Chereads / The God Father / Chapter 8 - A Palace

Chapter 8 - A Palace

In a chair a perfect-looking young kid was sitting on top of books since the desk in front of him was still too high for him, he was immersed in reading a book in his hands with some weird shapes and drawings all over, this young kid, of course, was little Ihan who was trying to understand the Disciple Crafter Realm magic formations.

After he came back yesterday from crafting all the simple magic formations which he didn't make a single fail at and even ended up successfully crafting, as he was happy and brimming with joy his master made all the magic formations disappear, that left little Ihan stunned but then his master explained to him that there are items with special space inside of them and could be used as storage and only Top-Tier Grandmaster Crafters or Supreme Crafters could make them, he promised him if he could reach Disciple Crafter Realm he'll give him the ring called 'Void Ring' as a reward and will also take him to the place he promised earlier there he'll officially become a Disciple Crafter.

So little Ihan woke first thing in the morning after having breakfast with his family he got back into the library and started trying to learn all the Disciple Crafter magic formation, there were 12 magic formations left, unlike the first part, it took him some time to understand and learn each one of these magic formations but in the end, he finished them in 12 hours, this, of course, was by no mean slow it was instead too fast since normal craft seekers would take 2-3 months to fully learn and understand only 3-4 magic formations and this without counting that they would still fail in the crafting process, but little Ihan learned all of them.

The 6 magic formations had almost the same functions but different abilities, one formation was using pure Life Energy and the other 5 used either Fire-Life Energy, Water-Life Energy, Ice-Life Energy, Wind-Life Energy, Earth-Life Energy, there were 12 magic formations since the book explained the use of Life Energy and Secondary-Life Energy to make both protection and attacking formations.

Little Ihan didn't want to go to his master because he was confident that he could succeed but instead he wanted to finish somethings as his master told he would take him away after becoming a Disciple Crafter, it was his goal of exploring the underground path beneath the library, and now that he had secured means of protection and means of attacking although he also had the Light Eye which his master left for him because it was his first craft, he still couldn't use it without any Life Energy to activate it.

He decided since it was nigh he'll head there right now since it didn't matter if it was day or night outside it was dark either way inside the underground path and that way even if he spent more time his parents would be sleeping so he didn't need to have lunch or dinner or anything that would have them come looking for him, again, of course, these were the thoughts of a 4-year-old, one would often forget and believe he was at least a 10 years old or older.

As the darkness descended little Ihan made sure everyone was asleep and he had prepared for everything from food to water to means of attacking which was a metal rode that he picked from the barns, he picked his trusty lamp then pointed the metal rode inside the crack with his left hand and used the lamp in his right hand to lighten the area after a little bit of search he found the button.

Click Rumble

The button was pressed down with a click sound just like last time then the floor started moving outwards, he inspected it carefully and pointed the lamp inside trying to see the end of the stairs but to no avail then he jumped down, it seemed the stairs led somewhere deep underground, he started moving downwards with careful steps since he could only see 3 steps in front of him due to the excessive darkness that surrounded him, after what seemed like 20-30 minutes of going down and he was wondering if he should give up and head back, he finally found himself in what seemed like a wide hall it looked very old and had spider webs all over the place with torches hanging on the side, he thought for a bit after observing his surroundings and tried to pick a torch off the side to light it on fire with his lamp but it was too high for him to reach so he gave, he started looking through the hall with slow yet steady steps.

The hall was dark with no source of light other than little Ihan lamp, little Ihan himself wasn't scared from this place it might've been due to the protection he received from his master or to some other unknown reason but if you put someone else inside this place they wouldn't dare walk into that endless darkness afraid of the unknown dangers or traps that could be ahead.

While little Ihan was thinking the same, if there really was something good while there were no traps or any other dangers to guard the goods inside this place, he had finally reached what seemed to be a door made of some unknown material, little Ihan thought it would be locked, he looked up and found a sign that said "Sage Vera's Knowledge Palace", although he didn't know what was inside just from the words, he still thought there must be at least something like a crafter's knowledge or some other useful information, he was going to push the door but then suddenly the door opened itself to him, and only darkness was shown inside, he was struck with some fear but still gritted his teeth and went inside.

He felt like he passed thought some sort of liquid, as he thought he would be greeted by darkness like usual instead the area was lit with a crystal chandelier of numerous lights that looked like his Light Eye attached to the high ceiling, after giving his eyes sometime to get used to the light, he observed his surroundings and looked astonished as this place that was built like a 'king's palace' with ancient luxury decoration all over the place and not a spec of dirt or dust was seen around, it looked like someone just recently cleaned it, there were some pictures of nature or random objects that were hanged on the wall and up the stairs on the wall there was a painting of an old man with a white beard and a scholar's clothing that gave off the aura of knowledge, there were vases with fresh flowers on the small round tables the 'palace' had 2 floors and little Ihan felt overwhelmed by everything in front of him, he didn't know what to do and also after seeing how clean the place was and how there were fresh flowers he thought there might be someone inside, which added to the fear he had before when the door opened itself.

Little Ihan suddenly was struck with the idea that no matter what he did he first needed to retreat immediately.

All this time since little Ihan stepped inside the palace the Grade A A.I inside his head was recording off all of the activities and went into guard mode.

[Host has entered a dangerous area.]

[Detecting signs of foreign energy inspecting the Host.]

[Entering Active Guard Mode!]

[Attempting to exert influence over Host's thoughts, Actions: Immediate Retreat!]

[Success!]

Little Ihan didn't try to stay any longer and gave up due to the influence of the Grade A A.I which added to his resolve of retreating, he backed up carefully until he reached the door then closed it and ran to the end of the hall and started climbing the stairs while looking back into the darkness as he sped up his steps because of the influence of the Grade A A.I, the imagination of the kid inside of him got the best of him and he climbed faster and faster then little Ihan started running as he felt something following him.

Swoosh

As soon as little Ihan saw the exit he stepped on the button to close the exit and climbed putting his guard against the underground path until it closed and nothing could come out of it.

[Host is no longer in danger.]

When little Ihan got out it seemed that he spent 2 hours inside so it was deep in the night, he thought about everything inside and decided to forget everything right now since the fear inside of him still hadn't died, he reminded himself that he shouldn't do anything like this again unless he had the strength to back it, he decided the best thing to do was visiting his master in the morning and becoming a Disciple Crafter, right now sleeping was the only objective in his mind to erase the fear out.

He put every object he had taken with him back in its place with caution afraid to wake up anyone in the mansion and then got back to his room that he hadn't slept-in in a while because he was scared of sleeping in the library due to all the events he experienced and to think he was only 4 years old and he could still think about everything that had happened and act accordingly was just nothing short of amazing when little Ihan finally fell asleep the Grade A A.I went into work.

[Host is asleep!]

[Attempting to lock Host's memory of the 'underground palace' until Masters's awakening.]

[Success!]

[Re-Entering Sleep Mode!]

Then the Grade A A.I itself went into sleep mode, while unknown to little Ihan that when he woke in the morning his memory of the palace would be gone.

*Author's Notes*

What ?.. you forget this story was started by an A.I in the first place? lol

Hmmm... the door opened by itself and a clean underground palace with fresh flowers... a sage painting...

P.S: don't forget his soul is older than his current Master's age *wink* by 2-3 times, it's just that a new self was created in his old soul and he will eventually regain his old self, so his action which doesn't seem like a 4-year-old is because of the old self influence.
