The sun was rising, soon I'd be working on the house. But something was keeping me awake. I couldn't sleep. I was standing in the small empty area in the forest. The sound of birds chirping surrounded me. The sun gave the trees a warm orange glow. The scent of wet tree trunks filled my nose. I closed my eyes and held my hands out. I had to try using my powers again. Even though it may bring me nightmares, I needed to understand them. I channeled my frustration, this time thinking about how everyone is scared of me. It wasn't fair. Nobody knows who I am and yet they look at me as if I'm a monster. I opened my eyes. A red-like mist danced around my hands. But it wasn't enough, I wanted to do more. I let my anger grow, so did the mist. It began to take shape, slowly it grew outward. Suddenly I was holding a dark red sword, the exact replica from my nightmare. I gripped the handle tightly. I could feel a mixture of anger and power surging through me. I took a deep breath and pointed the sword forward. I swung the sword up then down, I swung the sword with ease. The sword danced in my hands, I swung it around for a while. I stepped towards a tree, I slashed the sword down from the side. The blade went straight through the bark. The tree groaned and cracked as it fell to the side. I watched in astonishment as it fell and hit other trees. It landed on the ground with a large crash. "Jacob!" I turned around, standing there was my father, Addy, and the General. They looked at me, then at the sword. "How did you?" Addy asked while pointing at the sword. I looked down at it. "I did what you taught me, channeled my rage." The General manifested his shield. "Put it away kid." He ordered. I pointed my sword at him. "Stop calling me kid." I glared at him. Addy began slowly approaching me. "Jacob, this isn't you." I laughed. "You just met me, how would you know who I am?" The General got in front of Addy. "Stay back, I got this." He firmly stood his ground. "You really wanna start this fight?" I swung the sword in my hand and grinned. "More than anything." He ran towards me. I swung the sword, it landed on the Generals shield. Green and red sparks flew. "That's it?" I taunted. I used my power and pushed the General back. He stumbled, I took my chance and ran towards his exposed side. I swung my sword, the tip scratched the Generals cheek. He jumped back and brought a hand to the cut. "You know I'm good with a sword, a shield can't do me any harm." I laughed, my voice wasn't my own anymore. "But this will." Addy said. I turned my head, a bright ball of white light hit me in the chest and shot me back. My back hit a tree, I fell to the ground hard and fast. It hurt to breath, I groaned. I could hear them run over to me. "What'd you do?!" I could hear my dad yell. "He wasn't himself, I had to do something before he went to far." Addy responded. I tried to push myself off the ground, but my arms gave out. Suddenly my shirt was yanked and I was forced to my feet. The General held onto my arm roughly. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" He yelled at me. I shook my head. "Somethings, not right." I wheezed out. I looked at Addy. "Somethings going to happen." I tried taking a step, but my legs felt numb. My father held me up by my other arm. "He needs healing immediately." The General and my dad both helped me into town. Addy ran ahead to get everyone else. I was lead to a small hospital, the General got me a room and helped me to it. I had just laid down on the bed in the room when my mom and Gram burst through the door. "What happened?!" They both asked. "He was using his powers, then attacked me. "The General said. Addy scoffed. "No he didn't. You provoked him, he was using his powers and then it got out of hand." Addy said. Gram placed her hand on my forehead. "How'd he get hurt?" She asked. "I used my powers to shoot him back. If I hadn't he might've hurt someone worse." Addy confessed. "I hate that you had to do that. But seeing as he was able to get a hit on the General, there was no other option." I groaned. "Hold on Jacob, we're getting someone to help you." After a few minutes a healer entered the room. "What seems to be the issue?" She asked. "His back, it needs healing." I was put on my side, she lifted the back of my shirt and placed her hand softly on my back. I could feel the power coming from her hand and in a matter of minutes I was fine. I slowly sat up and rubbed my shoulders. "That was a lot of damage, what happened?" The healing lady asked. Addy explained everything, the woman's face was pale. "Please stay right here, I'll be right back." She walked out of the room. Everyone stood impatiently waiting. Gram sat next to me rubbing circles on my back. Suddenly the man who had told me my power burst into the room. He made eye contact with me and scowled at me. "He needs to leave, now!"
