The librarian and the assistant were shocked to see Alexander entering the library at three in the afternoon.
"Good morning, ladies. I'm Alexander. "He grabbed a pamphlet on the long front desk about today's special event, Mild Savagery's theatre concert on the fourth floor of their university building, and handed it to them. "It's a shame that both of you hadn't attended our concert. I would have liked to see you there next time."
Both of the ladies stayed in their place for a little while as if they couldn't believe what they saw. Well, this was the first time Alexander got inside their University's library. He wasn't the type to read books and waste his precious hours on them.
He would rather watch Netflix.
"Oh my god, you are so handsome!" The librarian's assistant exclaimed.
Alexander just winked at them, appreciating their attention. "Thank you."
There were only a few students working on the tables, probably busy doing their homework for their next class. There were hushed voices as students collaborate on their school projects to discuss their research.
The entire floor usually bustling with library-goers, stood a bit empty.
He walked inside and made a beeline towards the sturdy bookshelves lining the walls, scanning the books and checking them out. He didn't make it obvious that he was indeed looking for someone.
When he found Cathryn inside the Lounge area curled on the fabric couch with a book covering her face, he sat on one of the beanbags on the floor near her.
The afternoon sun's warmth shined through windows as she slept and there was muffled music coming from her earbuds. Alexander regarded the pokemon costume she wore and it looked adorable on her.
A sleeping Pikachu.
Should he wait for her to wake up or just immediately surprise her as a prank?
What if she beat the shit out of him when she wakes?
The utter lack of noise on the second floor of the library, where the Lounge Area was located, made the silence seem too obvious. There were no backpacks laid on the floor as their owners slouched in their chair since they were all on the ground floor, anyway.
People were busy attending other University events to gain Homeroom points so that must be enough as an explanation, too. The stacks on the floor, usually well-lit and busy with book browsers had become a meeting point for shadows, hazy strangers huddled in the dark.
Flutters filled his chest.
It could be Alexander and Cat right now.
'Strangers huddled in the dark.' Alexander coughed and cleared his throat.
Something pulled Cathryn out of her sleep and she glanced up with a pair of cafe macchiato eyes staring right back at her. Now that she thought about it, his eyes were a unique shade of hazel brown. Or were they gold or green?
She stared back in shock for a couple of seconds before she got a hold of herself, wiping excess saliva off her face and fixed my hair a little.
"What brings you here?"
Cathryn cleared her throat, her gaze fluttering shamelessly to the school's most popular band member of Mild Savagery, Alexander. His mischievous good looks and deep, husky vocals had endeared himself to the female student body.
Alexander tilted his head, watching her for what seemed like an eternity before speaking, "I was justโฆ I feel like reading a book."
"Aren't you busy?" Cathryn said in disbelief. "Mild Savagery is performing at the theatre, right?"
"You should go." Alexander's hands cradled his head as he blinked at her lazily like a cat. "You'll be late. Let's go together."
"I'm not going," Cathryn replied, avoiding all forms of eye contact. "I'm busy today."
"Why aren't you going?" Alexander sighed a frustrated sigh. "Don't you want to see me perform?"
"It wasn't done yet?" She asked then shook her head, having no idea what time it is at the moment. "Anyway, I'm doing something important."
"Like reading? Reading is more important than seeing our performance?" He teased good-naturedly and winked. "You have your priorities straight, huh? What is that you are reading anyway?"
Before she could lie about the genre and hide the cursed book away from him, Alexander snatched the book out of her hands.
"Erotica." He grinned wolfishly and then raised an eyebrow. "Do you like to read this, huh? Is this what was keeping you busy?"
His voice dropped an octave as if suggesting something else entirely. "Anton softly growled and Shannon's breasts hardened at the vibrations it caused. The heat turned scorching hot until she realized her breathing had turned into a borderline pant. They stared at each other for what seemed forever until he shifted his hips, snugly resting the front of his jeans against her panties."
Cathryn didn't dare breathe and they stared at each other, the temperature in the air rises at a higher degree. "Hard, aroused male rubbed against the core of her pleasure. A soft moan passed her lips, shocking Shannon."
"Shut up, Alexander!" Cathryn whispered, chagrined.
This bastard!
An overzealous librarian will not tolerate any sort of noise from anything so she tried her best to keep her voice down. "Shut the fuck up, will you?"
