Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

"Roxie; Roxie, can you hear me?" a voice faintly called. Roxie couldn't recall what had happened to her in the past few minutes. All Roxie could remember was that Nathan standing right in front of her as she was looking at a picture of Fifth Avenue Square. The next thing she knew Roxie was feeling immensely dizzy and the room going dark. Roxie knew that once she woken up, Nathan was going to have to explain himself possibly everything; especially the fact that he was Nathan Hendrickson of Fifth Avenue Square. Roxie couldn't even believe how stupid she even fell for one of Nathan's tricks. Roxie, of course; was somewhat of an avid fan of Fifth Avenue Square. Roxie just couldn't believe that of all the people she could have run into while on her 3 month trip to the UK; it would have to be freaking Nathan Hendrickson. What was even more embarrassing was that Roxie had passed out in front of Nathan twice already.

While this was happening; Nathan, Paul, Landon and Calvin were standing over Roxie's body.

"Ok; I've tried everything that I could possibly think of right now. I don't think Roxie is going to wake up anytime soon." Paul stated.

"There has to be another way to wake Roxie up. We can't just leave her here lying on the living room floor; that is just straight up rude." Nathan remarked.

"Don't look at me; it's not my fault that I brought Roxie here in the first place and didn't tell her the whole truth of who I actually was last night." Calvin argued.

"Oh, sure; let's all blame the bad member of the band on this problem so we don't have to go through it all over again. That is so supportive of you guys." Nathan retorted.

"Ok, that is enough! If you three raise your voice one more time, I swear you're going to freaking wish that Scott didn't put me in charge while he's away. Besides, anymore loud noises; Roxie will wake up wondering why there are four guys who are supposed to be band mates acting like a bunch of idiots." Paul shrieked.

"Well, what do you want us to do with Roxie? Throw her and her belongings out into the street?" Landon asked. Nathan just stared at Landon with his jaw dropped.

"Ok; now you've got me pissed off." Nathan said as he was about to lunge at Landon. Luckily; Calvin and Paul were able to stop both Landon and Nathan from fighting each other before Roxie could see what was happening.

"Look, fighting is not going to solve this issue in the first place. What we need to do is get Roxie into another room while we try to find a solution on where Roxie is going to stay since she already knows the truth about us." Paul instructed.

"Well, since it's my mistake on bringing Roxie here and not telling her who I was in the first place; I'll move Roxie into the media room." Nathan said.

"Why are you going to put Roxie in the media room? That room, let alone is one of the most used rooms that we, as a band; use on a daily basis." Calvin remarked.

"If you have any other ideas; by all means, speak now or forever hold your peace," Nathan stated. Calvin then shut his mouth. "Yeah, that's what I thought. Now, if you boys will excuse me; I've got some business that I have to take care of right now." he added. Nathan then went over to where Roxie was laying down and carried her bridal style in his arms to the media room. In the meantime, the other three boys started to eat breakfast. Once Nathan had arrived to the media room, he laid Roxie down on the sofa that was next to the band's computer and television. Nathan then knelt down and looked at Roxie.

"Please wake up; at least do that for me." Nathan whispered to her. Nathan then moved some of Roxie's hair out of her face so he could stare at her. When Nathan did this; Nathan was completely stunned of how beautiful Roxie looked when she was completely peacefully asleep. Nathan had seen many pretty girls, but for once in his life; Nathan was in total awe of the natural beauty of a girl that he just barely met last night. Nathan just stayed that way for a few minutes and then decided to join the other boys. When Nathan had returned back to the kitchen, the other three boys were almost done with their breakfast.

"Has Roxie woken up yet?" Paul asked him.

"No, not yet; I'm sorry guys, but we can't just leave Roxie out in the streets with no place to stay, no food and no stability. She deserves more than any of the bull crap that we have been giving her so far today." Nathan stated.

