As the sun began to set upon the horizon, dark shadows crept beneath the cover of the lush greenery of the forests and several forests creatures hurriedly scurried to their nests or burrows to avoid the nocturnal beasts who ruled the coming night.
On the mountain peaks beyond the clouds that bathed in the ray's of the majestic setting sun, above the spiraling cliffs there was a large cave entrance, where four Brown winged Wyverns rested near the cliffs edge whilst one of them gazed at the gorgeously breath taking view of the Meridian Continent.
The Meridian continent is known across Nevalion for it's near limitless abundance of medicinal herbs and potentially poisonous fauna, because of this the Meridian Continents wildlife developed many immunities to protect themselves from diseases by feeding on the planets or used the poison effortlessly to capture prey and stave off predators.
For the civilized nations of the lesser known races, many wars were fought to lay claim on the lands with the most bountiful and rarest of medicinal properties. Eventually advanced knowledge of medical technology, techniques, magic potions and recipes from well renowned Geniuses Pharmacists and Magical Alchemists were also sought after.
Those descended from Dragons or other legendary beings however, have a high constitution that can tolerate the harsh environment of the Meridian Continent's unique cycle of life and death. In they're eyes the lesser races were merely fools, seeking only useless trivial objects and placing values to them.
Legendary artifacts and forbidden knowledge was far more tantalizing for the God level races that lay dormant around Nevalion.
Back to our Wyvern pack.
They are know as Quake Wyverns, these stubbornly proud yet peaceful beasts are like mountains the size of a double decker buses and weighing in 10 tons. They're wingspan is 60ft across, allowing them to propel their bulky posterior in the air.
Quake Wyverns aren't praised for their speed but they're incredible brute force, like their namesake Quake Wyverns dive bomb into their targets from the sky at specific altitude. Then they begin hardening their rocky adamantite scales to a more durable and efficient degree, with a pinch of Earth Manipulation then.
*BOOM!*
A single Quake Wyvern falling from 10,000ft at an accumulated speed of 244.42 m/s is enough to simulate a similar amount of joules a nuke could produce. Wiping out ill prepared kingdoms in a matter of seconds, without the after effects of radiation corroding the earth.
Earthquake's from the impact can be felt all over the continents center to its coastline, where a saying is always commented by the races throughout Meridian.
'What fool pissed off a Quake Wyvern?'
Of course for Quake Wyverns even that alone is overkill, so they only rely on their mastery over earth and their immense power in battle. In a pack they can steamroll any opposition from the lesser races armies, however a few powerful individuals both well equipped and qualified are capable of taking down a pack.
The bulkiest of the Quake Wyverns was still overlooking the fall of daylight, its light-brown rocky scales glimmered a golden hue from the orange rays. It's crest is rather crude from years of battle, its green eyes shone both wisdom and peace of mind.
Where the other three where piled beside one another sleeping near the corner of the entrance, two of the Quake Wyverns have a darker shade of brown rocky scales. As for their crest, both bare two horned like disks meeting half way forming a perfect circle.
The last Quake Wyvern bared a striking resemblance to the first but had no crest of their own.
The largest of the Wyverns suddenly stood up on all fours and turned around to head in the cave, at its entrance there was a stone wall blocking it's path. The Wyvern's eyes glint with power then as it slid its front claw forward the wall began to part ways, it then continued onward to their destination.
After several detours and a few stone walls later, the Wyverns reached a open cavern where a medium sized pool of lava gave light as well as warmth to the cave. Multiple rock shaped eggs were bundled together on a patch of land above the pool, each one seemed to be 4ft tall and there was at least 6 of them total.
Among them was a dark-brown Drackin cleaning off the black tar that had build up over time, he also checked on them thoroughly as to see if each was in good condition.
This of course was Dravein.
As Dravein was finishing up he then took notice of his unexpected guest. "You know Qwaita, you could've at least established our telepathic link spell before entering the Hatchery. Females should be more dignified and well mannered don't you think?" said Dravein with a polite smile.
The Quake Wyvern, Dravein called Qwaita, she looked at him with a scowl then a violet pentagram appeared on both their temples before fading.
'I don't see the need for one to address oneself in their own home and stop trying to convert my way of life, I'll speak the way I please and act on my own accord Dravein. Now for umpteenth time, stop bringing it up!' Qwaita rebuked.
'You already filled my daughter Qwaina's head with all those frivolous things you called 'educate', granted that made her quite gracious and polite. But in battle or shaping the land, there is no practical use for them.' Qwaita said stating her opinion.
