Mizar looked at himself on the mirror. His originally malnourished and shrivelled body was now looked healthy. He felt as if his body was sturdy than before. His pale face had some colour to it now. Even though the number on the stats didn't increase, he felt like he could exert more strength now. He could also sense tiniest insects moving near him. His battle prowess increased than before but most importantly he was officially a mage now.
Mizar was an Astral Mage in his previous life, to be more specific he was a Moon Astral Mage. Mages on higher could use the power of all, The Sun, Stars and Moon. Astral Mages could use a portion of the power of heavenly bodies. Some were adept at using the power of only one where some could use the power of two heavenly bodies and some geniuses could also use the power of all three.
Anyway, Mizar wasn't such genius, he wasn't even an average, he only had a low aptitude with a natural attribute in Moon Astral Magic. He couldn't progress much due to his low aptitude and suppression of his stepfather, so he only knew some low-level magic.
He tried using his Astral Magic. Although it was day, you could see the faint moon in the sky. Some Moonlight was attracted and gathering on his palm. If it was at night, you could see the moonlight, but now the sun still had some time before it set behind some mountains thousands of feet away. It was basically invisible to the naked eye, but you could feel the magical fluctuations on his palm.
The moonlight formed a crescent shape on his palm. This spell was named Moonlight Blade. The moonlight would form a sharp crescent blade on palm and you could attack using the crescent blade. It took moonlight and Mana to make the blade.
This spell used mana from the aperture, but he didn't have one in this body. In his previous world, elders of the clan would use the technique to awaken the aperture of the junior generation. They would take out a bucket of Mana from mana spring using the special technique as it would just evaporate into the surrounding if it was taken out without using the right methods. Children of Elders and Leader would get to bathe in that bucket of Mana. You would have to stand on the bucket and Elders would perform the technique. The Mana would then get sucked into the body of the person standing on the bucket, and the mana on the bucket would decrease a little.
Mizar's father was still alive during the awakening ceremony but he was found to be a low aptitude it was an embarrassment for both his father and him. His father's authority also decreased as Mizar couldn't become a Clan Leader with that aptitude. The Clan Leader didn't have any heir to give the position of Clan Leader to, as Mizar was his only son. Mizar was named after a star and coincidence or not, he awakened as an Astral Mage.
After Mizar used the Moonlight Blade, a System notification popped up.

'I can have two classes?! It certainly is funny, a trash in previous life has now become a Dual Mage! I must make most out of this life and strive for the Ultimate Destination, the Immortality.' Mizar resolved in his heart.
"Yes," Mizar replied to the System in an energetic voice.

'Hmm! Is it just a coincidence that my powers match with the name of the System?' Mizar was surprised to see the connection, but he ultimately brushed it as a coincidence. 'My Moonlight Blade is probably Lvl.5 because I had used it often in my previous and experienced fighting with it.'
Faint cries of Humans with Roars of Beasts echoed through his empty rooms. Mizar turned his head towards the door and squinted his eyes as if he could see the battle.
'What a perfect opportunity! I can test the necromancy skill, eliminate a threat and complete the task given by the system. It was like hitting three birds with one stone.' Mizar thought of Kans's Third Uncle.
He walked out of his house towards the battlefield. Magic Acolytes were running here and there, moving injured people and doing miscellaneous tasks. The wall was already broken by the wolves. The mana in the surrounding was gradually decreasing as the battle went on. That's why High-level Mages rarely battled because the surrounding mana wouldn't be enough even for one spell. Even if they battled, they would use low level spells, but it would be pointless as such a low level spells couldn't harm them. The depleted mana would slowly recover over time if there is a mana spring nearby otherwise mana from the would flow from the surrounding and the area around the battlefield would have less mana density.
The wolves would have an advantage after mana was depleted but Beasts were Beasts after all and these low level beasts didn't have enough intelligence and would retreat after they feel like they can't defeat opponent.
