June sat in the quiet, her head resting between her hands. She just looked into the void. The day was over and she felt the need to rest. She was sitting in her office with no one but her thoughts.
She was doing more than she could, more than she can bear. But she couldn't stop now, she couldn't get tired that fast. She wasn't a child after all.
She leaned back in her chair and looked around her. Nothing was missing from her life. To the people. But for her, she lost many things. Things that she can never have back.
She felt her eyes water. She closed her eyes allowing the tears to roll freely. She didn't sob or whine. She just let them fall silently.
She had to stay strong. Sometimes your destiny does not only depend on you and she knew that.
She wiped her tears and got up from her chair. She walked around searching for someone.
"No one would be there, it's twelve"
She stopped at Alexander's office. One of the biggest in the firm. She never understood why he wanted to work here. He belonged to a family well established in the tech industry, he could've taken easily a position higher than that of a senior advisor but he still chose to work here.
June looked at the light coming from under the door. He was there.
What part I'm leaving doesn't he understand.
June knocked the door.
"Get in"
June stepped in and saw Alexander for the first in weeks. He was sitting with his legs crossed with a laptop in his lap.
"I told you to leave"
Alexander looked up from the screen for a second before continuing his work.
June laughed, shaking her head at his acts "what is it ? You don't like it ?"
"Do you want me to make you a place ?" He said while placing his laptop away and eyeing his lap, ignoring her question.
June's blood was boiling. She walked slowly towards him, she placed her knee between his spread thighs. She cupped his face and was only mere inches away from his face . Anger blinded her, "don't make me hurt you, Alex"
Alex's once smirk became a frown. He wanted to kiss her. "Are- yo-can you do this in bed ?" He whispered.
"Do you want to see?"