Dravein could only shake his head in disappointment by the Wyverns response, He's been trying to convince Qwaita for decades now but she always had a rebuttal.
"Alright fine I'll stop suggesting it from now on, now I'm happy to inform you that all your eggs are healthy, properly cleaned, and rotated." Said Dravein while dusting off his toga.
"Sadly they still have a couple more years before they hatch, soon your pack's numbers will be enough to repopulate the remaining Quake Wyvern population around Meridian. I'm very glad you stuck by my side for this long old friend." Dravein said all this as he strolled to Qwaita's side.
'Naturally, I've known you're birth mother since she was merely a Hatchling. When I joined with my pack under your tribe The Mountain Fang, it was you're mother who kept the bond between us strong and it was you who continued to do the same. I see so much of her in you every day and just like her you keep bringing up your damn manners, hmph!'
Qwaita spoke with pride whilst reminiscing her times spent with Dravein's mother, before frowning again due to the one trait that both Drackin shared. She then licked the cheek of the young adult Drackin and then spoke with sincerity.
'Dravein even though you've been exiled from the tribe, my allegiance stands with you and your family, not your father. What happened long ago was unavoidable, in the end you saved many lives at the cost of other's. In the end you did what's right'
Dravein could only smile and caress Qwaita's neck as a sign of appreciation for the Wyverns words, he then motioned to her that he was going to get ready to leave for the day. Qwaita nodded in reply understanding both his gesture and his silence, her eyes glowed with power as she glanced at the corner of the cavern causing the wall to crumble.
'My pack came across a massacre yesterday near by a human settlement northwest from here, we gathered all their equipment, supplies, and personal wealth. The scorched marks and the scent left behind proves one thing for sure, Scorch Wyverns were the ones who attacked this large group.' Qwaita spoke with a wry tone.
Dravein analyzed the burn marks and shredded piece of armor, the scent permeating from them however had a rather familiar smell to it but he was unsure due to the different odors coming from the equipment.
'You can take your share as always Dravein, but if we run into a problematic situation caused by the other pack killing the human's without proper reason in our territory. Then I must warn you to be prepared and lookout for your family, call for us incase of emergency.' Said Qwaita
"Thank you once again for your contributions and the heads up about this strange encounter, I'll be back in a few days to tend to you and your pack. Take care for now, dear friend." said Dravein with grateful smile and patting Qwaita's side.
Dravein carried his loot out of the cave and said his farewells to the other three still lounging around at the entrances cliffside. He then began to traverse down the mountain using Earth Manipulation to surf his way home in time for dinner.
On the way, Dravein couldn't help but think back to the familiar scent he got off the armor. Something seemed to be troubling him, Dravein had a grim expression as he filled in the blank's.
'The scent from the Scorch Wyverns were clouded but the familiarity was quite clear and the massacre near Nesalton, where I have bad blood relations....' Dravein could already tell that a certain individual was at play here.
He immediately confirmed the pawns but the player was still at large, Dravein could only put that aside and focus on the now to prepare for the future.
As Dravein was going over how he was going to explain the events that was transpiring around them to his mate, when suddenly he heard Val'nora yell from their dwelling.
"DRAVEIN!!! HURRY, PLEASE MY LOVE HURRY!!!" Val'nora roared in distress, causing Dravein's heart to sink into the pit of his stomach. Instantly he squatted down, then lunched himself at accelerating speeds to the entrance of his home.
He then swiftly softened the earth with a wave of his claw, as he landed, not a sound nor tremor was made on impact with the ground and his back facing his home. Dravein quickly spun around darting into the cave after detecting zero enemies in the nearby woods, everything felt off as he followed the scent of his mate through the cavern, passing several rooms.
'Something's not right, I smell no one else here nor seen any signs of struggle. What exactly happened to make Nora use 'Roar' out of the blu-?!' Just as he was about to finish the sentence in his head, Dravein's train of thought came to a sudden halt and dropping the bag of loot beside him, due to the unexpected scene before him.
As he entered the room he saw that Val'nora was standing close beside their beloved egg, it was suddenly 4ft tall and 3ft wide with small glowing cracks forming on it's surface. Val'nora then noticed Dravein standing behind her dumbfounded by the sight of their Hatchlings early arrival, she instantly grabbed his wrist and brought him closer to they're egg to witness a miracle.

'Alright Nevalion, a new player has entered your home field and I'm already sensing some foul play. For now it's time to properly meet my family.' Xirius couldn't help but grin to his side which bared his new fangs.
"Hi mama and papa, it's nice to finally meet you..."
