Act: 22
Her hand protruded out the center of his chest. Blood spilled intensely from the back and front alongside staining her black coat, now tainted red. His eyes showed the amount of pain he felt, nothing but a gasp of air was all he could do. Saliva mixed with his blood spat out. After a few seconds of waiting, she whipped her arm back removing it from his chest allowing the current flow of blood to worsen than before, spilling out like a waterfall. His head dropped back and mouth wide open, tossing his light-weight body aside over to the left and into another tree, a quiet yet subtle thud was made from his body making contact and hitting the grass.
A pitiful look was left on her face in disgrace at the weakness he'd displayed.
"If the Master was here... Ugh. I feel disgusted with this-"
She points her finger in his direction even though he couldn't see it or process anything at that moment.
"The Master was wrong about yo-"
*Smack*
Kyoko slowly walked up, backhanding her across the face, stopping Yumi from going any further with her sentence.
"Don't you dare speak about the Master that way! Do I make myself clear? I am confused as to why I shouldn't just kill you or immobilize you forever, right here and now in front of that boy? I told you clear as day not to hurt him any further and seeing that you refused to listen."
*Sigh*
"How can I explain this? He might already be dead and if that turns out to be the case, that will confirm my decision in me in killing you, understand."
Yumi stood frozen puzzled by what she witnessed, watching Kyoko slowly pass her and walk over to Shizu's seeming dead body. Kneeling pushing him to the left onto his pool of blood that continued to spew. She got a feel on his neck to make sure that he still happened to be alive. Pressing down firmly she was able to faintly feel a pulse indicating that he still had been holding onto his fragile life.
"What... do... you... want... kill... me... if-"
*Cough*
"I... can't... even... feel..."
"Don't worry we won't hurt you. I won't have her attack you anymore. Well, Yumi. Aren't you lucky this boy is still alive. Now, what to do. I can't have him die right now; my Star would've worked but It's far too soon to show him anything that we "higher-ups" have to offer. "
*Tch*
"Oh, whatever. Higher-ups my ass! I bet I could beat your ass any day, even the others, I'd like to say I'm the stronger one here."
"Sure sure. Save that energy for another day, Yumi. I guess this time I'll have no choice but to show off one of my abilities. It's not like he's fully conscious anyways."
"Hourglass-V Forging Light."
A clear yellowish Star hovered over the right side of her palm appearing and then disappearing into a mist. In place of the Star was a large hourglass, a perfect fit for her palm. Inside the hourglass contained lime-colored sand that slowly poured down to the base.
"What a waste of energy this is."
Kyoko rotated her hand so that it had been hovering over the top of the hourglass. Pushing her hand down into it triggered the effect. Materializing in front of Shizu's chest was a small hourglass that contained the same green sand. The sand slowly began to emit out of the glass creating a flow that surrounded the entire wound.
Within a few seconds, the energy had spiraled around much quicker pressing into his body. The hole in his stomach started to build itself back flesh by flesh until it fully covered up.
*Snap*
As Kyoko snapped her finger, the monsters placed around the area popped, disappearing out of thin air.
"That should do the trick, the rest he can recover on his own. This was supposed to be an observation mission, but- you went ahead and almost messed everything up, never again do I want you to take actions like this unless it's considered necessary."
Yumi looked away from Kyoko pouting as she was being scolded.
"Hphm. Removing the monsters wasn't needed."
"Having him struggle more- is not vital. Enough time has been spent here, we will take our leave now, understand Yumi."
"Like I have a say in the matter to anything you want me to do. Miss "Higher up"."
*Voowsh*
Kyoko and Yumi vanished within the darkness leaving Shizu unconscious in his own puddle of blood.
- - - -
The man in the dark robe stood over his body and with any normal thought, you would have assumed he'd be dead.
"Oh. You're not dead yet? I'm quite surprised you're even alive. It seems that Hano is quite adamant about your death, but I'd rather like to see it play out a bit further."
Saburo extended his arm out, placing his hand on Taku's chest.
"I hope you don't turn out to be a dud. I see that you have something which can be useful for me. After all, it's fair everyone seems to be having their own favorite individual, so why can't I?"
*Fssszss*
A faint dark blue of energy emits from Saburo's fingertips. Streaming into and around the hole that had been created. The energy slowly covered up the hole in his chest like a cushion, while healing him in the process.
*Vroom*
"Hehe. Now we just wait patiently-"
*Slam*
"Hm?"
Saburo turns looking over to his right after hearing the noise of a car door slamming shut. Stepping foot outside the car appeared a woman wearing a short leather jacket and blue skinny jeans running towards him with her hand reaching out."
"What the hell are you doing to Taku! Get away from him! Star ability Healing Whip!"
Swinging her arm back, spinning the whip, she launches it at the man in the dark robe. As the whip was about to make contact, they jumped backward into the air avoiding the hit; right as he landed back on his feet a series of lashes appeared directly in his face- noticing that the whip had extended out further than its original length. The guy in the dark robe once again avoids each swing rotating his body around, left, right, forward, and back.
"Hm? That was quite the move you've got there. But calm down for a minute. I have nothing to do with this boy. All I did was attend to his wounds if you look closely, he's currently being healed."
Tila stops attacking for a second but keeps her guard up. Peeking over at Taku, making sure that he wasn't lying, and to her surprise they were telling the truth. A form of energy was covering his chest.
"Don't you dare move at all. Stay exactly where you are!"
"Sorry, but I'll be on my way now, no need to worry yourself about him or about me. Give it a bit of time and he will be back on his feet- if it had not been for me, I guarantee you he'd be dead. So, thank you for the thanks, and goodbye, I do pray we cross paths. Taku."
"Hey! I never said you could leave yet! -"
'Taku I will be waiting now... Hehehe. Show me what's to unfold.'
*Voowsh*
"...!"
Seeing the portal open alongside the dark-robed figure disappear within the darkness left Tila startled with the thought of what Star could possibly contain the ability of healing and teleporting if that was even teleporting, to begin with... Directing her thoughts away from that strange person while keeping in mind the situation, her main concern was Taku, getting him somewhere away from here and in a much safer location.
'I have no other choice... you're going to be staying at my place whether your conscience likes it or not, getting away from here and letting me attend to any of your wounds that aren't touched is a top priority.'
*...*
"After all, ... I feel responsible for what happened... I should've gone with you to the Guild's office."
Tila sits up bending down on one knee picking him up and carrying him in both arms walking over to her car and placing him in the passenger seat. Driving back to her place.
Upon arrival at her fancy apartment, A building bright with tons of floors from what can be seen from the outside. After stepping out of her car and grabbing Taku she makes her way to the elevator hitting number 7, taking them all the way up to her floor. Exiting the elevator and walking to her door she manages to dig her keycard out of the right-side pocket, leaning against the door and getting it to scan the card. A quiet ding with the sound of the locks unlocking, she kicks the door open heading towards her sofa in the living room laying him down, making her way back she closes the open door and heads to the closest to grab a blanket and proceed to heal any other wounds he may have.
'The blanket should help a bit; I know it's quite cold in here.'
Placing the blanket on his legs she notices something odd.
'The hole and energy... It's gone? I can't see anything else that needs healing...? Just what capabilities did they have? I guess it doesn't matter that much, nothing seems out of suspicious. I will let you have some rest then.'
"Taku, Goodnight."