"Hey, quit walking leisurely and help me carry this box of potions!" A Mid Stage Magic Acolyte saw Mizar walking leisurely while others were working and shouted at him.
"Okay, Sure." Mizar was happy that he called him, otherwise, he would have to think of other reason for going to the front-lines of the battlefield with his position.
Mizar carried two boxes made of wood stacked vertically. If it was before with his malnourished body, he could barely lift the boxes, but now it wasn't too difficult for him to lift it.
The Thousand Timber Wolf King Had yet to make its move and so had the Clan Leader. If the Clan Leader started going all out, the depletion of mana would be much faster and the wolf group wouldn't be reduced much and it would be disadvantageous for them. There was only one mana spring, and the recovery of mana wouldn't be fast.
The Intermediate Mages were also using Junior Mage level spells, which resulted in the fight being much longer. They continuously killed low levelled wolves so they could reduce the morale of wolves.
Kans's Third Uncle, Rung Sain, was fighting with wolves using his wind magic. He was in charge of the west side of the battlefield as the concentration of wolves was lower. He was casting his wind spells, Adept Mages would stall for the time so that Rung Sain could finish his chanting.
Coincidentally, Mizar was carrying the boxes to the west side. Those boxes contained some healing potions, explosive potions and power increment potions. Rung Sain finished casting his spell. A slightly big tornado swept through the battlefield, killing many wolves. When he was ready to cast his next spell, he saw Mizar through the corner of his eyes and his crystal clear low stage Magic Acolyte aura. He was surprised to see that the thin and weak Mortal was now a low stage Magic Acolyte. He could only investigate it after the battle was over, so he put the matter behind his head and started casting his spell.
Mizar went into a remote corner and inside a house. The houses near the walls were emptied and used as temporary bases. He went to one of the houses. There was someone laying on the mattress on the floor. He hit him on back of his neck and locked the door.
"Summon Skeleton" Mizar activated his skill.
Space was twisted and two skeletons as tall as Mizar emerged from the twisted spell and established some kind of connection with his mind. He felt like he could make them do whatever he thinks.
"Summon Skeleton" Mizar activated the skill again.
[Maximum number of skeletons that can be summoned now is 2]
System's notification popped up.The MP required to summon and sustain a skeleton was 5 and Mizar could only channel 10 MP.
"Run" Both of the skeletons started running around the house. "Stop" Both skeletons stopped running.
'Run' Mizar said in his mind as he thought about only a single skeleton. One skeleton started running and the other just stood there.
"Deactivate Summon" The space twisted again, and both skeletons disappeared into it.
Mizar came out of the house and watched the battle leaning against the wall of the house. He was looking for some opportunity to kill Rung Sain. He stood up and walked towards the house where potions were kept and went inside. There were some empty potion bottles on the floor and there was no one in the house. It was a two-storey house with two rooms on each floor. There was a hallway with two rooms at two sides of the hallway and at the end of the hallway, there were stairs going up. The upper storey was the same as below, but there were not any potions on the upper floor.
He went down and stored some potions in his inventory. One room was empty whereas there were potions in another room with the door open. The room without potions had a good deal of furniture. He summoned the skeletons and gave one of the skeleton the rusted dagger and ordered them to hide in the room. He slightly closed the door of room and went out of the house.
He went far from the house which kept potions keeping his vision focused on the house. His plan was simple, that was to wait for when Rung Sain to come to take the potions and order his skeletons to strike him while he had his guard down.
The Sun set behind the mountain and stars started shining, but the battle was still going on. Mizar was ordered a few times to do some tasks but his sight was still within the area of the house. Rung Sain never came to take the potions and always sent someone to fetch the potions. The battle was reaching climax, many people were exhausted and were resting and as a result, Rung Sain didn't have a choice but to fetch the potions himself.
Finally, the perseverance of Mizar paid off. Rung Sain went inside the room and began drinking and putting potions in his pocket. The skeletons snuck up from the behind and struck Rung Sain from the behind on his neck. Rung Sain could only scream a little before dying.
