It's been a few minutes since Asha woke up from her nightmare and here I am waiting on the bed for her to get herself together, her words not mine. I couldn't care less about the way she looked but she did and wanted to make herself presentable, her words again.
While waiting for her, I mind-linked my beta and gamma to get the updates they had received while I had fallen asleep. Keith had the security patrol tonight so he was the only one awake to give me the reports, Jesse on the other hand, dead asleep.
Two minutes later, Asha walked towards me and sat on the bed beside me. She took a few audible breaths which had me a little worried. I hope she's not about to drop a bomb on me.
"I've been having dreams about my mom every night since the pack dinner", she began gently. "That's the reason I refused sleeping in your room. I didn't tell you because I wasn't sure you'd still carry me along on the search for my mom and I didn't want to worry you".