"Nathan; no matter how many times you can try to convince me to change my mind, I can't change the rules Scott gave us yesterday before he left on his business trip. We cannot let anyone, let alone someone that we know; stay in the house until Scott hires another personal assistant." Paul told him.

"Roxie hasn't done anything wrong to any of us?! Sure; I didn't tell her the exact truth of who we actually were, but there's no harm being done with bending the rules for a few weeks." Nathan suggested.

"Nathan's right; Roxie probably has no place to stay while she's here in the UK. She knows who we are already. It's not like she is going to spill to all of her friends back home about who she stayed with on her first night." Calvin mentioned.

"Hold on; what if Roxie gets mad and blames Nathan for not telling her the truth about us? There's no freaking way Roxie is going to want to stay here once that happens. Unless you can try to find a way to convince Roxie to stay." Landon pointed out to Nathan.

"Maybe there is a way to convince Roxie to stay here," Nathan thought. "Oh, my gosh; I finally got it!" he shrieked.

"What is it?" Paul asked.

"Roxie told me last night that she was in the UK to find herself a publisher to have them give her an amazing deal for her story that she had written a few years ago. Plus we are in the process of looking for a new personal assistant at the moment." Nathan explained.

"Wait a minute; how does Roxie finding a big publishing deal and us looking for a new personal assistant-oh, my gosh; no!" Paul gasped.

"Yup, that's right Paul; we are going to help Roxie with finding a publisher and have her be our new personal assistant." Nathan smiled.

"How in the-when in the; does Lexie even know about all of this?" Paul asked.

"Could somebody please tell us what is going on right now? You know that Calvin and I can see and hear the two of you talking?!" Landon mentioned.

"Ok; you two remember how we always told Scott that as a band we wanted somebody who was the same age as us to be our new personal assistant, right?" Nathan recalled.

"Well, yeah and we also remember the times Scott has told us no countless of times. Wait a minute-oh, my gosh; you want Roxie to be our new personal assistant?!" Calvin shouted.

"Will you keep your voice down?! I haven't exactly told Roxie; let alone Scott or Lexie, about this idea just yet." Nathan said.

"Please tell me that you do actually plan on telling Roxie about all of this?" Landon pleaded.

"Well, now that you have mentioned it...." Nathan started.

"NATHAN?!" the other boys yelled.

"Alright, alright; I'll tell Roxie about my plan as soon as she wakes up. In the meantime, will you let my finish explaining my plan?" Nathan stated.

"Fine, let's hear it; it better be a good plan or Roxie is going to be gone by tonight." Paul sighed. Nathan then explained in detail his actual plan on how to get Roxie to not only stay with the boys, but also to help her with her career as an author.

"So let me get this straight; you are going to try to convince Roxie to be our new personal assistant so she could have enough money saved up for her publishing deal and at the same time we are going to find her a publisher for her story?" Calvin rephrased.

"If you put it in that way; then yes, that is exactly what I'm trying to go for here," Nathan said confidently. "Guys, it's perfect for us. We've always been trying to convince Scott to us a personal assistant who is at least the same or close to the age as us. Roxie fits the whole profile perfectly. She's the same age, has a well known background in helping people in the music business and knows a good song when she hears it." he added.

"He does have a good point there; the four of us alone are having enough trouble as it is writing some songs for the next album." Calvin pointed out.

"Did I also mention that Roxie is a brilliant, talented writer?" Nathan added.

"What do you think, Landon?" Paul asked him.

"Well, at first I thought that the whole idea was stupid in the first place. I don't know; as soon as I started to picture Roxie as our personal assistant, I could kind of see where Nathan was going with his plan. Besides, we won't know anything unless we try something." Landon mentioned.

"Are you positive that you can try to not only convince Roxie to be our personal assistant, but also Scott as soon as he returns from his trip?" Paul asked Nathan.

"Please, knowing Roxie; there is no way she is going to say no to this opportunity." Nathan smiled. What the boys didn't know was as they were discussing; Roxie was awake and had overheard the whole conversation from the media room.
