Chapter 38
This chapter will be in Adam's perspective because...why not:
I got up stretching, sigh, today's the day I'm switching schools with Avery, ugh, I got out of my bed, I went into Avery's room, I took the Princeton High uniform from her vanity table and went back to my room, I slipped it on and looked at myself in the mirror. I sighed, I would rather be in my wig and the Evergreen Valley High girls uniform.
I sighed, I walked into Avery's room and, I said, "Wake up!" Avery just rolled away a little, I sighed.
I reached over and pinched her cheek, she swatted my hand, I pinched a little harder, Avery smacked my hand, she slapped my hand and asked, "What? Why are you pinching my cheek?"
I sighed, putting my hands on my waist, "Get up! You have to do your makeup. Hurry up and get to my room. I need to do your makeup and put on your wig for you."
Avery sighed and rolled over, okay, she was awake, I walked out of Avery's room, I went back to mine to prepare the things I needed to transform Avery into me.
When I got the makeup and wig out, Avery walked into my room, I commanded her, "Sit."
She sat down sighing, "Why do I need makeup? Isn't it just going to be sweated off after PE, or get ruined?"
I rolled my eyes, "I only put on makeup because I feel better with it on, it is like a shield."
She furrowed her eyebrows, asking me, "Why would you need a shield?"
I sighed, explaining to her, "Because I get anxious and insecure sometimes without it on."
She raised her eyebrows at me, "You? Insecure? Uh, okay then."
I continued, I applied makeup to Avery's face, it took almost an hour to transform Avery into my fabulous self. When I was done Avery looked so much better than she ever does in those boy clothes of hers.
We quickly ate breakfast, on the car ride to Princeton High, my stomach was full of butterflies, what if I mess it up? What do I do if I can't act like I'm always obsessed with food? What do I do then?
When we got to Princeton high, I waved to Adam and Thomas, I was so nervous until I realized that I was a boy, so I have nothing to worry about and that I have been around Avery long enough to be able to adopt her manner and personality easily enough. I took a calming deep breath and let it out.
I took one step into Princeton High and almost fainted, I shook myself, it's fine, it's going to be fine, you look just like Avery, and you can act like her too, I straightened myself and walked into the school, I stepped inside and immediately walked to Avery's locker, I dialed in the code and put the textbooks into it.
I hurried to Avery's first period, Avery said she sits next to Mark every day, I slid into my seat next to Mark.
Mark smiled, "Hi, Adam.
I smiled back, "Hey, Mark."
Mark asked, "How did you sleep? You look a little tired today."
I smiled, crap, I was so nervous last night, I barely slept for 5 hours, "I didn't sleep very well."
Mark went on for about 5 minutes about how to sleep better, he told me that sleeping at the same time every night will help, he also listed other ways of how to get better sleep.
I listened for a few more minutes until the bell rang, signaling class was beginning.
All through the 1st and 2nd period, everything was fine, until break, the guy called Darius walked up to me, "Adam, have you thought about what I said yesterday?"
I sighed, "Your Darius right? And yes, yes I have. I am ready to do anything to prove I'm actually a boy."
Darius grinned, "Great, take off your shirt and your pants, that is the best and easiest way to tell if you are a guy."
I shook my head, "I'll take off my shirt, but I draw the line at pants." No way in hell am I taking off my pants in front of him.
Darius sighed, "Well then, get on with it, take off your shirt and let me see if you are really a boy."
I sighed and pulled my shirt over my head, "There, here is your proof that I am a guy, satisfied?"
Darius sighed, "I suppose I owe you an apology then, Adam, I am truly sorry for thinking you are a girl instead of believing you."
I shrugged, "Yeah, whatever. It's fine, but next time, don't gender assume someone when you don't have proof of it."
The rest of the day went okay, I texted with Avery before going to Martial Arts Club, it was so not fair, she got to go shopping with the girls while I have to stay here and go to the Martial Arts Club (inserts crying emoji here).
When I walked into the Martial Arts Club, obviously Avery was much better than me so I had to lie as she told me to, saying I wasn't feeling very well when Alex asked to spar practice with me. Luckily, I was better than the people who asked me for advice on how to position their arms and legs and stuff like that.
The club went on, it wasn't horrible, it was okay, but by the time the club was over I was tired, I wasn't able to do anything like talk about fashion, nails, and other girly stuff with my friends, sigh.
Thomas was there to pick me up when I walked out of the school, I climbed into the car, "Hi, Thomas, can we go home? I'm tired, and a little depressed over the fact Avery is shopping with my friends."
Thomas laughed softly, "Alright, Sir."
When we made it home, I said bye to Thomas and dragged myself into the apartment, and slouched down onto the couch, I was watching TV when Avery came home.
She asked me, "So? How did practice go? Is Darius off our backs?"
I sighed, "Practice went fine, Darius has given up for now." He even apologized.
She smiled, "That's good, I bought some clothes from the shopping trip, I made sure to use under 60 dollars."
I immediately perked up, getting excited she bought something from the mall, "Really? What did you get? You don't need to worry about the cost."
She handed me the shopping bag, "A few shirts and jeans."
I looked through the bag, sighing I said to her, "At least you only bought one big ugly sweater this time."
She glared, "They aren't ugly, they are comfy and nice."
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever you say, Avery." She will never learn about fashion and how to show off her curves, she doesn't have very many curves, to begin with.
We ordered food and watched some TV, and then I took a shower and brushed my teeth after Avery did. She said good night to me, I went to bed after saying good night back to her, I crawled under the blankets and closed the light, I fell asleep shortly after.
And thus, ended my day.
