me. H-He said he thought I was dead, t-that I had l-left him. T-the first time he realized I w-wasn't Maria he beat me. H-He wouldn't stop coming back, convinced that I was h-her." I sobbed, my voice cracking. "He never left m-me alone, h-he quickly became obsessed with me. He was always so, so rough...with me." I said quietly as I wiped tears from my face. "When Jhon got me I assumed it was over. B-but he followed me." I paused, "He thinks he loves me Noah, w-wh-why can't he just leave me alone?" I said as more tears flowed down my face.
"Hey, hey. Look at me." Noah whispered tilting my face with his index finger, "He can't get you now. None of them can. I will protect you, our pack will protect you, Eliza" He breathed.
"Our?" I asked, our eyes locked.
"Our." He said, Noah leaned forward. My eyes fluttered closed and I slowly moved forwards, our lips met in a gentle kiss. My arms wrapped around his neck and my fingers tangled themselves in his hair. I could feel his large palms at my waist, our lips gently moved against each other. Testing, tasting, feeling.
He pulled away first and leaned his forehead against my own, our breaths mingled together. "Eliza-" He said playing with a strand of my gently curled hair, "I-I think I-" He took a deep breath and continued. "I think-" He was cut off by someone jogging into the clearing, Noah pulled away and cleared his throat. "Carter." He said.
"Noah." They glared each other down, neither of them moving an inch.
