It had been a while since Lexie had left the house and so far Roxie was on her laptop in the guest bedroom looking at her e-mails. Since Roxie had arrived in the UK; she had very little time to spend some free time on her laptop. So Roxie thought it was a good idea to look at her e-mails and check up on her social media accounts. All of a sudden, the Face Chat icon came on her computer screen. Roxie clicked on the icon and Cassie's face appeared on the screen.
"Is this thing on? Roxie are you there?" Cassie asked.
"Hi Cassie; I'm here." Roxie smiled.
"Yay, finally; I've been trying to figure out this whole thing. Anyway, how is the UK? Is it everything you've always pictured it would be?"
"Cassie; this trip is that and so much more. I'm in love with the city, it's vibe, culture; basically just everything about it is amazing. I wish you were here though, I know you would love it here too." Roxie replied.
"Ugh, don't remind me. I miss you too much as it is already! Luckily for me Garrett has decided to stay with me until you return. Kyle stops by to check up on me every now and then, but as for everything else nothing has changed. How is the publisher hunting coming along?"
"It's getting there; I'm actually having a little assistance with finding a publisher and you will not believe who is helping me out." Roxie replied.
"Yeah because the room you're in definitely does not look like one of the hostel rooms that we saw online a few months ago." Cassie chuckled.
"About that, well um you see-." Roxie started. All of a sudden Nathan opened the guest bedroom door.
"Hey, I just wanted to-what are you doing?" Nathan asked Roxie.
"I'm just talking to my room mate Cassie on Face Chat. Do you want to meet her?"
"Ok." Nathan responded. Nathan then walked over to Roxie's bed and sat next to her.
"Cassie, this is Nathan. Nathan; this is my room mate Cassie." Roxie introduced.
"It's nice to meet you Cassie. Roxie has told me and the lads so much about you." Nathan said. To Roxie and Nathan's surprise; Cassie was completely stunned at what she was seeing right now. Roxie, her best friend and room mate; was sitting right next to Nathan Hendrickson of Fifth Avenue Square.
"Cassie; are you ok?" Roxie asked her.
"Huh; oh, wow that was embarrassing. Yeah; I'm good. I'm just really-."
"Surprised?" Nathan guessed.
"I was going to say shocked, but I guess surprised works too. So how did you two meet each other?" Cassie asked.
"Ok; I think that's enough talking for now." Roxie stated.
"Now, hold on; Cassie here just asked me an important question right now," Nathan pointed out. "And I think its my right, as being the nice guy that saved your life; to answer that very question." he added.
"Wait; you actually saved Roxie's life? Aww, that's so cute." Cassie giggled.
"Technically Nathan just gave me some food and tea and a place to sleep for the night. So I wouldn't count that as much as 'saving my life'." Roxie admitted.
"It's the same thing!" Cassie and Nathan said.
"Anyway, Nathan what was it that you wanted to tell me earlier?" Roxie asked.
"Oh, right; I just wanted to let you know that whenever you're ready, I've got my songs that I wanted you to see." Nathan told her.
"Cool; I'll see you in the media room." Roxie smiled.
"Yeah about that; we're not going to work in the media room."
"We're not?" Roxie asked.
"Nope; just meet me in the kitchen in 15 minutes. I'll explain everything later," Nathan told her as he was leaving the room. "It was a pleasure to meet you Cassie." he added.
"The pleasure is all mine." Cassie smiled. Then Nathan walked out of the bedroom. Roxie just laughed and to her surprise Cassie was just staring at her.
"What?" Roxie asked her.
"Nothing; it's just Nathan seems like a nice guy." Cassie replied.
"Yeah; don't have much hope just yet. Nathan is still that guy that we all here on the tabloids from time to time." Roxie remarked.
"Ok; sure whatever." Cassie said.
"Aww, I miss your funny remarks," Roxie whined. "Since we are on the topic of Nathan; I feel like there is something familiar about him and for some odd reason I can't put my finger on it." she added.
"What do you mean?" Cassie asked.
"I mean whenever I'm alone with Nathan; he does some-I can't really explain it, but he has qualities that kind of remind me of Fifth Avenue Boy," Roxie replied. "You don't think that Nathan could be Fifth Avenue Boy?" she asked Cassie.
"I don't know Roxie, that's up to you to figure out. I'm not saying that he isn't; I just want you to be careful when it comes to stuff like that. The only way you are going to find out if Nathan is Fifth Avenue Boy is if you open up to him and give him a chance." Cassie told her.
"I know, but you know about my trust issues. It's one of my many struggles that I've got in life."
"Well if you want to know if Nathan is Fifth Avenue Boy; you've got to let those trust issues go. Look; why don't you just try it out when you meet up with him later. Maybe getting to know someone like Nathan isn't that bad of an idea." Cassie suggested to her.
"Fine; I'll give it a shot, but I'm only doing this just for you. Anyway, how is your job at the student library at NYU?" Roxie said.
"It's not that bad. Garrett and everyone has been treating me fairly. So since you did run into Nathan Hendrickson while you are in the UK; have you-oh, I don't know; given him my demo CD yet?" Cassie asked.
"No I haven't. Let's just say things are a little held up right now in my little adventure in the UK." Roxie admitted.
"Little as in?"
"You better grab some snacks and something to drink because this is going to be a long story." Roxie told her. Roxie then explained in detail what has happened to her the past few days. Cassie was in complete shock of what Roxie was doing in the UK. Cassie knew that Roxie was a hard worker, but in all her life; Cassie had no idea Roxie would be able to handle a job such as Fifth Avenue Square's personal assistant.
"In all my life I'd never would have thought that you, Roxie; would even think of agreeing of being Fifth Avenue Square's personal assistant. That's just freaking unbelievable." Cassie stated.
"Yeah, but the tricky part now is trying to convince Scott, the boys' manager; that I'm perfect for the job." Roxie sighed.
"I'm pretty sure you'll get the job. I mean look at what you did with Nathan this morning. That's a big accomplishment that probably no one would have thought of. Not to mention you've also helped out Paul, Landon and Calvin with their songwriting; that at least has to count for something." Cassie told her.
"Yeah, but you wouldn't believe of how strict Scott is when it comes to hiring somebody to be Fifth Avenue Square's personal assistant. It can get pretty intense."
"Roxie; listen to me. No matter how intense this might be Scott isn't going to find anyone like you who's got the experience and talent for this job. Now you said that Nathan told you that Scott was away on some business trip, right?"
"Yeah, but I don't know what kind of business trip he's on. All I know is that Scott is staying in California for a month and I've got to come up with something amazing in that amount of time or I don't get the job." Roxie replied.
"Maybe there is a way for you to get the job just in time for Scott's return back to London from his business trip." Cassie mentioned.
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that Garrett and Kyle might have to work together at the student library at NYU because I might have to take a little trip to the UK." Cassie said.
