"You will not believe what just-OH WOAH!"Carson exclaims, staring at the two boys in disbelief. "Am I interrupting something?"
"Uh-I-"Kyle stutters in embarrassment.
"No! Nothing is happening."Oliver says, embarrassed and flustered, and gets off of Kyle.
Carson starts laughing loudly. "Hey, I'll leave right away. Wouldn't want to get in the way of your ~love~."
"Carson, I'm gonna kill you, you little bitch."Oliver says, putting on a gray shirt to go with his black swim shorts.
'Wait why is he wearing swim shorts?'
"Poor Kyle. He probably feels like he lives with a pedophile."Carson says. His eyes are watering from how much he was laughing.
"Uh...I-"Kyle stutters, trying to find what to say. "It's not so bad, I guess."
"What's this?"Carson says, dramatically putting a hand to his chest and another to his head. "You actually like being roommates with this guy, Kyle?"
"When he's not all touchy and rude, he's not so bad."Kyle responds. He doesn't want to make it seem like he likes being touched by Oliver.
"Aww. How sweet. Isn't that right, Oliver?"Carson nudges Oliver who's gone completely quiet.
"Um, Oliver are you alright?"Kyle asks him.
He nods and looks at Carson. "Let's go, idiot."
Carson nods and says, "Okay, but don't you wanna invite your boyfriend?"
"He's not my boyfriend and no I don't!"Oliver says, dragging Carson by his shirt.
"Where are you guys going?"Kyle asks. Becuase he's curious. Not becuase he wants to know where Oliver is gonna be with another guy. Alone.
"To the-"Carson starts.
"Don't you dare."Oliver cuts him off.
"But the kid wants to know."Carson pleads. He just wants to see what will happen between them two.
"Fine. We're going to the lake with a couple of our other friends."Oliver says, crossing his arms in annoyance.
"Yeah. We haven't done that in a while. And it'll be good to cool off."Carson says. He's practically beaming with happiness.
'Please say you want to come with us.'He hopes. Maybe Kyle will be the one for Oliver.
"Wait, but didn't you already shower, Oliver? Isn't that why your hair was wet?"Kyle asks.
"Yeah I did. But that was becuase this idiot,"he smacks Carson's head. "Spilled soda on me."
"Ow!"Carson says, rubbing the back of his head. "That was an accident."
Oliver rolls his eyes.
"Oh. Well hope you guys have fun."Kyle smiles and walk over to his bed, taking out his computer.
Carson pouts sadly. He's not gonna give up. "Do you wanna come?"he asks him.
"What?"Oliver says. Looking at Carson with annoyance.
'I swear, if he wasn't my best friend, I'd kick his ass right now.'
"Really?"Kyle's eyes shimmer with eagerness.
"Yeah. I'm inviting you."Carson says happily.
"I don't think Oliver wants me to go, though."
"Who cares what this big baby wants anyway?"he wraps a hand around Oliver's neck.
"Agh! I hate you, Car."Oliver's says, trying to get out of Carson's grasp.
"Now, now. Is that any way to talk to your elder? I'm older than you, you have to respect me."Carson says in a dramatic formal tone.
Kyle laughs a little and Oliver glares at him.
"Come on, Kyle. You gotta live a little. You only live once."
"I guess I could go."Kyle takes it into consideration.
"Yes! Oliver needs his little lover!"
"He's not my lover!"Oliver punches Carson and he lets go.
"OUCH! YOU BITCH!"he rubs his stomach and pretends to cry.
"I don't care if you come or not. It makes no difference to me. I'll have fun no matter what. I can let loose, unlike you."
"I can let loose, too! I'll prove it!"Kyle says and stands up. "Just let me change."
"Sure."Oliver grabs his towel and his bag and walks out. "Hurry up."
"Yes!"Carson says happily, following after Oliver.
Kyle quickly pulls on his swim shirts and packs a change of clothes and his towel. He tosses his phone and key in it, too.
"I'm done."He smiles as he walks out.
"Good. Let's go."Oliver says.
"So. Kyle. What's your favorite color?"Carson asks him.
"Um, blue. I guess."Kyle responds.
"Okay, okay. Good. So do you prefer summer or winter?"
"I like both. I like summer becuase I can swim during that season, but it gets super hot and I don't like getting sweaty."
"Mhm. And do you like girls or gu-"
"Carson!"Oliver snaps. "What are you doing?"
"I'm getting to know him. Duh. I need to know if he's going to be a good brother-in-law to me."Carson responds and puts his arm around Kyle's shoulder.
"H-huh?"Kyle asks, flustered. Brother-in-law?
"What the fuck are you talking about?"Oliver asks.
"Me and you are like brothers, Oliver. And I need to know everything about your future husband. Or at least future boyfriend."Carson says simply.
"I'm not gonna marry that small fry! I don't like him! Gosh, you get on my nerves!"Oliver says, exasperated.
"U-um..."Kyle stutters.
"Oh please. You two obviously have something going on. I can literally see the sexual tension pouring from you."
"Shut up!"
They arrive at Oliver's expensive looking car and get in.
Kyle feels wierd being inside here. He's almost afraid to touch the car or he'll dirty it. Or scratch it.
"Wow. Your car is super amazing, Oliver."Kyle says, taking in the smell. It's very different from his dad's run down car.
"I know, right? His family own like eight cars!"Carson says.
"Ten."Oliver corrects him.
"Wow!"Kyle says, in shock.
Oliver starts the car and drives out of the parking lot, to the lake.
"They have an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. And a hot tub. I love going to his house."Carson says.
"Why are you showing off my riches, Car? Everybody knows I'm rich. It isn't that much of a big deal."Oliver scoffs.
"So? It's still amazing how much you guys own. I mean, doesn't your dad own a yacht, too?"Carson asks him.
"Yes he does. But my sister helped him pay for that. You're rich, too."
"Not like you. Not even close."
Kyle shifts in his seat. He doesn't belong here. They're both rich, attractive, and come from good families.
Carson's parents own a clinic. They help out a lot on this city.
What was he thinking? Kyle's parents are barely middle-class. They could never like a commoner like him. So does Carson seem to like him? And Oliver always seems to be touching him, too.
"You guys are so cool. I feel like a commoner with you guys."He says, squeezing his bag tighter.
"It's not that big a deal. The only difference between us and you is we have a bigger house. But we're all human." Carson reassures him.
"That's not the only difference."Kyle says.
"Being famous isn't as fun as it seems."Oliver says. "You're never free. You always have everyone wanting to know every single thing about you. You have no privacy. And no one actually cares about you. They just care about getting all of your bussiness."
The car goes silent. Outside they can hear people talking, cars passing by, music.
"Yeah, you're right. I wish you didn't have to feel like that."Kyle tells him.
"Guess it wasn't in the cards for me."Oliver sighs. "Anyways, we're almost there."
"Ok."Kyle responds.
"Oh thus is gonna be lit!"Carson says, trying to lift up the mood.
"Yeah. I just hope I can fit in with the other guys."Kyle says.
"You will. They love newcomers. And I'll make sure they don't bother you."Carson gives Kyle a thumbs up.
Having Carson by his makes him feel a little better. All he has to do is have fun. Just swim and laugh at jokes and stay by Oliver and Carson's side.
