It's finally starting, huh? With the warm-ups all done, everyone finally decided to start the game to decide the rooms...

'I have, actually.' Well, that's pretty sad, the way this works is a three-versus-two game, Hotaka and Kana, also known as the "platonic couple", as said by Haruka, is going up against the three of us. To keep it fair, the three of us start with 2 lives each while the duo starts at 3.
"Why did I wager my room in the first place, if you think about it, I could've just taken someone in."
Kana regretted starting a battle.
"Yeah, but that would lose the point of me trying to prove myself to you!" Hotaru shouted.
"Hotaka, I'm gonna destroy you and take back my place beside Kana" she followed as she started the game.
"Wait! I'm not ready yet—" before I could say anything else, the countdown to the start of the match began and Hotaru rushed at Hotaka.
"Take this! And this! And this!" She spammed buttons so loudly I couldn't tell which one was my inputs, but believe it or not, it's working somehow!
"Wait, timeout! Give me some breathing space!" Hotaka pleaded whilst running away.
"You can breathe when I destroy your three lives!"
Hotaru chased after the fleeing Hotaka.
Sigh, as hyped as ever. Instead of straight-up fighting, I rushed to get a weapon to follow up on Hotaru's foolishness.
Suddenly Hotaru gets attacked from the side, it was Kana.
"Ow! That hurt! Leave me and the cowardly boy alone! I have a bone to pick with him!" Hotaru tried to push Kana out of the way.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, I mean, it is a team battle, right? Hahaha!" Kana dodged Hotaru and hit her with a spear, Hotaru couldn't counter-attack because she chose to rush Hotaka unarmed.
Sigh, looks like Haruka and I have to save her. Wait, where is Haruka? Oh shoot, she's already charging in!
I quickly grip my scythe and rush towards the clash. I used a Heavy attack to interrupt Kana as she continuously attacked Hotaru.
"Hotaru, quickly! Find a weapon and reposition! Haruka help me shut down Kana" I said to the two.
"What? Wait where did you get those weapons!" Hotaru said as she ran away.
"Oh don't think I'll let you off easy!" Hotaka suddenly jumped onto Hotaru and threw her off the stage. Hotaru would've survived if not for the combo that Kana hit.
"Haruka, keep Kana in check! Spam your Heavy attacks, your attack range should overpower her's!" I said as I ran to Hotaka.
"Wait, what?!" Haruka shouted.
I rushed Hotaka and attacked him with a heavy attack.
"Wait, what? You were there?! Wait, time out!" Hotaka pleaded.
I was too focused to listen, I immediately followed up with a light attack to maintain the staggered Hotaka and threw him off the stage.
Tch! Not enough knockback! "Why don't you hit me harder so I can actually die— Oof!" Hotaka was too busy trash-talking he didn't notice me throw my weapon at him.
"Haha! Why don't you pay attention to the screen, loser!" Hotaru taunted the shocked Hotaka.
"Shut up! You died first, remember?!" Hotaka said.
"Looks like it actually is practically a one versus one, huh?" Kana said with a smug expression on her face.
"Wait where's Haruka?"
"My bad, sis! She got the best of me!"
Sigh... So I guess it is really a 1v1.
"Look like you don't have a weapon." Kana mocked me.
"I don't think I need one in this situation." I said as I looked at the ledge of the stage.
I couldn't hear what Kana said thanks to the loud cheering of my very helpful spectators. But I could see that Kana was rushing towards me at a quick speed, so I dodged on top of her and jumped on top of her head.
On top of Kana's head was a platform where I went to in order to get the high ground advantage.
"Oh, no, you don't!" Kana said as she pulled me back down. Darn, I almost got the weapon!
I sprinted towards the other side of the stage swiftly.
"Where do you think you're going?!" Kana slowly caught up to me little by little.
"Take this!" I turned around and threw a right hook towards Kana, thank God it actually hit! "Ow! I'm gonna get you for that! Hey! Get back here!" the chase continues.
I finally got my weapon and quickly repositioned to face Kana. Once again, we were in a stalemate. Equal health, and equal footing.
We both charged at each other and I knew I had the advantage because I had blasters as my weapon and she had the axe. As we got closer and closer, I jumped to the upper platform and pointed my blasters downward, ready to fire.
"Gotcha!" Kana read my movements and prepared a Heavy attack in my direction. I flew to the air so quickly I was sure I had died. But thank the game, I actually lived. Seeing as Kana is repeating the same move, I fell towards her attack.
Kana smiled with glee as she realized she had won the round. I then threw the guns towards Kana and everything happened in a flash.
"Round over! The Red team wins!" the announcer shouted.
"Wait what but I had her! She was dead! What do you mean we lost?!" Kana refused to believe the announcer. We decided to replay the footage of the game, which we recorded because of possible situations like these.
"I can't believe it! You threw your blasters at me and I exploded! What magic did you pull off?!" Kana grabbed me by the shoulder.
"Well, it's really easy, all you have to do is charge a Heavy attack, wait for it to fully charge, and instead of releasing it, you throw your weapon. The impact would make the blasters explode, leading to massive knockback." I calmly explained.
"What do you mean simple?! That was amazing!" Hotaru praised me.
"I wouldn't have thought to do that!" Haruka said.
"Lucky shot! Let's see you win the next game!" Hotaka shouted.
"Yeah, good play and all, but I won't fall for it again!" Kana said as she grabbed Hotaka and sat back down.
Round 1 was an intense game. And here I thought it would be a sweep...
