I have slept too much and woke up feeling heavy. I haven't slept like this for a very long time. My whole body felt lethargic but I won't let it. I got off the bed with a groan. I had overslept. This only reminds the time I had slept like this was when I was with my real parents, and I had slept throughout the whole entire day feeling heavy all over. My parents would not say anything and leave me to figure out things on my own. I am stubborn. I can't be taught. I have to experience these lessons to learn.
I looked beside me and Dr Kieran was not here his spot was awfully cold. He must have gotten up real early.
I sauntered my way through the bathroom seeing a pair of clothing and toothbrush on a sink with a note written in it. I took it and read it. 'Hello Mr Monroe, Jamison had kindly taken your toothbrush and some of your clothing down to my room if you need a longer stay. You don't have to worry about me I can stay in the lab or in my own house. Ciao.' A smile crawled up into my lips and somehow my heartfelt much more light weighted than usual it's like a stone from my heart has been lifted off.
I took Kieran toothpaste and pushed out the substance to my toothbrush. I got myself cleaned up feeling refreshed I walked to the lab to find Kieran but the minute I walked in there. I was greeted by three hot triplets. All of them have red eyes and they felt inhumane.
I wanted to call out to Kieran, but when he turns around his eyes was burning red. There was some air that screams danger. He smiles at me. I took a couple of steps back afraid. There is a strong sense of blood lust around him. "Allow me to introduce you to Kieran's lover, Samuel," he spoke. "And Samuel I will like you to meet Seth, Berk and Rust also known to humans as Cerberus."
I nod in reply but something seems off. The way he has introduced me to Cerberus was like he was not himself. The air feels so suffocated around him making him look like a cold-blooded killer in front of me. Kieran has never acted this way. He is our family doctor. He saves lives. The only explanation to this is that he is not Kieran but someone else.
I examined the famous mythological creatures. They look completely like a human and they look exactly like each other. There is no way I can tell them apart, but the one standing in the middle has been smirking at me the whole time.
"It looks like he figured it out," the middle one said. "A smart lad, isn't he, boss?"
"Yes indeed," Kieran said. "But the very stubborn type." He smiles.
"Who are you?" I asked pissed at his words.
"I am Lord Hades. The Greek God of the underworld. I specifically chose Kieran to become my host."
I listened it looks like this family has almost all the Big Three. It's a little hard to believe that Hades would choose Kieran as his host.
"Lord Hades," the middle of the three Berk said. "What shall we do about the door now?"
"Keep guarding it. No one can come in or out until we know exactly what we are up against. Berk, you keep guarding it. You are the strongest among the three. Rust and Seth I want you to sniff out the imposter but stay low and cautious. I'll ask Euronymous to help guard the door. He'll eat up anyone who dares to cross the door.
Zeus needs to choose a host soon if not the final evolution of the fox won't be completed."
Did I hear just hear fox?
The Cerberus nods and disappears. Hades looked up at me. "I am sure you have a lot of questions, but in time you will know. However, Erica, your boss plays a huge rule in saving all our lives."
I am even more confused. Hades sighed. He began to tell all the stories about Nora and how she is one of the most powerful goddesses that was made by mother earth. I tried to listen and absorb all information into my head."Why are you telling me all of this?" I asked.
"It's because you are Kieran's love that I have to explain things to you. Right now hell is not even safe anymore. The spirits are coming and going as the pleased. The judges are not even heeding my call. Something or someone is causing trouble in my domain."
"Can't you go back or do something about it?"
"Going back," he arched his eyebrow. "This is basically something or someone trying to luring me into a trap. Going back means walking into an enemy trap. For now, I can only try to contact the judge to know what's going on."
"Why though?" I asked.
"The fox is known as the destroyer of heaven and earth if we don't awaken the fox Erica won't have enough power to defeat The Ancient Ones.
It was because at that time I was lead into a trap that I couldn't wake up the fox in him to wake Xenon Jamison, Nora's father. I won't make the same mistakes again. So Zeus needs to come and fast."
"Are they that strong?"
"Samuel, imagine humans smashing ants it's easy right?" I nod. "Then imagine this we're the ants and they are the humans." My hands were trembling now. "The only one that can stand in their way is the fox that resides in Erica, and we need to awaken it."
"How are you all related to the fox?"
"Elements are the things that made up the planet. Zeus has the power over sky meaning air. Poseidon controls the sea; water. I am the Lord of the Underworld Earth and death. The Fox possess fire; a destroyer. The three of us is going to awaken the Fox. If we all pour a little blood and power into Erica she'll become Omnipotent. She'll be able to fight The Ancient Ones on equal terms. Kieran's waking up," Hades said. "Tell him to stop using my powers. It'll eat him up. Thanks, Samuel."
