I just shrug and pat their back before I announce, "We need to hurry before it's too late."
Roein glances at me as his brow raises and says, "Okay but we need to hurry since my shift will start when the moon rises in the north and I need to come to the palace."
"Wait... What? Why do you need to come to the palace?" I ask, panicking inside my system.
I perceive that he doesn't need to visit the palace since the king is not in the Hell Kingdom. And now I have a bad feeling about this demon... But I don't know what it is... Can we trust him just because he is Conrad's friend?
"I need to greet the king before I do my shift."
"What? Are you sort of a pet dog of the king?" Conrad asks, jokingly.
Bur Roein doesn't buy his joke when he mentions the pet dog. Instead, he just smiles at him and shrugs. I just look at Conrad, who's now staring at Roein with a hint of confusion.
