"So how are things with you and X?" Natalie asked as we lounged in the courtyard to watch the sunset. "We're good", I told her honestly. "He's been extra attentive, caring and we've spent quite a lot of time together recently that it's driving my hormones raging like a storm".
"So I've heard", she replied. "The whole mate bond thing". I nodded agreeing, "It's just crazy how much I've come to depend on him and how his presence seems to brighten my day at any time".
"I guess this means you guys are finally considering completing the mate bond or isn't that what you wanted to talk about", she asked curiously. "Hmm, always perceptive", I replied with a small smile.
"It is one of the things I wanted to talk to you about", I said frankly. "The other thing is the topic of my mom". She perked up at that as I continued, "I've been seeing her in my dreams these days and I'm worried if I tell Xander he might start being too careful with the information he passes on to me".
