Kara's POV.
Okay Kara, deep breaths, deep breaths.
Happy thoughts, optimism.
I'm about to go on and list the three good things in this situation but then I hear a sound and so I did the most responsible thing to do in a situation like this.
Run.

When I finally got to my room, I was panting like crazy.
I opened my door and sat down on the bed. Where my nook and my cookies were. The cookies were already soft, but I ate them like that anyway.
After that I brush my teeth, put on my ratty pajamas and called it a day.
I tried to sleep but it just wouldn't come. I sat up and attempted to get up but then I heard whistling. Oh no not again.
I don't know if I'll be able to sleep here, at all.
But I push the bad thoughts away and decide to stay up all night. That didn't work as I was out like a light.

I woke up at exactly 7:30. And I had a feeling I didn't wake up myself. Like someone tapped me or something.
Seriously, this room is messing with my head!
I get up and stretch. I reach for my amulet on my neck but it's gone.
Wait what? That can't be right. It can't be gone. Where the heck did I put it?!?
Oh of course I had to play explorer and I bet I dropped it on that table.
I started searching the room frantically and suddenly, the books on the dresser lift themselves up and the egg shaped thingy is revealed, with my amulet still in it.
Strangely and slowly, weird is becoming normal.
I face palm myself and tell myself to ignore the chuckle I heard again.
I took the egg thing and my amulet is still in it. Oh thank goodness, I don't know what I would have done.
Wait, this isn't my amulet is it? Its green. And last time I checked, my amulet had always been blue. Not green. Is this really mine?
I try to remove it, remembering when I tried to remove it yesterday and failed and surprisingly, it came out easily this time.
I turn the back and my grandma's initials are there. D.A.
Its definitely mine...but green. Oh well, now it matches with my green eyes better.
That being said and done, I leave it on my bed and head to the bathroom to brush and shower.
I still can't believe I have a whole bathroom to myself!! Its awesome! I really have been missing a lot..a whole big lot.
After brushing and showering, I try to put some effort into my outfit this time. Then I still pack my hair in a ponytail, only letting a few strands drop.
After wearing my clothes, I see my body lotion floating in the air and I ignore it as I wear my amulet.
"Oooh ooh floating lotion" a boy appeared out of nowhere and said
And then he looks around and sees the shocked expression on my face. "Took ya long enough" He said
I'm still too appalled to say anything.
"How did you..what are you..who are you?!!!?" I almost yell
"Shh shh no need to make noise" he said shushing me
"I will make a whole more noise if you don't give me answers!" I say
"Fine. Okay. You might wanna sit down for this" He says and I don't move an inch.
"Have it your way"
I stare him down until he gives in "My name is Gavin and I'm a ghost"
He said and i almost burst into laughter.
He was right. I do need to sit down. I take a sit on the two seater. "And you expect me to believed that how?" I ask folding my arms.
I actually believe him..I just want logical explanations.
"I don't. But that's what this is for" he said gesturing to a wall
"Hunh?" I say and he walks through the wall. He pops his head out. "Believe me now?" He smirked.
I would have knocked that stupid smirk off his face, if he were human.
But the whole thing sounds shady. "So you were the one messing with me yesterday?" It all makes sense now
He smirks even more "I don't know what your talking about"
"Oh of course you do. The drawers, the whistling, the floating of objects. You were using you ghostly powers!" I say almost too loud. Lucky me, no one normal is enough to be up this early on a Saturday.
"Hey I bet you even woke me up!"
"Ghostly powers? Seriously? What are you ten? Their called ghostly manipulations" he said
"Whatever ghost boy. Why did you wake me up? Why were you messing with me and why can I even see you??"
He comes out of the wall. "Well well well. Nosy little Kara aren't you"
"How did you know my name?"
"I know many things Kara" Gavin said in a weird way.
"Okay you have some explaining to do..or I'll.. I'll call the cops on you?" Come to think of it, I can't do anything to him!
"Okay please?"
"Much better. Now, story time, get comfortable" He said and I did so.
"So your questions"
"One, How can I see you? And why didn't I see you throughout yesterday? Why now?"
"Easy, easy. You can see me because your amulet is green"
"Why is it green? It was always blue, why the sudden Change?"
"Well..its green now because it's charged. It was blue all this while because it wasn't charged and you charged it yesterday with that 'egg thingy'. Its actually called a Prohexis. Its used to charge amulets like yours. An amulet is useless if it isn't charged. And so when it is charged, its main function will activate and the colour will change" He explained
"Okay so what was written on the prohexis? What language is that? And the main function of my amulet is to see ghosts?"
"The language on the prohexis is hyndrilusces. Its a complex language but once you learn it, you learn it. And yes seeing ghosts is the main function of your amulet"
"Okay are you just making words up?" I ask because it seems so
"Why am I here? What do I do with my amulet now? Did you know my grandma?"
"Your here cause I summoned you actually. About your amulet, we'll discuss that later and yes I knew Darra"
"How old are you? Where are you from? What's your story? Your dead right? How did you die?"
"I'm a hundred and eighteen. 119 this year though. I'm from Centro. Of course I'm dead. I was a victim of arson. I died in this very room actually so your room was my room"
"Don't creep me out...more than you already have. What's a centro? How did the arson start? And I know this might sound stupid but I always thought ghosts that live on earth after death have some unfinished business"
"Bingo! I have unfinished business with you" Gavin said and my head clouded up with more and more questions.
