In a dense forest, a Wild Boar was charging through the trees breaking them down. Its target was the boy running in front of him. The boy was Mizar. Mizar slowed down gradually, and the boar got near him. After coming near a tree with a cross mark scratched on it, he stopped.
Seeing that Mizar wasn't running anymore, the wild boar started charging towards him enthusiastically.
Just when the boar was about 4 metres away from crashing into Mizar, a grey boar with a grey mist coming out of its body, crashed into the boar that was chasing Mizar.
The boar that was attacked was sent flying diagonally about 2 metres. Skeletons came from behind a rock that was nearby and pierced the dagger into the skull of the boar.
[Killed a boar EXP+300]
'Now I only need about 2500 Exp to level up,' It has been 4 months since the Wolf Tide. Since there wasn't any source of Exp, he tried hunting some wild animals in the non-foggy part of the forest. But because there were very few numbers of wild animals, he couldn't hunt as he wished. One could only hunt a certain number of wild animals monthly; otherwise, there would be a massive food shortage in the clan.
Although he couldn't raise his Exp, he cultivated and raised the level of his aperture. It was now at Upper Stage Magic Acolyte. He also did some exercise which caused his strength and agility to go up a point. The Masteries of different skills also went up. Moonlight Blade, Dagger arts and endurance were on the verge of levelling up, but masteries of main class skills weren't that high.
Today he was planning on doing something big. He would use Summoner's control skill to see what was in the fog. He revived the dead boar. The wounds on its body and skull were patched up by the grey gas, and grey mist was coming out from its body. This was his fighting style. He aggroed the boar and lured it into his traps and killing it using his summons, again reviving the dead boar and doing the same thing.
Unfortunately, he had no way to store the revived undead, so he had no choice but to let them go. Therefore, he sold their body to get mana stones. He has hunted about 70 wild boars and other animals. A fully grown wild boar would cost from 1 to 2 mana stones, and by selling them, he now has about 120 mana stones.
The fog in Half-fogged Mountain was rigid. It didn't move and was always fixed, even if someone stepped into the fog, it wouldn't even show the tiniest ripple. Mizar was standing in front of them right now. He first sent a skeleton into the fog and used the Summoner's Control Skill. The skeleton kept walking according to Mizar's order, and information picked up by the senses of the skeleton was sent to his brain.
The skeleton slowly walked ahead for about 10 minutes when Mizar felt a stinging sensation in his fingers. The stinging sensation slowly became stronger as it started covering his whole arm and whole body. The last thing he saw was a melted skeleton on the ground. Mizar came to his senses. He was still standing in front of the fog. The stinging sensation disappeared when he left the skeleton.
'What type of fog is this that caused the whole skeletons to melt? But how come that Wild Beasts are fine inside? Should I try it with the boar?' Mizar didn't give up and decided to send the boar in.
The stinging sensation didn't come, but his vision slowly blurred, and the information relayed to his brain was gradually getting reduced. But the last thing he saw was astonishing. He imagined that everything would be foggy inside, but it was completely different. Everything was colourful, green trees, wild beasts, waterfalls, different kinds of rare herbs, refinement materials. The mountain was curved inside, and it was like a huge valley with fog surrounding it from all sides and at the centre was a floating landmass of about 100-metre square and at the top of the floating landmass was a huge white light that was like the Sun of this world. It was also the source of the fog.
When he came to his sense, he saw a grey gas getting ejected out of the fog. He hurriedly got away from there because the dead boar was probably lying at the valley and Wild Beasts inside the fog may attack him when they come searching for more food. The fog restricted the movement of Wild Beasts, but they could still move around 1-2 km around the fog. Otherwise, they couldn't have attacked the clan.
After he got far away enough, he dissolved the grey mist from the body of the wild boar and went up to the clan to sell it. In the market, he heard many people discussing a merchant caravan coming to the clan to sell some goods. This was also Mizar's goal for saving mana stones. Merchants travel all year long from one place to another selling and buying stuff, and it was the time of the year for merchant caravan to arrive in the Rung Clan.
In this period of four months, the clan inquired Mizar about his sudden increase in cultivation, and he got out of it by saying that he found inheritance of an Adept Mage and he showed his Moonlight Blade saying that it was the only spell he found in there. Of course, he didn't tell them about his necromancy magic or the system. He also got permission to hunt in the forest, but between all this, there was one person who was paying special attention to Mizar. It was the Fourth Elder's son, Rung Qazi. He didn't think it was coincident that his father died the day he had a feud against Mizar. He was a very cautious person and underestimated nobody his whole life. He was one of the reasons that his progress was slow. He always monitored Mizar for a whole two months, and after not finding anything abnormal, he gradually started focusing on others.
The clan also gifted him a relevant skill, a low-level skill and some mana stones on becoming a mage. The skill that they gave him was a defensive skill named Moonlight Aura.
Just like the name suggests, this skill formed an aura of moonlight around the body to protect the user. It has been very helpful for him. He levelled it up to level 4 after continuously using it for 4 months. It was very easy to level it up. He just had to continuously activate it, and it would increase its mastery, it was slow, but when he was getting hit, it would level up quick. By getting hit, he could consecutively level up Endurance and Moonlight Aura.
When he got the scroll on how to practice the magic, a system notification popped up asking him if he wanted to learn the skill. After he pressed yes, the book disintegrated, and different memories of skills kept pouring into his mind. It was like when he first came to this world, but this feeling was much more refreshing and pleasureful than that.
After selling the boar for the price of 2 mana stones, he went into his house. Everything was the same except for a bed, a new door and a new blanket. There was a small mound in front of this house. If you looked closely you could see something white. It was a skeleton. Mizar put it there for surveillance and for a surprise attack. If he heard something suspicious, he would check it through the skeleton. It also helped him train in multitasking and increasing mastery of the skill.
Inside his aperture, the mana slowly rose up and down like waves on the ocean. The waves then hit at the sides of aperture like waves of ocean hit rocks on the shore. By hitting it again and again the walls of the aperture, the walls of aperture would be more durable, which could store higher quality of mana.
After 2 hours of cultivation, the cultivation of his aperture finally went up to Peak stage Magic Acolyte. The mana inside was bright scarlet. As the small realms increase the mana also becomes brighter and brighter and the colour of mana changes when he breakthroughs and ascends to upper aperture.
After that, he started summoning and sending the skeletons back. After doing that for about 3 hours, it was already midnight. He went to sleep and woke up at sunrise.
After waking up, he went down into the forest and tied a trunk of tree on his waist using a rope sewn using vines of trees. It was his strength raising training.
After running for about 5 hours, a system notification popped up.
[Strength stat capped. To raise strength stat, please raise vitality first.]
This wasn't the first time he got this message. It was the third time he got it. His idea was to stack these strengths and he only had to increase his vitality, sense and intelligence. After doing these exercises there was now a new thing in status window and that was fatigue. If the fatigue was 100 or above, Mizar couldn't even move a muscle. But by doing exercises regularly he could reduce the rate of increment of fatigue.
