"Leave. Now."
Tears welled in my eyes. I ran to my room and grabbed a backpack and a duffel bag. I dump all my school supplies out since I won't be needing them anymore. I angrily stuff clothes, toiletries, and what little money I have into my backpack. How could I have been so stupid? Stupid stupid stupid stupid! I should have known this would happen... Look at me now. I grab a blanket, pillow, and any food I can find in my room. I look around one more time, at the place that was my home and my prison all at once. I wipe the tears from my eyes and leave my room. I make eye contact with my mom. I hope it's the last time I ever have to see her. My dad is standing off to the side. He looks angry and disappointed all at once. I look away and open the door, it's all too much to handle.
"Don't come back unless you're gonna be the son you're meant to be." my mom says to me.
"Well," I say. "I guess I won't be back."
and with that, I leave forever
