Chapter 1 - How It Begins

Between light and night. Between the future and the past.

Everyone had been waiting for the return of the Blood Moon they had heard from the predictions of the Great Wizards of the Southern Mountain. They are eager to wait this event which may only happen once every ten thousand years. However, they did not know the day they had been waiting would be a disaster for their prosperous land.

On the eve of the festival when the Blood Moon was at its peak, a baby girl was born. She would later called as the Prodigy. Her powerful presence made the balance of the ecosystem collapsed.

Her enormous power destroyed the seals that dampen the dark forces that have been fast asleep and chained in the heart of the land. Her birth brought joy to the darkness and disaster to the light force.

That same night, everyone lost most of their possessions without knowing what kind of power had just destroyed their lives. All the living glared towards the Southern Wizards who are considered a failure by failing to read the prophecies properly. It is not the night of rejoice and prosperity like what they have said. It is the night of suffer and grieve to be recalled by the living in that land as the darkness went alive and rejoice as the freedom were granted for them.

All the dark force and damned spirits floated across the skies of the land, flying out of their hiding within the ground. Together they cursed the sky so that it could no longer be bright. There were no boundaries between day and night. There were only night and grey skies to look upon.

They then proceeded to curse the ground so that it could no longer grow greeneries. Flowers withered and the the trees shed every last bid of its' leaves. The land died within minutes of the rebirth of the dark age of the land.

When things were getting even more chaotic, of all the freed spirits there came the two figures who are most hated by the Mountain Wizards. Two sisters who betrayed the Light Vow that always been a protection for the land. Lo and Ve. They crawled out of the ground with a million fear of the world which were buried with them.

"Did we sleep too long?" Lo asked as she felt her body flowed with the power she had longed for so long. "I think they've forgotten us, sister." Ve said, fixing the black crown on her head. Lo smiled at the horrified faces of the Mountain Wizards, "let us remind you all again. Of how wicked The Sisters age was." Lo said as her laughs echoed throughout all the darken skies.

The world were once again hit by the dark age and all power under the influence of Light Vow was extinguished. Seeing this, the Wizards of the Mountain were struck with a sense of disappointment upon themselves. And that's because they could not predict the arrival of two prophecies at once.

They did not dare to appear at the emergency gathering with the royal families, hiding behind the reason to find the cause of their failure. The meeting they did not attend were commenced to discussed about the arrival of the darkness. With all the little evidence gathered they quick to realize that all of these catastrophes happened as for the arrival of the Prodigy withing the land among the livings. They did not know who she was and where she was at the time. They only knew that the child was born at the Blood Moon Festival and her overflowing power destroyed the seal they created to curb the dark forces from ancient time.

Everyone seem to be clueless. Except the woman who owns the sophisticated academy. She kept everything of her completely quiet as she listens to all the chaos in the room.

On the night of the chaos, she opened her door to a baby who fast asleep in her basket. She was placed on the ground by someone. The woman looked for the existence of other creatures besides the baby child. However she tried to squint her eye searching through the night, she found nothing other than a baby on her porch.

Inside the child's blanket there were a piece of paper that reads,

"The Prodigy. This child is the one you all would search for." She reads as her heart shattered to the ground.

The woman read the piece of paper repeatedly while wrinkling her forehead. Inside the girl's blanket was slipped a glowing blue crystal. The woman did not believe in the contents of the piece of paper until she finally attended this meeting with the royal families. That meeting happened two days after the presence of the child referred to as the Prodigy.

She decided to made the girl's presence a secret among the aristocracy. She knew the child's fate would be bleak if she decided to blabber about her founding in that meeting. She know that this child is meant to be here, even if she had to create a catastrophic event on her birth day.

She then adopted and educated the child that she later called Miya as if she was a student of her own.

This Miya girl then grew up in the academy and became the best student in her school. Bringing in all her talent from having her faith as a literal prodigy. However, she never set foot into the world outside the academy gate and focused her eyes on becoming a Light Soldier when she turn seventeen, as how the lady, the one who adopted her wanted.

But nothing sits right for Miya until she understand who she is. One unfaithful night, the woman whom Miya thought was her mother admitted that Miya was not her child at all as she only found her in front of the gate.

The lady never told Miya that she was a prodigy that everyone's been searching for. But the woman was sure she had really prepared Miya if those days of awakening had Miya on the brink of her moment.
