Everyone was taken aback hearing such a thing. Who would dare talk about killing an Elder in front of the Clan Leader?
"Don't be absurd, kid! There's no way I will let you kill Elder of cl-" The Clan Leader was furious upon hearing such an outrageous request. But when he hadn't even finished his sentence, the warning bell started ringing.
DING! DING! DING!
Rung clan was on top of a Mountain. This mountain wasn't rocky but had fertile soil and forests. A river flowed from the middle of the Mountain to the bottom and flowed south. One side of the mountain was covered in Forest while the other side was foggy all year round with many wild beasts living there. Rung Clan has explored little of the foggy area of the mountain, or you could say they dared not. What if a Hundred Thousand or Million Beast King was there, and they accidentally provoked it? Their clan would be completely destroyed.
According to the record in the clan, the area didn't use to be foggy, but one-day people heard a loud roar coming from the other side, and it was foggy when they came to see it. Since then, this mountain was named to be Half-Fogged Mountain. All the beasts migrated to another side of the mountain, and now there were only trees and herbs in the forest with some ordinary Wild Beasts. Because of a large number of Wild Beasts, all wild beasts can't get sufficient resources, so they attack the Rung clan on hopes of getting resources.
But they seem to be incapable of going to another side of the mountain as if there was some kind of barrier preventing them from. The Mana spring in the forest side of the mountain was also dried up when the fog was formed, so the Rung Clan has no options but to stay on top of the mountain and be on guard against the sudden assault of Wild Beasts.
With a flash of a black light, a man wearing a plain white mask and black robe, appeared a fraction of a second before bell started ringing and whispered something.
Rung Dun started furrowing his brows after listening to the man.
"Listen, all the elders and my fellow clansmen, there is a sudden wolf tide, and the highest-ranked wolf is reported to be a Thousand Timber Wolf King! Those above Magic Acolyte are required to come and defend against this Wolf Tide. This matter here shall be settled after the wolf tide is dealt with." His voice was amplified using magic, but it wasn't Rung Dun who applied the magic, it was the Head Elder, Rung Thun beside him, who amplified it.
Like how mages were divided into stages, Magic Acolyte, Adept Mage, Junior Mage, Intermediate Mage, Senior Mage, Mage Monarch and so on increasingly, wild beasts were also divided into stages.
The Thousand Timber Wolf King is equivalent to Intermediate Mage in terms of magical ability. Most mages didn't have a strong body. But Wild Beasts have higher physical strength. Therefore, only some mages of the same stages could defeat the wild beast of the same level. Ordinary Wild Beasts would just kill magic Acolytes if they went to battle, so only mages above Magic Acolyte could take part in the battle. Only Body Refinement Mages could compete with wild beasts in terms of physical ability but fall out on magic spells.
Body Refinement Mages can only cast spells on their body to physically enhance it, but they couldn't cast any other offensive or long-range magic spells and had to fight on close combat. But even with high physical capabilities, they can't defeat the wild beasts because wild beasts have not only high physical prowess but also the ability to use spells.
Body Refinement mages flourished during a certain period of Ancient Antiquity Era. Body Refinement Mages would have to do intensive physical exercise since a young age to make their body sturdy and capable of handling the buffs cast upon their body. It also consumed huge resources and self-buff spells, which were practically extinct with only some remnant and incomplete spells. So Body Refinement Mages were very rare. Only some top clans could nurture one or two of such mages.
Mages required Mana Stones and Mana Spring to cultivate. The mana in the air is very impure and diluted. So mages could only get a little pure mana after absorbing from the air. So they use Mana Stone which contains pure crystallized mana to cultivate, and mana spring is a water body that produces these mana stones. Any clan needs such magic spring to survive in this world. Wild Beasts also need it, so everyone fights for their survival, Humans fight Humans, Humans fight Wild Beasts, Wild Beasts fight Wild Beasts.
The only Senior Mage in Rung Clan is the Clan Leader, Rung Dun. All other elders were Intermediate Mage with the exception of the Fourth elder, Rung Sain, Kans's Third Uncle. He could only become an Elder because he supported the current Clan Leader when he was fighting for the Clan Leader position. So, he didn't have much authority among the Elder Circle.
All the Clan Members above Magic Acolyte followed the lead of the Elders and Clan Leader into the battle. Magic Acolytes were tasked with helping in logistics. In a matter of a second, the area around Mizar became empty.
'I was only asking for the lives of servants, but it seems now I can complete the task of the system in this chaos.' Mizar thought as he looked toward the tall earth wall erected to block the wild beasts. The earth wall was broken every time a beast tide occurred, but it could give some time to prepare for the battle, so the Clan kept rebuilding it. The optimal time for Mizar to strike would be when everyone was busy fighting the Wild Beasts.
Many Servants were hiding because they knew they would be used as cannon fodder to stall the time in beast tides. Those servants of the Fourth Elder were also hiding. Mizar searched everywhere but couldn't find them. A memory emerged in his mind, and Mizar began walking like he already found them.
Mizar walked for about 10 minutes before finally getting in front of the wasteland a.k.a. his house. Mizar remembered a scene where some servants came to Kans's house and began chatting with him. He also remembered that most of the time they came there would to sounds of people screaming, roars of beasts, etc. When he went inside, he saw those servants sitting at a corner with an ashen expression.
Seeing Mizar, they began begging, "Please don't take me into the battle I give you everything that I have!" Then they began taking out a quarter piece and 2 whole Mana Stone, some herbs and other miscellaneous items. Among the items, they took out; there was a rusted dagger. He took all the items along with the pouch and kept the dagger under his sleeve.
"Stand up!" Mizar shouted.
"B-But we gave you all the items we had, you aren't keeping your promise!" One of the servants was feeling helpless.
Mizar pointed at the opposite corner and said," Go over there."
The servants were relieved and went past Mizar to the opposite corner of the room when Mizar slashed the throat of one servant. The other servant reacted quickly and was about to swing his fist after turning around, but that fist fell halfway without reaching its target, and the servant fell on his back with the dagger on top of his heart. This all happened within seconds.
System's Notification rang, and a panel appeared in front of Mizar.

A flow of mana went through his body which made him feel like he returned to his mother's womb. It was warm and comfortable. It lasted for a few seconds, but the comfortable feeling still lingered. "Wow, my wounds all healed up!" Mizar was amazed at the system. In his previous life, even a Spirit Mage, which was roughly equal to Middle Stage Healing Mage in this world couldn't possibly heal a person this fast.

'System told me, I could store objects in the Inventory, let's see' Mizar thought as he did as the system told. He said inventory in his head and moved his hand forward. He felt like his hand went into some kind of hole, half his hand was gone, but he could still feel it. He loosened his grip on the pouch, and the pouch started going away from his hand. A panel appeared in front of him with many lines going horizontally and vertically to finally form a grid-like thing.
Inventory:
Pouch (Contains: Full Mana Stones*2, Quarter mana stone*1, Soul Grass*2...)
