I had showered and changed after the ordeal with Blake. I stood staring at the bed in my night clothes consisting of short cotton shorts and a long baggy t-shirt. The incident with Blake had drug up horrible memories, memories that made it hard to sleep in a bed. I creaked open the door and padded down the hall, coming to a stop in front of another identical door. I lifted my closed fist and knocked.
"Urrgh, come in." Came a sleep logged voice from inside, I opened the door and peaked my head in. "Everything okay, Liza?" He asked. I nodded and bit my lip walking inside,
"C-can I s-stay with you?" I asked quietly, messing with the edge of my shirt. He smiled and patted the space next to him. I quickly walked over and crawled in with him. He rolled over and we laid there back to back for a while. He finally signed and rolled over, wrapping an arm around my waist he pulled me closer. He pressed his face into my neck and took a deep breath in.
"Good night, Eliza." He whispered in my ear.
"Good night...Noah."
I woke slowly to a tickle in my ear, freezing once I realized someone was whispering.
"You know, Eliza. On more than one occasion I was going to ask you to be my mate. I think I love you. You're just so perfect. Beautiful, kind, charming, adorably shy but brave and strong. You don't give up. Even though strangers see a broken girl, you prove them wrong. You prove to them that broken can be fixed." He whispered, I could feel a smile on his face as he continued. "You're so perfect. You're so you, and I love that about you. I love the way you smile, the way you look when you're tired. I love the feeling of waking up with you. I love the way you make me feel, I love the way you make me, me. I love you. Every little part of you. Every little perfect imperfection. So Eliza," He said with a pause, I felt tears on my shoulder as they slid down his face. "Eliza, I when the time is right. I will tell you how I feel, and I will hope with all my heart, soul, and mind that you will answer yes." He whispered, kissing my neck. I smiled softly. "I know you're asleep right now, but I just wanted you to know. I love you, and I always will." My lip began to tremble at his words as happy tears ran down my face. It felt good to be loved, to know you're loved. I shifted slightly and I felt him smile as his grip on my waist tightened. He curled closer to me, trapping my body inside a wall of his own.
"I guess I'm, sorta, kinda asking you to be my mate. Even though you have no idea yet." He whispered. Just then, a horrid beeping went off, Noah groaned and pulled away. I felt the mattress rise a bit as he stood.
Noah showered and changed before giving me a kiss on my forehead and leaving. I smiled and nibbled on my bottom lip, deciding to sleep a bit more before going down to breakfast.
I slowly woke, blinking multiple times before my eyes landed on the clock on the wall. '9:42 AM' It read in neon green letters. With a sigh I stood, pulling my hair up into a loose messy bun. I chose to stay in the clothes I slept in, short elastic shorts, a long baggy T-shirt, with long socks. I yawned and padded silently down the hall to the kitchen where I could smell bacon and pancakes being cooked. I sat at the island on a tall black stool, my legs kicking back and forth. I propped my head on one hand the other laid across the table. A small smile was plastered on my face.
When I looked at the stove a chiseled back greeted my grey eyes. Someone had decided to come and cook breakfast in only basketball shorts. Light brown hair accompanied the tanned skin, along with dark emerald green eyes. Carter smirked at me when he glanced in my direction.
"What?" I asked tilting my head even more,
"Nothin, just...you look really pretty like that." He said softly. I lifted a brow,
"Thanks." I said back quietly. My cheeks flushed when I thought about what Noah said this morning, Carter's comment had me thinking about it.
When he turned there were two plates; One had two pancakes with three pieces of bacon, the other had one pancake with two pieces of bacon. I eyed them as he walked over. Carter set the plate that had less on it in front of me before sitting down. I looked at his, then at mine, then at his again.
"What?" He asked, I sent him a glare and snatched a strip of bacon, shoving it in my mouth in the process. He looked at me horrified, like I had just killed his puppy. "Hey, wait a minute!" He said loudly as he grabbed a piece of mine.
"Oh you better put that down." I growled and stood glaring daggers at him. Carter smirked and opened his mouth slowly moving MY piece of bacon towards his filthy lips. I snatched it from him and ran.
He chased me through the house and out the front door. I screamed in delight when I felt a gentle tug on my shirt, causing me to push my legs faster. He grabbed my waist and tackled me to the ground. I shoved the bacon in my mouth before he could pin me down and take it.
"H-Hey! That's not fair!" Carter whined, I laughed after swallowing. "Guess I'll just have to take it back." He whispered leaning in, my eyes widened in surprise. Carter's lips met mine. It felt wrong after what I heard Noah say this morning. But it felt right kissing him, it also felt right kissing Noah. 'Oh God. What's wrong with me?!' mentaly screamed. He pulled away and sheepishly smiled rubbing the back of his neck. My cheeks were flaming so fiercely it practically hurt.
"U-uhm." I studered. My eyes widened as I looked around, we had an audience. Amy, Blaire, Blake, others I didn't know. I shrunk back, my cheeks turning redder if possible. Amy jumped up and down clapping her hands together.
"O-OH! Carter! Is Eliza going to be your Luna?!" Amy practically yelled, I opened my mouth then closed it.
"Mom, calm down. It was just a kiss." He said as we stood.
"Oh that was more than JUST a kiss." Amy said again walking forwards,
"So what did she say?! Did-"
"Mo-"
"She say yes?! OMG DO I HAVE A-"
"Mom-"
"DAUGHTER-IN-LAW?!"
"MOM!" He yelled, causing Amy to stop her chattering. "I didn't ask her." He said running a hand through his already messy hair.
"Oh" Amy said looking down. She grinned and leaned up whispering. I had no idea what they were talking about, but they kept glancing at me.
