Chapter 33 - Bowling

Chapter 33

As the dream faded from my mind, I fell into the book, the fantasy world sucked me in for a few hours when that happens, the real world disappeared.

I didn't realize how long I had been reading until Adam burst into my room and bellyflopped on top of me. Ow, my ribs.

I grunted, "Adam, get off me, your breaking my ribs."

Adam poked my cheek, "Did you have breakfast yet, or do you want to have it at the bowling alley? It is 2:20 right now."

I poked him back, "I'll eat at the bowling alley. Now get off of me."

Adam poked my cheek again, "Stop telling me what to do, I'm older than you, and thus, I'm your big brother or your big sister."

I sighed, "Adam, can you PLEASE get off me? You are crushing my lungs."

Adam sighed, he got off of me, "Fine, Thomas will be here in 10 minutes to drive us to the bowling alley." He skipped out of my room.

I got up and stretched, wow, I heard like 12 bones crack. I got out of my room, I went to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water.

I spaced out while I was sipping the water, the dream I had last night slipped into my mind, why did I dream about that?

I flashed back to the events of the dream and I shivered, all that blood, I sighed. Ugh, the dream was getting to me.

I felt something poke my cheek, I opened my eyes, Adam was standing in front of me, "Hello? Hello? Anyone in there? Avery, did you not hear me? I said, Thomas is here, come on, let's go."

I sighed, pushing Adam's face away with the palm of my hand, "Okay, let's go."

Adam puffed out his cheeks, he blew the air out after a few seconds, grabbing my sleeve, dragging me to the door, "Let's go already, hurry up."

I stumbled after him, "Okay, okay, no need to dislocate my arm, Adam."

Adam dropped my arm, turning around to face me, "Then hurry up! You are so slow. We're going to be late." He whirled back around and stalked toward the car.

I sighed, following Adam, I opened the car door and slid inside, I greeted Thomas and then asked Adam, "Why did you want to go bowling with us? Do you have your friends?"

Adam sighed, "My friends are still resting from their vacations with their family. So there is nothing for me to do, I was bored."

I raised my eyebrows, "Why don't you just go to the mall or something?"

Adam rolled his eyes, "Going to the mall by yourself is sooooo boring. It is even more boring than going with you, surprisingly."

I sighed, "Okay, whatever." I looked over at him, "Hey Adam, how did you even convince Mark to let you come?"

Adam shrugged, "I just texted a lot, begging him to let me come."

I raised my eyebrows, "How much is a lot?"

Adam pulled out his phone and showed me all his texts with Mark, wow, poor Mark, there were so many pleas I was wondering when it would end.

But after another 10 seconds or so of scrolling I got to the bottom where Mark had finally given in, telling Adam, and I quote, Fine, fine, okay, you can come, too. And Adam's response, Great, thanks.

I sighed, "So you annoyed him until he agreed?"

Adam grinned, "Yep, it always works on you so I tried it with Mark. Hehehehe."

I shook my head, "You are so weird."

Adam rolled his eyes, "Whatever, it works right?"

I sighed, "Yep, fine, whatever."

After a few minutes, we arrived at the bowling alley, I waved to Thomas, he smiled and nodded, waving back, he drove away.

Adam grabbed my hand, "Come on, let's go inside, I want to see what it looks like."

My stomach rumbled, it seemed to agree, "Yep, let's go."

Adam dragged me in, he was practically vibrating with how excited he was, you would think it was his first time being in a bowling alley.

I asked, "Adam, why are you so excited?"

He turned toward me, "Because I've never been to a public one, I've only been to the one in my family's summer vacation house."

I stared at him, just how rich was his family to have a summer vacation house with a bowling alley?

Adam was still holding my hand skipping to the line, I saw the back of Mark's head, waved at him right as he turned around, he smiled, walking over to us, "Hey Adam, hay Avery, long time no see."

I smiled, "Hey dude, good to see you again, I missed you." Wait, do guys say I miss you to each other? Oh well, Mark didn't seem to notice it.

He just smiled and nodded, "Yeah man, missed you too. I got a reservation, it is number 5. It's over there." He paused, "Whoops, forgot about the shoes

We followed him to the shoe choosing machine thing, we entered in our shoe size and the shoes slid out, we sprayed them again with bacteria-killing spray. We put them on and went to the spot Mark got for us.

We waited a few minutes for Shane, Alex, and William to come, I was surprised when Alex got here there weren't a flock of women following behind him, when they got here we waved to them, Alex and Shane tackled me into a hug. Shane, because he most likely just wanted to tackle me, Alex, because he is Alex, no other explanation other than that.

Alex looked over at Adam, "Who is she? Is she your sister?"

I nodded, "Yep, she's my twin sister, Avery. Avery, this is Alex, Alex, this is Avery."

Alex shook hands with Avery, "Hi, I'm Alexander Cooper, but you can call me Alex."

Adam smiled, "Hi Alex, I know, your famous, hehehe, I'm Avery Darkwaters."

They got along pretty well, my stomach growled again, I got up, "I'm going to go get some food, anyone wants to come with me?"

Alex and Shane got up, "Let's go, man, I want food."

Alex smiled, "I want some food too, I'm hungry."

Mark said, "We'll put in you guyses names for you, while you get your food."

I nodded, "Okay, we'll be back in a few minutes, get started without us."

We went to the food area, we ordered some fries and burgers, by the time we brought them back to Adam, Mark, and William it was Adam's turn.

We watched as he got a spare.

Next was Alex, he did elegant looking swoop movements, and got a strike.

Shane did funny looking movements and got a spare, and I...got a gutter.

Turns out I was pretty bad at bowling, but it was fun, messing around and having fun with my friends.

By the time we were finished playing, my arm was sore. We said our goodbyes and Adam texted Thomas to pick us up.

When we arrived home I took a shower and ate dinner with Adam. After that, I went to bed and read for a few hours, before falling asleep.

And thus, ended my day of fun.
